When he catches sight of the Field Guide to Berries, Neel stops and ponders for a moment, before picking it up and flicking through it for a minute. He was surprised at the number of berries he hadn't seen before, as well as the information on possibly combining berries together, so he decided to pick up the book and the berries that came with it before heading on with his business. After finishing making the healing supplies near the south road, Neel waits for the others to show up so he can hand them out. Changed in previous post what I decided to not make since they were for me. Spent 1050 on an awesome book, as well as the two berries.

Snatching up the berry and herb before some other enterprising customer could, after some careful thought Harmon tossed a few more potent healing items into his basket and some bottled waters for the road. Once he'd checked out, he sought out Neel to make a trade, dangling the bag with the plants in it for the big man to take. "Thought these might suit your fancy better than something boring like credit, eh? I'm willing to trade them for your medicinal concoctions."Added a couple Super Potions, four Enriched Waters, and a Sparkling Lemonade to Harmon's total. He's down to 210 now. I'll look for a relevant Book or two next time we get an influx of cash.

Done with his work, Eric looked for Neel and Harmon, finding them both in the same place. "Hi! I've got your Pokeballs ready," he said. "So that's three basic ones for you Neel, in return for three Potions and what did you want exactly Harmon? I have a bunch of Great and basic Pokeballs ready."

"Ah, and the group is converging once again. Welcome back, young Eric! I'll gladly take two Great Balls and a Basic Ball for now." He pulled out a small notebook and pretended to jot something down, muttering under his breath, "Owe... Eric... a favor."

Mo took his time and went through the blades available bypassing the cheapest ones after inspecting the one to the crude machetes and finding his way over to the more expensive blades that were more like swords. Mo glance at the gold machete before quickly checking the price do the same for the silver wakizashi. He already knew which one he preferred and a look at his watch said that he had been at the blacksmith long enough.
With that in mind Mo picked up the wakizhi and paid the blacksmith with his compliment on the sword and left to make a quick stop at the general store.
After gathering a number of potions and water bottles, and a berry for his portable planter, Mo headed out to the South Road ready to head into the wild as he'll ever be. Seeing that the other three have arrived at their meeting point, Mo simply nods his head and fold his arms with his new sword strapped to his waist.

Eric had to smile a little at Harmon's curiosities. He hadn't expected the older man to pull out a notebook and note down that he owed Eric a favor. Eric quickly handed over the right amount of Great Balls and Basic Balls. "Here you go."

Precisely on the hour Magnar walks around the corner, drinking a bright purple drink from a glass bottle. "Good you're all here." He says, significantly more upbeat than earlier. "First question - who has food and drink for the journey?" He pauses and smirks when Eric is the onyl one to raise his hand. "Hm. One in four. A bit better than normal. Second question - Who has money left?"

"I did in fact pick up some extra water, but I was under the impression the Guild was meant to provide us with such basic supplies?" Harmon grumbled good-naturedly. Perhaps Tourmaline was more shrewd then he'd first assumed, given that they hadn't charged any membership or application fees; but maybe this was their angle. Nickle and dime the newbie guildmates for everything they really need. If so, pyramid schemes were a bit basic, but better than nothing - Harmon supposed he should keep his wits about him when dealing with them either way. "But if you don't intend to, I did hang on to a couple hundred spare credits. Never let yourself run on empty, I always say."

Eric looked somewhat embarrassed. "I spent everything," he admitted. Maybe buying so much material for the journey wasn't a good idea. Then again had I not given Harmon those Pokeballs for free, I might have had some more money. Oh well, it doesn't matter.

"I have a bit left." Neel says, from where he was still sitting.

Magnar chuckles at the the group's sheepishness. "The guild will handle most basic supplies, but this is something the guild likes to do as a test for initiates. Don't ask me what they're looking for, I don't get a say in anything important. The guild is in Calico, which is a day away, assuming you lot can follow the path." He says, grimacing as he rubs his burnt arm.
"So if you guys don't have any other questions, lets get going."

Neel quickly hands over the healing supplies and accepts the trades for them, sticking everything else back in his bag before standing up, and putting it on his back. "I'm ready to go, but just one question. What are the chances of us running into any wild mon on the path?"

Harmon, eager to get on the road so they could get to the real meat of the expedition, didn't pester the man with any further questions. At the mention of encountering aggressive wild Pokemon so soon, however, he made sure his own occupied Pokeball was secured and ready. The primal Cyndaquil he'd managed to revive from the strange fossil the Guild had shipped him might have been worth a lot to simply sell off, but Harmon considered it an investment. I would sell for much more if he managed to evolve it first, and it might prove immeasurably useful to have a 'native' Pokemon from the start.
Plus, though he wouldn't easily admit it, he was already starting to get attached to the little guy. Harmon wasn't immune to the glamour of having, as far as anyone knew, an entirely unique Pokemon unlike any other living one on the planet, either.

Eric sighs in relief when he hears that the guild would cover most basic supplies. He'd been worried that he had made a big mistake. "I'm ready to go," he says, echoing Neel. He shifts a little from one foot to another as he waits for the others to signal their readiness. Eventually he catches himself doing so and stops, relaxing a bit more.
Not being particularly worried about the possibility of wild Pokemon attacking, Eric zones out a little. He has the utmost faith in his own ability to catch anything that might want to harm him and in Zephyr's ability to fight off any attackers.

Mo blatantly look at Magnar's burnt arm then over at the other before giving a shrug. "Let's stick to the path then..." No hoist the strap of his bag over she shoulder and then prepares to enter the jungle right beside Magnar.

"Pretty high." Magnar says as he takes the lead. "The local pokemon regard the road as a curiosity more than anything, but they're learning that it leads to the cities and freshwater. Heck, some of them seem to regard us as opportunities rather than enemies."
Magnar is proved right roughly an hour later as you cross a small stone bridge. Your way is blocked by a trio of Machops, each armed with a small metal club and wearing a metal helmet. Magnar nods and glances at the river below.
"I think this can serve as another test of your abilities. Losing will make you look exceedingly bad." He says, his attention captured by somehting in the river. "Good luck." He says as he dives off of the bridge. A glance behind you reveals your escape has been cut off by a green Pawniard and another club wielding Machop.

Eric raises an eyebrow. "Well, it doesn't look like we can talk our way out of this one." He pulls the single Pokeball from his belt and points it at the air, before releasing his Pokemon. The Pidove that is revealed coos determinedly once it sees the surrounding enemies. "That's right Zephyr, it's time to fight," Eric says smiling as he readies an empty Pokeball that he got from his pack.

"Well, that's lovely. He just leaves us to fend for ourselves. Neel said pulling out the pokeball Magnar had tossed him earlier, and he had spent a small amount of time learning about her. "Come on out Bella, let's see what you can do." As he says this a small slakoth covered in small blackish purple flowers come out of the ball. "Anyone know what the differences between the Machop and Pawniard we know and these ones are? Aside from the fact it looks like the Machop have learned a thing or two from Timburr?"Initiatives: Neel: 9 Bella: 5

"That's a good question Neel," Eric, who was also quite curious, said. "At a first glance, green usually means Grass-type and the addition of metal weaponry might indicate a Steel-typing. I can't be sure if I'm correct without some further inspection though."Poke Ed to determine typing: iEZaiSg84d6 4d6
