Jubilant jubilife

Troy's mouth opens unbidden. He's just staring as the Pancham stops the most powerful blow Troy has seen Atlas use so far in its tracks without moving an inch. What on earth kind of training lets a Pokemon do that? Now that Troy thinks of training, he realizes why the Pancham looked so beaten up to start with. They must have done some incredibly intensive training for it to end up like that. Perhaps that's why it was able to weather such a powerful blow. Troy grits his teeth as the Pancham drives its fist into Atlas' tail.

He can tell that Atlas can't take that much damage anymore and reaches for his Pokeball, but he's too slow and Atlas falls unconscious from the pain. Troy recalls him immediately.

Troy balls up a fist and glares intensely at the ground, then calms quickly, feeling a little embarrassed for letting negative emotions show. His parents always said that he felt and expressed things more intensely than others, and so he had learnt how to hide what he was feeling, though he refrained from restraining positive emotions. Despite that skill, it had been obvious to anyone looking that Troy wasn't angry at Aydin, or even at losing. He had clearly been angry at himself. Troy looks at Aydin with a slight smile on his face. "I have to admit, I underestimated you. When I challenged you, I thought we could win this without too much effort, but you sure showed me." He pulls out some notes from a wallet, walks over to Aydin and holds them out. "This is yours. I learnt a lot from this fight, so thanks for that. If we battle again, we're coming at you with all we've got."

The smal pokemon dodged to the side avoiding as the Breloom attempted to draw its energy. The Pokémon was looking bad as the energy from inside was leeched once more.

The trainer looked at her Pokémon and said, "alright!, now one last time! Fury cutter!"

Taking advantage of the position, the Pokémon rushed into the breloom's busum and stabbed it directly in the chest with his claw.

The strike hit home on the seviper once more. The Pokémon clearly hurting its moves slightly more sluggish.

Axel's opponent winced seeing her Pokémon get hurt more but didn't faulted.

"alright we need to press now, if we don't it's our loss! Lick!" the trainer ordered.

With that the Pokémon surged forward one last time extending its younger and using it to heavily strike Sin Cara's head.

Aydin smiled clearly happy taking the cash from his opponent.

"don't underestimate us folks here in the trainer school. Dunno how they do the picking for the trainer liscenses but they aren't doing it based off of skill. I ain't even the best guy here. If you take that lesson to heart, and next time I'll throw my full force at you too." he said.

"Good job Breloom! Not bad for our first fight." Ethan walks over and praises Breloom.

When Regina comes over with the money, Ethan accepts the money and pockets it. "It was a close fight. Pebs was tough, but Breloom was just a tad bit stronger." He said with modesty.

With their battle over, Ethan takes out a small bottled water and gives it to Breloom. He then checks up on Breloom's health, using the Pokemon Health App he got a while ago. "It was a touch fight, but you overcome that Pokemon's defenses! Your offense and defense are good, we'll just need to keep improving them." Smiling when the app finish scanning Breloom's health, Ethan looks over at his Pokemon. "Oh, I've figure out a name for you. What do you think of Sh-Boom?"

"I believe Axel is also having his first fighter together with Sin Cara. If you're curious of how they did, I can treat your wounds a little later if you want. " Ethan look around towards where he remembers hearing a guitar was being played. "Looks like their fight is also over. Let's see how they did." Ethan says when he spots Axel in the distance with the Hawlucha.

As Xero came out Breloom's health status was displayed on the screen. From the look of the read out, Breloom had a large rib bruise on his lower right side. Aside from that the Breloom was exceptionally healthy.

After a moment of conversing with the Breloom, Xero nodded, He said, that's an awesome fighter name, he thinks he should have a second proper name. He was mentioning things like "Ippo "The Wind God" Makanauchi". Wanting his name to be, something like " Blank "Sh-boom" blank" or something like that? I'm not sure exactly what he means."

Troy nodded at Aydin and bid him farewell. He went to rejoin the others, who seemed to have finished their battles too. He spotted Ethan first. "Hey Ethan, how did it go?" Troy made sure not to sound dejected, even though he was feeling a little down after this loss. Would Ethan and Axel look down on him for losing his first battle since they were put together? Probably not, but that didn't make him feel any better about having to tell them that he lost.

Ethan nodded, a slight grin forming on his face. "Yes, We won together."

Ethan leans inward, his grin becoming a softer, warm smile. "Agreed. Win or lose, you'll learn to become a better trainer. So don't worry about it, you'll do better next time." He said, thinking back to the battles he had. In fact, he remembers his first lost at the hands of Jun, Eva, and Claudia. It also happen to be his first Pokemon battle.
