Tiki wipes her eyes, looks up at Rei, and finally breaks a smile. "*Sniff* Uh-Huh...We'll definitely perform! Oh, and thank you very much!" She gives Fan a kiss on the forehead, and sets her off back to Clay. She also gives a big hug to Rei. After a moment she is able to pull herself together, and ready to head back with the group.

Clay pats Raido's shoulder reassuringly, ruffling his leafy mane. "I'm fine, but thanks."
He wanders over to the others, partly to help reassure Tiki and partly to rescue Fan, who is starting to look like she's having second thoughts about actually getting cried on. "Yeah, let's get home. We'll figure something out. I mean, somebody like that leaves an impression - I'll bet somebody's heard of that lady. And then we can help her."
Once Fan is freed she scampers over to Clay and up to ride on his uninjured shoulder. "We've got a long walk to go so let's not spend it moping, right? You're gonna worry Fan." That ears him another tweaked ear.

With everyone having managed to cope with the sudden hard left that the day's events have just taken, Team CATR pull themselves together once more and resume their journey back towards Saffron, though perhaps just a tad slower than before as their thoughts and fears weigh heavily on their minds. If it wasn't dark before, it certainly is now, as Team CATR finally arrives in Saffron after nearly three and a half hours of trudging along the road (the extra 20 minutes were spent dealing with stress and cheering everyone up again). Most everyone in the city is asleep by now, so any reports or answer-seeking will likely have to wait until morning.

Tiki is now dragging herself into the guild due to exhaustion. She is slouching, and her eyes are heavy. She turns back to the others. "No one's awake...guess we we can get to sleep too...I'll see you all at breakfast. Goodnight..."
She let's out a big yawn, but stops and looks at Rei. "Oh wait...you aren't a member yet...Hmmm..." She ponders for moment, but after almost drifting off to sleep while standing, she shakes her head, and takes Rei by the sleeves. "*YYAAWWNnnnn*....You can come sleep with me in the normal branch...we gotta go meet Miss Genevieve in the morning anyways to turn in missions, and stuff...Oh yeah..." She takes a moment to sniff herself. "Ohhh...I smell like swamp..." She shuffles her way to the washroom to clean up. After showring, and getting into pajamas, she shuffles back with Rei in tow to Tiki's personal bedroom. She flops down leaving just enough space on the bed for Rei, and sweet little Tiki, begins to snore like a giant Tauros was in the room.

Clay is really hoping the lack of anyone being up isn't going to get him into serious trouble on the whole catch-something front. Hopefully he can present his catch tomorrow.
... Hopefully the fact that he has no idea what exactly his catch is isn't going to be a problem, either.
Just to make sure he bops around the Fire branch areas for a bit just in case Lady Ashandra's still up and about. Assuming he doesn't find anything he'll wander back to the dormitory and set Fan, Sandy and the little candle loose in the vicinity of his bed and chatters to them quietly for a moment. Great job today, you guys. That place was tough.
Fan and Sandy get some snuggles. He's... not really sure how to snuggle a candle, but he pats her little wax head approvingly anyway. You still need a name, huh... After a moment of watching the flickering flame, he murmurs, "Flower. Your flame looks kinda like one. How's that sound?" The newly-dubbed Flower burbles in the affirmative; she seems pretty easygoing. Welcome to the family. I'll show you off tomorrow. Try not to burn anything tonight, okay?
And Clay proceeds to curl up on the bed with Fan and Sandy around him and Flower sitting next to the bed, yellow eyes staring around the dorm curiously. He's asleep and getting into a snoring competition with Fan within a few moments. Washing can wait until tomorrow, swamp smell or no swamp smell; he's way too tired to bathe tonight.

Although Rei isn't anywhere as tired as the others, it 'is' still late. She contemplates about where she's going to sleep before Tiki just decides for her. She gives a small wave to the others.
"I guess I'm going to the normal branch, then. Tiki's orders."
Rei likewise washes up and changes to a silky sleep robe. She comes back to see Tiki already dead asleep, and has left room in the bed for her. Not really one to care what others think, she slips in, making sure not to disturb Tiki. She drifts off, hoping to block out the unfortunate events at the end of their day, and instead think about the good.

Sano retreats to his quarters after a brief goodbye and confirmation that Rei had a place to sleep. The Poison Guild was still bustling, with various rooms dorms playing pranks on one another. A couple more studious guildies are working on a new concoction, but Sano beelines for his room. Mitis springs off his shoulder and hops into bed before Sano can reach it, and Aloe plants himself by the seat of the bed. Sano ponders releasing his new ally for a moment, but decides the smell might cause issues. Perhaps there's a toxic Pokemon daycare that he could drop Alluvium off at during the night, but that'd have to wait for another day. Mitis and Aloe fall asleep rather quickly, but the stars are too bright, making it hard for Sano to sleep. Or maybe it's his roommate's incessant snoring that's keeping him up. Or something in the trail rations he bought was rotten. Or perhaps he's afraid of another war nightmare coming to disturb him. He thinks up a thousand more excuses and distractions to avoid dreaming about the girl before drifting off to the memory of her being sucked into the shapeless void.

The bickering of an ornery Dodrio in the adjacent Flying Guild awakens Sano from the horrible vision. He never felt any kinship with the Queen, but the violence and urgency of the vision is certainly alarming. He wanders to the showers, washing off the Grimer stench. Mitis greets him with a hungry mewl, pawing her empty food bowl to dispel any ambiguity. Sano heads to the mess hall, which has become the de facto meeting place for his party. He held the note he was given by the woman in his hands, still unsure about what to do with it. Perhaps the others slept better than he last night, and have a plan of action.
His "punctual" arrival to the hall is met with only partially served breakfast, so he wanders over to the message board to see there is any mention of the woman or any "horde".

In the morning, birds pokemon are out singing, Beedrill buzz around Bellossoms, and a nice beam of sunlight shines through the window, hitting Tiki in the face. "UUggghhhhh......." That dreaded dream again...She hoped it would be a freak dream from being in a new place, but it happened again. Well she was stressed out, but...She decided to focus on a new morning. Tiki slowly sits up, hair, and PJs, is total disarray, eyes incredibly heavy, drool smeared across her mouth. Tiki in the morning was a beautiful, and majestic creature.
She sat there unmoving for about 2 minutes as her brain took its' time to turn on. She could feel a lump beside her, and after a moment of fright, she lifted the covers to thankfully reveal it was just Rei. She limply shook Rei awake. "Rei....Rei...It's...*YYyaaawwwnnn*....T-time to get up..." She makes her way to go wash up, much to the horror of other branch members.
She was much more awake now, and headed back to get dressed in her standard wear. She also gave Rei a good luck hug to wherever she ended up in the guild, went to go eat breakfast, and then proceeded to hand in her D Rank mission. She crossed it off the list she made, and headed over to the boards to see anything else going on.
The LIST of Tiki!
F: 1.) Fetch supplies! 2.) Find the wandering Meowth!
D: 1.) Go make Pokemon friend! 2.) Help Branch officers with field studies!
B: 1.) Rumors of bad pokemon! Route between Saffron City and Cerulean Cape Town
"S-Rank?" Go see Genevieve.

Clay is generally a morning person. Terrible nightmares kind of put a crimp in that. This one seems like it was shorter than the last one, but at least this time he manages to wake up early and without screaming. He does hug Fan rather tightly in the process of rousing all his Pokémon as well... not that they have a choice considering a bed with an active Clay in it is not the most stable place to sleep. Even if he's up on time, though, that doesn't mean he's going to enjoy it - after the beating he took yesterday he's sore and stiff all over and generally in kind of a grouchy mood even without mysterious nightmares.
Washing up happens now, especially since some of the other branch members are looking at him funny for smelling like a Grimer. His stomach is growling loudly, but he's still got something to do first, so he sets off in search of Lady Ashandra. For all the unpleasantness that occurred yesterday, he did at least complete his mission... or, well, the mission other people were given while he was asleep that he's been assuming was also his mission.
Flower is back in her ball for the moment, primarily to avoid embarrassment if somebody asks him what kind of Pokémon she is, because then he'd have to admit that he has absolutely no clue. Now, if he was a scary boss lady, where would he be...? Preferably somewhere hungry recruits could find her quickly before breakfast.

This night, the nightmare is blissfully short in comparison to the previous one. First, it flashes many of the same images as last time. Then, it shows you something new. An impossibly large silhouette of a Pokemon flies over Celadon Castle Town, draining the life from plants and animals with its mere presence as it passes over them, while a swarm of faceless humans immune to this life-draining aura rush in, dragging people out of their homes to murder in the streets, or even just setting their homes and businesses alight with torches as they rush past. Eventually, the horde reaches the city center, where Knights of Kanto alongside other varied defenders desperately try to fend them off. The enemy's numbers seem endless at first, but then the defenders realize something: It isn't that there are infinite foes, but instead that their foes do not die. They are wounded and fall down as if dead, only to get back up moments later and rush the line once more. An impossible feat, but then, so is draining the life from living things simply by being nearby. Such things are the stuff of legends. Eventually, the defending line breaks and they quickly fall back to the Castle proper, to defend their Queen to the last.
This dream ends the same as the last one. You stand within the Throne Room of Queen Amelia, looking down at her lifeless corpse that seemed to have been so casually tossed aside. The difference this time? There is a figure sitting in the throne, boots resting atop the former Queen's corpse. You hear a bone-chilling laugh as the dream ends suddenly.
For completing the D-Ranked mission "Make a new Pokemon friend!", Tiki (and anyone else who had a similar quest) receives 500 Poke Yen and 1 Trainer XP. For clearing a little over half of Lavender Swamp, as well as the events of the trip back home, the party receives a Milestone!

Rei had in fact been awake, but still lying in bed for the moment, wondering about both the last night and the upcoming day. They'd all have to figure out who this 'D'mara' is and inform the guild of last nights events, and she herself has to finally find a branch. With her mind a bit into overdrive, she can't seem to fall back asleep. She reaches into her pack and pulls out her blank notebook, and begins making illustrations of those from yesterday. She begins drawing the stump spirit, noting information on the site. How it moved, attacked, etc. She notes the blade and the girl on the same page, due to their connection. She then finally gets to D'mara, and is forced to leave the page mostly blank. In fact there's a lot of blank space on all four, with all the questions it raises. Rei sighs, supposes it's better to have something and an image rather than nothing, and goes to rip a back page out of the journal. She takes this, splitting it in half, and writes strange runes on them both. Old practice by now, but with a renewed vigor that could only come from having this action justified. When she's done, she's now in the possession of two more Cleanse Tags. As she puts them away, Tiki shoots straight up, looking an adorable mess. "Good morning Tiki, I hope you-"Before she can finish, it seems Tiki temporarily forgot Rei was in the same bed, and the younger girl jumps up in a bit of fright. Rei nearly falls out of the bed before Tiki settles again, informing Rei that she needs to wake up, and leaves to wash up. Poor thing is half awake, didn't even notice I was up. I'll give her privacy for a moment.Rei goes to ready herself into a new outfit, still the same style of Kimono, but a striking red this time, and follows Tiki out to the breakfast hall. She herself gets a quick bite, and lets Shinpuru back out in order to get something as well (Raido might be a little big for the hall). When Tiki goes to give her a hug and good luck about choosing a branch, she looks concerned a moment, and follows her to the board list, Shinpuru in tow. When they get there, Sano is also about, and Rei flashes a smile at the boy before her expression turns a bit more serious. "Hello Sano. Now I'm not sure how busy you both were, but aren't we all going to talk to one of the heads about what happened last night? Get that information off of our minds to move on, and while it's still fresh?"Rei converts her records of D'mara, Honedge, Phantump, and the Ghost girl into her archive.
Rei creates two Cleanse Tags

Clay
You don't have to look far to find Lady Ashandra, as it turns out. Seems she's terrorizing the newbies again. Her giant fire-bear (for lack of a known name) makes some sort of noise when it spots you. She merely ignores you. Seems you're not even worth her attention right now. After several minutes of awkwardly standing around, you watch as everyone begins to line up, presumably to present their newest captures. You quickly hop in line as well (silly humans and their lines) and wait your turn. You recognize the boy from yesterday who informed you of the new task in the first place, as well as 'Firestarter' Ashley from the first day. As expected, the boy presents a skittish Ponyta as his 'prize'. Ashandra sizes it up, then startles it by shouting 'Boo!' and laughs cruelly as the poor thing is literally frightened right back into its Apricorn Ball. The boy hangs his head in shame and walks off to the side to wait for everyone else to finish.
Eventually, Ashley is up, just before Clay gets his turn. She impresses everyone by showing off not only a new partner in the form of a Charmeleon, but also that her "Smoke" evolved into its second form, Quilava. She's clearly been busy. Clay expects her to receive high praise of some kind, but instead all she gets is a 'Good. Keep it up.', almost as if this sort of progress is what's expected of her.
At long last, however, it is Clay's turn. Ashandra stares you down, waiting expectantly for you to either produce something or admit defeat...
Sano
Alas, there seems to be nothing on any bulletin boards or among the local gossipers concerning a "D'Mara" or a horde of any kind.

Clay makes a face as he watches Ashandra scare the poor Ponyta. Yeah, it looks pretty skittish, but it'll probably grow out of that, it just got separated from its herd yesterday. Messing with it is really just mean. Clay gives the boy a friendly wave as the stupid slow line inches forward. Why do humans like these things so much? If he didn't know how upset people get when he does it he'd just skip to the front of the line right now.
Oh, and there's Ashley - did her mouse critter really evolve already? Obviously if he's going to keep up with her he needs to get busy. And there's a lizardy sort of thing, too, that looks pretty tough. Looks like he's got his work cut out for him... She gets a wave, too, and a mouthed Nice work.
And now it's his turn. "Right, so, I spent all of yesterday in Lavender Swamp. I don't think I like swamps much. But I did find this little one." He releases Flower. The little candle floats up to head height, apparently examining Lady Ashandra with curiosity. "Meet the ghost light of Lavender Swamp. Well, one of them, there's a whole tribe."

Lady Ashandra raises an eyebrow quizzically as she scrutinizes the floating candle.
"A floating candle... hmph. You went into the swamp, spent all day there, and all you brought back was a candle? Pathetic. You'll have to do better than that if you want to succeed here."
With that, she turns back towards the rest of the ever-dwindling group of would-be Adventurers.
"All of you, listen up!" They immediately pay rapt attention to Lady Ashandra. "I am not disappointed in you. You were expected to do poorly, and you have exceeded every expectation in that respect. A handful of you," She looks at Ashley, and a few others you don't recognize. "have managed to prove that you belong here. The rest of you need to work much harder. It's only the third day since most of you arrived, so I won't be throwing you out just yet. Instead, I expect you to prove me wrong about yourselves. Prove that you belong here, or give up now and go home. As for the how...figure it out for yourselves. Two weeks from now I will be evaluating you again. If you haven't given me a good reason to keep you around, then you'll find yourself packing your bags and moving out. Get out of my sight."
She storms past the group, presumably heading for her office or someplace of the like to be alone (not counting the bear-thing that looks suspiciously like a really big version of Ashley's mousey Pokemon).

Clay is on the point of arguing - say, about the fact that he was kind of occupied with other things, or that the candle is stronger than she looks - but she brushes past him to address the group and he loses his chance. The giant fire-bear-thing - now that he thinks about it, the evolved form of Ashley's mouse critter looks a lot like it now - makes him think twice about interrupting.
Yeah, your mother was a Rattata and your father smelled like Durin Berries, he mutters, but he does it in candle-ese, hissing and popping like a wick burned down to the wax. Don't get too discouraged, Flower. We've got a lotta training to do but we'll show her who's pathetic around here...
He recalls the candle and glances around the crowd of fellow trainees, but unless somebody decides to catch him he'll head for the mess in hopes of not missing breakfast. These early-morning meetings are a pain for a guy who needs his food. If the others are still there by the time he gets in they'll see him walking in stiffly with a sour look on his face, but he still gives them a "be with you in a minute" sort of wave, because he's planning to get a big plate of food before he sits down.
A few minutes later he's finally got enough and settles down with the others. "Hope your mornings went better than mine. 'Nother nightmare last night and boss lady is a pain."

Tiki is spreading butter on a biscuit , as she looks at her pokemon eat their breakfast. "I still understand why you went there with that...thing...and her pokemon...." She takes a bite of the buscuit. "But...shoo hash the shame shream again?" She shallows, and wipes her mouth. "I had it again too...I wonder what it could mean, or...maybe I don't wanna know...Anyways, we should probably go see Miss Genevieve, and tell her about yesterday."

Sano examines his uneaten biscuit. "I had another nightmare as well, frighteningly similar to the last one. I can't seem to derive any meaning from it, though. I've never met the Queen, and my family has always told me the Knights of Kanto were a terrible, ruthless police force that cared only for money and glory. Perhaps my parents got yet another thing about the world wrong." He turns to their new companion. "Rei, are you familiar with dreams? Does it hold any meaning if we have the same terrifying dream not once, but twice?" Mitis jumps up his shoulder, having finished her own breakfast. "Ah, that reminds me, I should check in with my own guild about my new Grimer friend after breakfast."

Rei was quietly sipping tea while the others discussed their morning. It seemed Clay had a bit of bad news, and Rei hopes it's nothing serious. She's about to speak up about it when Sano questions her after they all talk about the nightmares.
"Only by certain associations I'm aware of shreams- I mean dreams. There are spirits rumored to be able to affect, or even devour, dreams. So I know a little bit, but not enough to cover a repeated nightmare like that. Are you three all having the same one?"
As the three nod to the affirmitive, Rei puts her tea cup aside, and takes out her journal again, flipping to an open section. Anyone who's looking will see her flip past illustrations of the two ghosts, the girl, and D'mara that Rei had made that morning.
"A dream repeating itself, or it sounds like it's changing from time to time, isn't uncommon. Oftentimes that's our minds trying to tell us something, or maybe you are dealing with something day to day so much you have multiple nightmares about it...But a shared dream is something different. It isn't impossible but... it sounds like your nightmares were vivid and exactly the same, which is too much of a coincidence. Please, if one of you could describe the nightmares."

Clay makes a face. "Yeah, that's what I was afraid of. Uh, somebody else had better tell it. I dunno if I even know all of the words for the stuff I saw."
He glances sideways at Sano. "Master Nob seemed to think the Knights were okay. I feel like if they were terrible people he wouldn't have put up with it." Clay may have an inflated opinion of Master Nob's ability to do something about it if the Knights were corrupt.
