"You might be bigger than me but I'm pretty sure I'm stronger than you. Apart from anything else, right now I want you and Tiki in the same room. Because you two are actually going to sit here and talk, instead of you saying it's hopeless and it's all your fault and Tiki going crazy and Holly doing something dumb because she's worried about you. So. Sit. Down."

Rei glares back down at Clay.
"You aren't stronger. And yes. You are right. It's not my fault. Nor hopeless."
Rei leans in just a bit closer.
"I'm just done. Pushing this fight means she really doesn't care about me. Or know that I care about her. That's clear now. Tiki could have half the guild try to help her and she'd ignore it because of whatever narrative she made for herself. I tried over and over to help her and care for her. Before and after. But all that didn't matter."
Rei turns to Tiki.
"You pushed this fight because you wanted a 'villian' to defeat. Do you feel better? That you beat up your former best friend? That 'evil' Rei has been vanquished. Now leave. Do whatever you want. Because I'm done. Done with you. And done with fighting. I'm not getting into another combat. Ever again."
Rei turns back to Clay.
"Is that enough talking for you? Now move aside."

A very concerned/peeved Holly grabs Rei's shoulder and hauls her bodily back into the infirmary, like it or not. "Nope. You're not going anywhere if that's how you're going to act. Either you and Tiki talk it out and go back to being friends..." she glances over at Tiki, "...or Tiki stops being dumb and realizes that she's been acting incredibly stupid about this whole thing. Even for a human."

Rei violently flails her shoulder to disconnect herself from Holly.
"I will act however I want to! I'm just done with all of this. I've tried everything, I've said everything. What's left to say? Fighting was all that was left."
Rei tries to turn to leave again.

Tiki looks up when she is addressed, and narrows her eyes at Rei. She gets up to her knees at the edge of the cot. "I don't care!? I care too much is what that is! So, no! I don't feel good at all! I'm the 'villain' here! I took this fight because I didn't know what else to do! Perhaps pushing you far away was the only way! This was a way to get over everything!" Tiki whips her head in Holly's direction, and nearly shrieks at her. "You're dumb! You're stupid!! You are the worst kind of villain who thinks they aren't one! Go away!!"

"You're both being stupid, because I have known Mankey that handle problems better than you, and solving their problems by going crazy and punching stuff is what Mankey do. So you -" he points at Rei "- need to sit down, and you both need to shut up, before I bring Red Child back in here to sit on you just so you hold still long enough to get your brains working because you might be stronger than me but I'm pretty sure you can't lift an Arcanine."
Clay pauses, breathing hard. "I told you from the start this fight was stupid and wasn't gonna solve anything. It's no wonder that thing started following you around, Rei, because from where I'm standing I can see two disasters and another one waiting to happen." He points a finger at Holly to indicate where the third one is.

Holly rounds on Tiki, eyes flashing a crimson red. "You're just upset that she chose me instead of you. At least a Pokemon knows when it's time to move on and doesn't keep pining after the one they can't have. At least a Pokemon understands when they've lost the battle for affection with a mate. Two things that you, Tiki, don't seem to understand, and I can't even begin to figure out why." She scoffs. "And people say that Pokemon are dumb animals. Who is the real 'dumb animal' here?" Honedge's tassel tightens around Holly's wrist, sharing in her emotions or possibly trying to calm her in its own way. It's unclear which.

Tiki holds onto the side of the bed to keep herself from starting another fight. "You're some freak who lives in a swamp, and didn't even know how to bathe herself, or sleep in a bed! What the hell do you know about relationships!?"

Rei stops, sighs, and storms back to the edge of Tiki's bed. She slaps her as hard as Tiki did to her before. Even slapping her hard enough to knock her back to her bed. Rei stares at Tiki.
"Do NOT talk about Holly that way. Ever again. And stop blaming her!"
Rei leans in real close and glares daggers at Tiki.
"If you really cared... If you REALLY cared... You'd do something a 'best friend' would actually do. Respect. My Decision. Judging by all of this, you didn't respect that decision. So you don't care."
Before Tiki can respond, she turns and slaps Holly as well.
"Stop this! She's not worth it anymore. I choose you, you don't have to compensate for it anymore. I'm done with her."
And then Clay pipes up and a third slap is thrown.
"Shut up Clay. Stop with this 'I've been raised by pokemon and they handle it better' stuff. I'm tired of hearing it. Of course they handle it better, they don't let themselves get wrapped up in emotions as much. Consider yourself lucky. But please, if you have more suggestions at what I should have done besides fight, please present it. But judging by how you are yelling now it's 'talk'. What's left to be said? Just saying 'talk' doesn't tell me anything. I've tried mutliple times even BEFORE I made a decision to get to both of them, and then after tried to connect to Tiki in every way possible. THERES NOTHING LEFT."
Rei lets go of the fist she had clentched.
"Nothing? Good. I'm leaving."
Rei turns to leave once again.

When Rei slaps her, Holly has to physically restrain herself to avoid instinctively retaliating against Rei, who has done nothing wrong. After she is no longer in danger of lopping off one of Rei's limbs (or worse), she rubs her face before shooting one last glare at Tiki and following Rei out. The poor healer-assistant Pokemon have been cowering in the corner the entire time, fearful of the shouting patients and their friends. Especially once things turn violent. After Rei and Holly leave, they come over to check on Tiki and Clay to make sure that slap wasn't any worse than it seemed. Once satisfied (or shoved off), they quickly flee the room.

"You're opinions don't matter! You're barely even human!" Before she can continue her hate filled tirade, she is blindsided with hard slap from Rei. She holds her face as she tumbles back. That hurt way more than the stunfisk. She slowly sits back up, talking softly, growing in volume, and tears streaming down her cheeks.
"....*sniff*....It was all her fault...Y-You say I don't care....It's you! You NEVER cared! You never cared! And, you never loved me! Not for instant! Admit it!! You dangled love in front of my face on a string! When Holly showed up, you wanted nothing to do with me! You did it all to spite me! Admit it, Rei!!" Full sobbing at this point, she stumbles to the doorway to keep yelling at Rei. "If YOU were a real friend, you wouldn't have strung me along, propped me up, and then broke me down!! Why didn't you say something before!? Why didn't you let me down earlier!? You broke my heart with no regards for my feelings! You only worried about how big of pain in the ass I was gonna be! You would rather run away now, and forget me huh!? You wish I was dead don't you, Rei!? You had me wrapped around your finger, and YOU KNEW IT!! REI!!! RREEEIII!!!!" Tiki falls back to the bed, and sobs into pillow.

Clay is still standing in the doorway, and after Rei slaps him, he makes a grab for her hand, trying to hang on to her. "I wouldn't keep saying it if it wasn't true. Now go sit on your bed and hang on to your girlfriend before she stabs the girl who's supposed to be your friend, because yes, the answer is talk, and no, you haven't been doing it. Every time the opportunity comes up, you walk away, either after Tiki pushes you away or before. Before you made the decision, you kept trying to shove the decision off on them. Surprise meetings are not the way you deal with love problems, I'm pretty sure. And afterwards you let Tiki say "I don't wanna talk" or do the weird creepy fake happy thing, and then you just went miles away completely until this fight."
He shakes his head, and looks at Tiki - without leaving the doorway. "'Course, talking to a wall would be easier than talking to Tiki, apparently. Seriously, the entire guild has been trying to help you move on like a normal person. Your Pokémon hate everybody now, because they think you refusing to be helped means no one is trying to help you. And you're just gonna go ahead and blame all your friends and the girl you fell in love with instead of acknowledging that maybe somebody can love two people and still have to make a decision."
He points at Holly with his free hand. "And you? Right now you are not helping. I'm pretty sure boiling it all down to "you lose" isn't gonna make Tiki do anything but run away harder, and I would really like you or at least Honedge to be farther away from Tiki because if you do something done I'm gonna have to stop you, and I can't keep Rei from getting away and you from stabbing Tiki and Tiki from blowing out all our eardrums all at once. I have a feeling it's just gonna end with Honedge stuck in me and I didn't really like that the first time it happened."
He shoves back against Rei roughly, intending to push her back into the room. "Now you really need to sit down, because if you keep this up I'm gonna pay you back for that slap, and I really don't want to hurt you but if knocking you back out is the only way to get you two to stop running away from your problems I'll do it. And then we can all shut up for a moment because right now I'm pretty sure two of the humans in this room are crazy and I'm not really sure about the other two either, and that would make the least crazy person in the room a sword. And that is not really a place I want to be in right now."
If he can possibly manage it, he bulls forward enough to pull the door shut behind him.

Rei more or less ignores Clays pleading for the moment as Tiki is wailing in front of her. She wavers for a moment. It breaks her heart that Tiki would think that of her. She leans over and slowly wraps Tiki in a hug as her attitude cracks back to normal Rei. She lets go and looks at Tiki in the face, no longer angry.
"Tiki. Of course I love you. I love Holly too. That's why it was impossible. In the end I went with my gut. And choose her. I'm sorry but that is my decision. No amount of fighting or yelling is going to change that. But... you won. You proved that you are stronger than all of us. Just run. Go. I'm poisonous at this point. Run to Celadon. Be Tiki again. Leave me, I'm not worth it."
Rei just goes to sit back in the bed so everyone will stop yelling.

Tiki's crying is momentarily halted when she is hugged by Rei. She has felt her warmth many times, and she thought it would never be felt again. She collapses at Rei's feet, her fists ball up, and her eyes screw shut. She fights through more tears, and crying. "N-No!...Nononono! No you don't!...You never-...I don't believ- *hic*....W-w-why? Whywhywhy!? Why dion't you love meeee!?!? Whywhywhy!?" Tiki lays her head on Rei's lap, and bawls her eyes out with pain filled sobs.

"Love doesn't make sense Tiki. I cared for both of you a lot even before my decision. I had to talk to Holly and try my best to convince her to stay. I talked with you multiple times. Do you not remember the night we drank together? And then all the times I tried to reach you after? What more can I do then?"
Rei sighs and her stare becomes a little more intense.
"And there's something you are missing. I didn't use one steel or ghost on my team. Not a one. If I wanted to win for the sake of winning, we wouldn't be here both injured. It would just be you. But that wouldn't be me fighting at my all. Using Steels and Spirits would have made your life a living hell. But... that wouldn't be me fighting to keep you, it would be just a battle where I had pokemon that would block your normal types. No skill. No passion. Just an unfair battle."
Rei shifts in her seat as she calms down.
"I don't know what more I can say. You won, so you are free to leave. But if you actually believe I'm telling the truth and understand that Clay and I have been fighting for you this whole time, then please stay."
Rei settles in, clearly done.

"I do remember that night!....We drank...talked...danced...but.......But, you said you were ready to choose Holly at that point. You were upset with me....I asked for a kiss that night, and you gave it to me!....Why?....Why did you do that? You didn't want me then, so why did you drag everything out!? You even gave me a kiss before my fight with Ashley! What was that for!? Were you teasing me!? So, no! I don't believe you loved me at all when I clearly loved you with all my heart!" Tiki shakes her head, and moves away back to her bed. She sits, and hugs her legs to her body tightly. Tiki quietly whimpers to herself. "....W-What did I do?....Did I say something bad?....Am I ugly?....."

Rei looks confused.
"I... never said that Tiki. I was wrestling with it until basically the day I choose. I felt guilty about the first kiss, yes. But that's because I was still trying to be fair at that point. But you were clearly hurting at that time and I thought it might help calm you and maybe help me make my choice better. It didn't really help, just made my mind more confused."
Rei looks a bit more annoyed now.
"Stop this Tiki. Stop making up facts. Stop thinking that I've been out to 'get you' or want to keep you on a hook. You were more than that to me. And stop this blaming yourself. I've done enough of that for the both of us. You didn't do anything. If you DID anything the choice would have been easier. You aren't ugly. There's nothing wrong with you."
