As they walked, Soleil kept her rifle at the ready. She probably should have stayed in the back but the idea of turning the corner with her rifle pointed and saying some kind of cool intimidating line was appealing. Given, she didn't know what she wanted to say but it would probably be awesome and come to her when she spotted the evil doer!
However, when she turned the corner and saw the figure confusion filled her. Her rifle was pointed at the girl, but it slowly lowered as she tried to figure out what to do. What should she do? This was the enemy that she had to stop to stay useful and be valuable and matter. But it looked just like Requiem.
A stray thought crossed her mind as she thought that they should have let her interrogate the old man since he had clearly been lying. Clearly she should have dropped down the shaft and confirmed Requiem was alive. Given...Requiem wasn't blue. Or semi-transparent. Or bloby.
Again, uncertainly filled the sniper as she tried to think.
"R-Requiem?" Soleil finally asked uncertainly. "Is that you?"

Reasonably certain that the current state of their enemy was not because of the Prescient Powder... and just as uncertain about anything else concerning her, Thoron was at something of a loss. Not looking away from their not-quite-dead adversary, he asks, "Omega, were the Technicians ever able to confirm Requiem's death? Or was it filed off as 'lost to the Under', and dismissed?"
As wary as an ethereal Requiem might make him, though, it wasn't as though they could attack without provocation. Furthermore, Soleil had been the most capable of dealing with her previously, and had just initiated contact, so it was worth waiting to see if this thing was still in possession of its mental faculties. Or so Thoron figured, as he stared back at the strange being before them.

Silas freezes when he sees Requiem. Even if she survived the fall with no injuries, he would have expected her to lay low for a while. At the same time, he also wouldn't have expected her to be blue or translucent, so there may be something larger at play. Against his instinctive reaction, Silas decides to let Soleil take the lead on this. After all, she and Requiem weren't trying to kill each other at their last meeting.
Silas still makes sure that a Pokeball and a Pester Ball are in easy reach. A fight could break out at any time.

Leslie turned the corner into something she never genuinely gave more than two seconds of thought to. Ethereal visions of women you've met in passing appearing at a crossroads in a forcefully deserted section of city is a rather specific ideation. Given a few weeks or months she would of likely reached said fantasy, but it's been only a few days, cut her some slack. Confirmation that her eyes, or better, not just her eyes were playing tricks on her was welcome.
"Ms Requiem?! Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii." The Technician far and away in the lead for Most Disheveled Service Member approaches leisurely, waving an arm in a wide arc over her head, her partner-mon continuing to mimic dispassionately. "How'r've you beeeen?"
Leslie gives a bona fide smile. Requiem and Angel ( :( ) were actually pretty okay and she liked them, it was the circumstances of their meeting that was the problem. Maybe this time it would be different.

The woman in front of you remains impassive, giving almost no outward acknowledgement that you even spoke. She merely keeps looking back and forth, gaze lingering longer on the Pokémon. "No," Omega says, from the bracer. "No body was recorded as found. However, it is important to note that it was deemed a low priority task, and thus after a brief initial search of the most probable zone, it was not pursued."Everyone take a Focus check. Soleil tilts her head confused, "Huh? But we are all here so we can play now." Soleil says. "Besides you ran away last time before we could play and left and abandoned me!" Soleil said annoyed. "You trapped me with the Gyarados. Also they aren't my slaves, just idiots."
She pauses for a moment, "And what exactly are you doing here that we arrived too soon? And why are you...bloby?"

Thoron displayed alarm more so than confusion. Of course, he gets better when Omega informs him that this was probably not Requiem come back from the dead to exact her vengeance upon those who wronged her. Although the implications of that were pretty variable, in themselves... at least if they made certain this time, she shouldn't come back again. Before he got too far ahead of himself, though, there was the matter of determining Requiem's... current mental state. ȹɏɔɉɋȆȹɕɒɋɏɒȆɎɇɊȆɔɕȆɒɛɉɑȆɝɏɚɎȆɎɋɘȆɌɏɘəɚȆɜɋɘɈɇɒȆɍɘɋɋɚɏɔɍȒȆȺɎɕɘɕɔȆɚɘɏɋəȆɚɎɏɔɑɏɔɍȔȔȔȆɝɋɒɒȒȆɒɕɛɊɋɘȒȆȢɏȤȢɌɕɔɚȆɉɕɒɕɘȣȈȞșȞșȞșȈȤȭɘɋɋɚɏɔɍəȒȆȸɋɗɛɏɋɓȇȆȯȆɇɓȆɛɔɉɋɘɚɇɏɔȆɝɎɋɚɎɋɘȆɟɕɛȆɘɋɓɋɓɈɋɘȆɛəȒȆɈɛɚȆɔɕȆɓɇɚɚɋɘȔȆȺɕȆɝɎɇɚȆȍɉɇɍɋȍȆɇɘɋȆɟɕɛȆɘɋɌɋɘɘɏɔɍȥȆȺɎɋȆȽɇɘɋɎɕɛəɋȥȢȕɌɕɔɚȤȢȕɏȤè While he didn't agree with everything his teammate was asking, most of it was quite relevant. He felt the need to amend one thing, though, " She trapped all of us, Soleil. But yes, perchance, could you reveal what sort of plan we are interfering in, Requiem?"

Silas is put further on edge by Requiem(?)'s psychic probe, but it was somewhat expected, so he doesn't react as badly as before. She probably just scanned the rest of the team as well. Soleil sounds like she's having half of a conversation with the ghostly woman, which is worrying but also their best source of information. He'd rather not have rocks dropped on the team again, so he gives them a simple reminder. "Remember, Requiem could influence your mind. It looks like she's only done a scan, but guard your thoughts."

Soleil sighs at Silas's comment. It seemed he STILL wanted to assume the worst about Requiem. Still, she decides to give him the benefit of the doubt and starts imagining floating shields in her head. That's what he meant right? For good measure she also thinks about a lot of guns! And fences!

Silas goofed. Silas done did goofed he did. Naughty thoughts still forefront in her mind, Leslie's headspace fills with thoughts and pictures ranging from puerile to pervy. And a few that were both, like a scene of the whole lot of them sitting down for cake and tea. While naked. Serves all those mind readers like Silas around here what for, peeping on her ideas. Wait, isn't Meowspunny a mind reader? Psychics are psychic... Leslie looks down at the Pokemon.
Meowspunny was already looking at her with eyes wide. It's purring. Leslie turns back to the requiem for Requiem.
"Uuhh, Ms Requiem? Looooo'? Soooo, what's going on?"

Once more the woman doesn't seem to respond, besides a slight narrowing of here eyes, although she looks harder at Silas. The stream floats in the air, gathering, before swiftly forming itself into a large creature - taller than any two of you put together - with a bulbous head, stout body, and several thick tentacles that slam into the ground. The woman herself begins to move backwards from the new goopy creature, further down the corridor.

"You can't tell me what to do." Soleil said childishly. "And I am not. You wanna bet?" She stated smugly lifting her rifle and quickly moving forward toward the woman. She went to pull the trigger, but noticed that the woman had just barely moved out of range of her rifle's laser burst. She growled under her breath. "Yeah, you aren't running off this time." She said as she quickly drew a pesterball from her bag and threw it at the crimson goopy creature while making her way toward the woman. Surely her teammates could take this blob if she stopped Requiem from running away a second time. Soleil will shift 7m forward and hurl a pesterball at the crimson blob hoping to just slow it down while making her way towards Requiem.
Acc roll for pesterball (sleep)=19 Damage from capture specialist toss is 14 damage. So 14 damage+Sleep

On some level, Silas is pleased to see a sign Requiem's anger. It means he's gotten under her skin, and that he has power over her, instead of being some insect to crush under her heel. The actual act of creating a goo monster is a whole different story. She's probably condensing massive amounts of Psychic energy into a Pokemon-like form. The process is probably flawed, as the products don't function like normal Pokemon, but the raw power required is a bit worrying. She didn't have the ability to do this before, and their first encounter was problematic enough. While Silas isn't anywhere close to Soleil's speed, he also moves into action. He jogs forward, then tosses his Pokemon forward. He's pleased to see that Soleil followed the same plan that he had. If they can hit Requiem with some sort of numbing agent, she'll be much easier to track down. After Silas gives his command, "Poison it, then chase her," the Parasect scuttles into action. It runs alongside the blop and scatters a noxious powder at the creature. Silas moves to F5, Releases Parasect at K6, which moves to Q6 and uses Poison Powder.

Not deigning to continue conversing with the egotistical enemy before him, as they'd clearly demonstrated both their (hostile) intent and their refusal to be reasoned with, Thoron instead braced for a fight. It was fortunate that the rest of his team was similarly disposed... while obviously Requiem's sludge-monster wouldn't pose a problem, any delay could mean that she escapes, and then they would have to go through this process yet again. " Lowe, get ready. And stay close.", he directed curtly, more focused on devising a plan for taking out their targets. For starters, helping Soleil avoid any retaliation was prudent, but if she felt inclined to ignore him... Perhaps Parasect would be somewhat more receptive? Lowe moves to J9 (if possible) and uses Charge. Thoron moves to F7 and binds Capricious Whirl to Soleil. IF Soleil refuses the effect, instead Apply to Parasect. IF Parasect refuses, instead Apply to Lowe. -2AP (Bind)

Time for another round of Chase the Psychic Girl. Leslie shuffles up and fires a round at the Blob while keeping her eyes on Spectrequiem. Meowspunny waddles forward as well, staaaaaaaaaaaring. "You knooow, it's really hard to be friends when you keep fighting meee!"Leslie: Shift Action moves to J5. Standard Action uses Cap Cannon: Net Cap on Blob. AC 5. Rolled 4. Sooooo fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuun.
Meowspunny: Starts square F5. Shift Actions moves to M5.

The Meowstic and Soleil almostseem to be having a competition to see who can get to the enemy first. The cat gets closer, but the human is able to actually engage first... even though the projectile seems to just be absorbed almost harmlessly into the giant blop's body. The thiing does seem a little unsteady now, though. Requiem continues to move backwards, looking at Soleil in particular as she does so. She almost seems to be angling for a small corridor leading off, just a short ways back. But, for now, she just seems to be watching. ƨǚǮǯǹƦǯǹƦǬǻǺǯDzǫƲƨƦǺǮǫƦǼǵǯǩǫƦǯǴƦǿǵǻǸƦǮǫǧǪƦǩǵǴǺǯǴǻǫǹƴƦƨǟǵǻƦǩǧǴǴǵǺƦǽǯǴƴƦLJǴǪƲƦǫǼǫǴƦǯǬƦǿǵǻƦǪǵƲƦǏƦǩǧǴƦdzǧDZǫƦdzǵǸǫƴƦǚǮǯǹƦǯǹƦǧƦǨǧǺǺDzǫƦǿǵǻƦǽǯDzDzƦǫǼǫǴǺǻǧDzDzǿƦDzǵǹǫƴƦLJǴǪƦǏƦǽǯDzDzƦǫǴǰǵǿƦǽǮǫǴƦǺǮǧǺƦǮǧǶǶǫǴǹƴƨÌ Leslie, meanwhile, just slightly misjudges the net's trajectory...maybe the cannon could use a few more dongles and doodads. Or, maybe, she should look at her target, rather than trying to emulate media and shoot blindly. Most of the others simply move forwards, with Lowe also gathering charge, and Parasect releasing spores. Thankfully for the mushroom, the spores seem to stick... though it remains to be seen if it will actually do anything. Meanwhile, the crimson blop just seems to be taking stock of its surroundings. What a plethora of targets. It seems to be focusing in on the closest one, though - Parasect. Soleil hits with a Pester Ball. The Blop is now Drowsy. Lowe uses Charge. Leslie misses with a Net Cap. The Blop uses Focus Energy. The Blop is getting Pumped. Parasect hits with Poison Powder. The Blop is now Poisoned.

"Blah blah blah, just like we couldn't kill your kitty friend." Soleil says as she continues her pursuit, shifting around the blob and next to the Parasect. "You can't make more with a hole in your head." She said with a grin. Soleil seemed to be enjoying this a bit much for somebody who seemed to have liked Requiem. "Speaking of which...smile!" She said as she barely got into range, aimed the rifle, and pulled the trigger. Soleil shifts to Q5 and uses Bullseye Acc: 6 Damage: 22 after Rev's -5 damage

Since he is too far away from the combatants to do any healing or fighting, Silas jogs forward a few paces so he can join the action. His slow running speed is turning out to be more of a problem than expected. Still, the battle is going well. If Soleil manages to find time to release her Pokemon, ending the fight shouldn't be too much of a challenge. Having successfully spread its spores to one area, the Parasect looks for a new target, Unfortunately, Requiem is fleeing the area again, so that task will prove a bit more difficult. He dashes forward, trying to get in range for an attack. Silas Sprint to L6, Parasect Sprint to Z6

While Thoron wasn't worried about them splitting their attention between both Requiem and her monster, it would be disadvantageous to become separated. What was stopping Requiem from luring away Soleil and unleashing a second creature? While she may have been... surprisingly tough, putting her in unnecessary danger would be problematic. And he knew dissuading her would be impossible. The best thing he could do, though, is help his allies avoid being... impaired by the strange creature. And perhaps find weaknesses, besides. Even if Requiem could make more, if she had to stop to make them... ˋ˥˸ˬ˩˶˭˲˫ʤˬ˭˷ʤ˸ˬ˳˹˫ˬ˸˷ʤ˳˲˧˩ʤ˱˳˶˩ʰʤ˘ˬ˳˶˳˲ʤ˥˸˸˩˱˴˸˷ʤ˥˲˳˸ˬ˩˶ʤ˩˼˧ˬ˥˲˫˩ʤ˻˭˸ˬʤ˖˩˵˹˭˩˱ʰʤ˸ˬ˭˲˯˭˲˫ʰʤ˻˭˸ˬʤ˥˷ʤ˱˹˧ˬʤ˧˳˲˨˩˷˧˩˲˷˭˳˲ʤ˥˷ʤˬ˩ʤ˧˳˹˰˨ʤ˱˹˷˸˩˶ʰʤˀ˭˂ˀ˪˳˲˸ʤ˧˳˰˳˶ˁʦʼʷʼʷʼʷʦ˂˖˩˵˹˭˩˱ʥʤˍ˪ʤ˽˳˹ʤ˸˶˹˰˽ʤ˭˲˸˩˲˨ʤ˸˳ʤ˻˭˸˲˩˷˷ʤ˳˹˶ʤ˪˥˰˰ʰʤ˭˲ʤ˸ˬ˩ʤ˲˥˱˩ʤ˳˪ʤʫ˥˱˹˷˩˱˩˲˸ʫʰʤ˸ˬ˩˲ʤ˻ˬ˽ʤ˸˶˽ʤ˸˳ʤ˶˹˲ʤ˥˻˥˽˃ʤ˅˨˱˭˸˸˩˨˰˽ʰʤ˰˥˷˸ʤ˸˭˱˩ʤ˽˳˹ʤ˻˩˶˩ʤ˪˳˶˧˩˨ʤ˸˳ʤ˶˩˷˳˶˸ʤ˸˳ʤ˴˩˸˸˽ʤ˸˶˭˧˯˷ʰʤ˷˳ʤˍʤ˧˥˲˲˳˸ʤ˻˩˰˰ʤ˪˥˹˰˸ʤ˽˳˹ʤ˪˳˶ʤ˩˷˧˥˴˭˲˫ʤ˦˩˪˳˶˩ʤ˻˩ʤ˧˥˲ʤ˩˲˨ʤ˽˳˹˶ʤ˫˥˱˩ʲʲʲˀʳ˪˳˲˸˂ˀʳ˭˂è Thoron shifts to J7 and binds Capricious Whirl to Parasect.
