...Question, logically, wouldn't a water type fruit-user be able to swim? Perhaps only being able to swim in their gijinka form? Devil users within One Piece have their bodies freeze up when a body of standing water reaches pass their knees. The ruling I have given for water devil berry users is 6 rounds in water before freezing up, as opposed to the 1 round others would have.

MMM... still makes the more aquatic-exclusive Mons more than a little gimped. I mean, if they're using they're overland speeds, a lot of them getting only a 2 or 3 at best. I mean, it's true for the game normally, but... I dunno, but rolling a Carvanha or a Horsea would really suck when, logically, they really shouldn't be that bad.
Your game, your rules, of course.

You have to think on the hybrid forms as well. Those are possibly the most useful of the forms, you see? Imagine I'm a goldeen-man. In my hybrid form I would still be humanoid, only with fish-like qualities and water related bonus (moves/resistances/whatever mechanics Warr decided.) The same if I was a Vulpix-man or a Pikachu-man.
Your full form, however, is that of the pokémon. But most users won't usually use those forms, unless in very specific moments. What advantages being a Vulpix gives you over being a Vulpi-man hybrid? You lose hand functionality, becomes unable to reach most places and use items. The only benefit is, perhaps, crawling through a tighter space? Same for goldeen form. It gives you resistance to sea effects for a while and a great swim speed, ideal for when you're forced to swim. You aren't losing anything mechanic while choosing a water pokémon. In fact, you gain a resistance that is considerable attractive in a campaign taking place in open seas, I think.

So, I kinda made something. Gina Concord, a bardic barmaid with magical gifts who just wants a change of pace and to play her guitar. Acting as the ship's face/medic. Medic is negotiable if another one gets on the ship, but the bard part is not. Inventory's not done; need to confirm whether or not I get First Aid Manual and Combat Medic's Primer for free from the Medic class, which is what it reads like from the class text.

You don't actually get them, you're just "considered to always have them" (and binding rank 1 effects). So you can still spend AP/Gen Edu researcher Bookworm points to get rank 2 effects, but you don't actually have the books to, say, lend out to others.

I'll go ahead and buy them, then, just so I have them.

Sorry for the double post, but Warr, is there any particular cost for Apricorns you'd like to establish? Also, is Jailbreaker available as a class?

See, that's the fluff, but the problem is, the crunch of Usurper doesn't work that way. You are either a Pokémon or a human, at least until you get Shared Strengths and can start blurring the line between them.

Lockon No but like in this there is a hybrid form. It isn't fully worked out but it uses stuff from human and Pokemon form. It's been talked about a bunch in the Skype chat

I finally finished Tethys! Well, in theory - it's entirely possible I may have messed something up, but I think I'm done, so... One super swimmer, ready for action! And/or lifeguard duty!

Homebrew rules exist for a reason. Sorry for the double post, but Warr, is there any particular cost for Apricorns you'd like to establish? Also, is Jailbreaker available as a class? Apricorns cost 100 P each. Jailbreaker is fine.

I'd like to add a character to that list: Dylan Drogue! He used to be quite a cruel man, but contact with a navy crew has changed him for the better. He'll serve as swordsman, and lifeguard if need be; although he could fill another position on the crew if one becomes available.

Well, this took a lot longer than I hoped it would. Also, for those that don't like a lot of text, I'm very sorry. Here's my character submission for this campaign: Proxy, a Provocative Rogue, that will also be your Captain! Please join her in her ambition to shatter the pride of humanity when she finds the 151 Piece! *insert evil laughter here*

Okay, I've done a bit of editing around on Proxy's mechanical side: Rogue has been completely dropped in favour of Hobbyist, which in turn opened up more breathing room for other edges to be fitted in. However, aside from the base Hobbyist feature, Proxy is a full-on Provocateur with many skills up her proverbial sleeve that will assist her in achieving her goal of finding the 151 Piece.
