Had Cecily waited a few moments, she would've heard a sharp whistle from the direction Tark ran off in; likely a signal that she found something. Na'tok had taken a breath to use another Powder Snow, but let it go after hearing the whistle, a few snowflakes escaping her mouth and drifting away. The bear cub began walking towards her trainer's whistle, waddling around the many felled Tauros.
Tarkuul had found the Trevanant - or, 'tree asshole', as she called it - in front of the Tauros pen. Waiting. Watching. Judging. She couldn't tell if it was actively hostile, if it was sent here by an owner, if it was trying to 'play'....Fuckin' ghosts. Tark whistled, as described above, then stepped out of the treeline, facing the Trevanant with her arms folded, looking cross by not actively hostile. Yet. Given its actions, she assumed it was intelligent and could understand her next statement in Common.
"Explain."
....HOW she expected a tree ghost to talk to her was a whole other issue. Probably some freaky ghost magic or some shit. Ghosts weren't her style.

The darkness still enveloped the Tauros in such a way that the capture didn't go as planned but the flames struck true, and the Tauros fell. Off in the distance down the road, it seemed the two militia guards that were on the road managed to deal with their own half a dozen, and if one were to look in that direction, they'd spot the Cyclops and the Machoke lifting a Tauros each off the ground and attempting to calm them whilst an Ursaring was wrestling one to the ground. It seemed like the danger was over. Meanwhile, the Trevenant looked blankly at Tarkuul's demand and instead, turned it's head to the barn nearby where a Rakshasa stepped out. He was smiling, albeit a little forced and wore a weathered looking sunhat. Following him close behind was Oakfell, the Warforged Ambassador. He held out an apricorn ball and the Trevenant dissipated into light before returning to him. "I believe I can explain better, but perhaps we should wait for the others."20 Pokemon XP. This may be shared with Pokemon not present in the fight.

Kry'tok's wings, this was just a freaking test.
Tarkuul sighed in a mixture of relief and annoyance, relaxing her stance as she waited for the others to show up. Na'tok waddled out of the underbrush, leaves and tiny twigs sticking to her, and she clung to Tark's leg happily, even if the weather was a bit warm. The orc chuckled at the little bear cub's state, scooped her up, and began picking off the natural debris. Na'tok hugged the comforting piece of ice around Tark's neck, cooling herself down as she was cleaned.
As for the situation....Her best guess was a test to make sure they could work together, with that Rakshasa being the owner of the Tauros. Vaidos may have to say goodbye to his little friend once everything's explained; Tark hadn't bothered with capture, though they were strong beasts, because if they came from a pen then they were someone else's livelihood. Simple. Sure, they had to faint them, but they could be easily revived and returned to safety.

The fireball briefly illuminates the two metal humanoids in the dark cloud, and a second later the bovine silhouette slumps over.
"Ah... shall we aid Ambassador Tarkuul?" Vaidos' voice rings out from the blackness. A moment later the two silhouettes start moving quickly over to where Tark took off to, the darkness gliding along with them.
That is, until Vaidos catches sight of the familiar Warforged ambassador. "Master Oakfell!" The encroaching darkness centered on Vaidos vanishes near instantly, exposing Vaidos and open-mouthed bewilderment. "It's, it is good to see you again, and I do wish to catch up with you, but we really must search for our assailants, and - and...," he trails off, noting the distinct lack of urgency from Tarkuul. "...Did they escape?"

Eli follows after Vaidos, scooping Blze up with one arm even as he finally manages to draw his blade with the other... only to sheathe it when he sees not only Tarkuul looking somewhat irate, but Ambassador Oakfell, and a Rakshasha... his eyes narrow slightly, before he nods, setting Blaze down into his hood and allowing the little mon to calm himself.
"Ambassador Oakfell, Master Daskedi I presume?" He gives a small bow of respect to the two. "I take it those Tauros belong to you?" he asks the farm owner.

Cecily looks between the two older beings with her mandibles set in the Libellan equivalent of the expression where you're being very patient on purpose rather than losing your temper - mostly because she's come to the same conclusion Tark has and is waiting for a better reason than 'we didn't think the first test was enough'. She whistles Draco down and returns him to his apricorn.
"Is there something we can do for you, Ambassador?" If this whole event was a set-up, now she's wondering if she has a back-up hanging around in the wings somewhere. The idea makes her itch between her wings, the same way she does when she feels like she's being watched. She folds her mandibles in slowly, the equivalent of a deliberately-overly-sweet smile - Cecily doesn't do subtle very well but as long as it doesn't have to be subtle she's okay with sarcasm. "I'm afraid between meeting Vaidos and the... stampede just now we got a little sidetracked."

Oakfell nodded and greeted everyone as they arrived but only when the last came close did he begin to explain, at Vaidos question he simply shook his head and the wood making up his faced seemed like a smile. "It's a pleasure to see you all again, as you may have guessed that was another test put into place by the ambassadors. Icarus passed, it is true, but as you know he cannot go further in the quest set out for you, as such, we required another test, one that could be seen by the Seers in Pinecliffe to ensure that your party could work well with Vaidos and vice versa." He stepped closer, and Daskedi stepped with him to continue the explanation; "Oakfell requested the use of some of my Tauros for such a test, coming early this morning and setting it up ready for you all, and it definitely seems you managed to take them down easy enough." He huffed and looked to Vaidos, "It's a good thing I have none of the flocked linked to my gems otherwise the plan might've been scarpered when you captured one of them."The explanation continued, answering any questions you might have and addressing the captured Tauros. "You can keep him, do not worry, I have plenty and Oakfell has paid me more than enough for this little favour that I can do without one of them, it'll be good to have one of my boys see the world.""Thank you Daskedi, Vaidos can you come forward?" Oakfell followed up. He asks to see a trinket of Vaidos’, a little item of sorts that he may hold onto for a personal reason, much like Tarkuul’s block of ice from her first Beartic kill, or Cecily’s amalgamation of reminders of her Pokemon. Upon seeing such a thing, he gives the same spiel that the other ambassadors gave the rest of the team just the night before, and a green light shines from his chest, up his arm and into the trinket, alongside a touch of Vaidos’ own power. “This should help you with your team from here on, giving your specific brand of abilities their edge whilst allowing your allies to fight alongside you, I hope you use it well.” He says, nodding at Vaidos, “If there are any other questions, please ask them now, otherwise, I will assure you there will be no more tests from me here on out.”Vaidos - Pick a little trinket of sorts you have with you, this now counts as your magical item. As an Extended Action you can link your mind with that of two Willing Targets, Pokemon or Person, and speak to them Telepathically. They also do not receive the -3 to AC when attacking into World of Darkness whilst they are linked. They cannot converse with each other, only yourself.

Tarkuul thought as the explanation was given - seems appropriate, now that she thought about it - and nodded as everything finished up. "Mr. Daskedi, do you know of any special kinds of Sitrus Berry trees that grow faster than normal? The Temple of the Green Mother needs some." She asked, looking at the Rakshasa; surely a farmer would know where some would be! Oakfell might know as well, but he also wasn't from the area...She thinks.

Eli huffs, rubbing at where one of the Tauros had nearly gored him. "I suppose telling us about this test would have tainted the results... but I'm glad there won't be any more from here on out..." He falls silent as Tarkuul asks the farmer her question, nodding along with her. Best to finish things that are local before going too far afield after all...

"Oh! Oh, splendid, on all accounts!" Vaidos exclaims, happy to have been useful and that the Tauros' owner doesn't mind losing one of the herd. "If it would not be too much to ask, would you happen to have a spare cart to go with him? It's really no trouble if you don't, I could always purchase one at the nearest settlement, and you've already been so kind. However the gesture would be ever so appreciated!
"I do have one burning question, however," Vaidos continues, regardless of Daskedi's answer. "Were either of you the ones to be following me out of Denerim? Once I realized, it gave me a bit of a fright!"

Oakfell makes a face that gives off the air of uncertainty, looking towards the apricorn that brought back the Trevenant. "...No, that was not myself, I do not know what was following you but..."He brings forth something else, not an apricorn like he used for his other Pokemon but an embroidered bag with a number of different arcane symbols around it. He opens the drawstring slowly and whispers a name. A Pokemon comes forth from it after a shine of white light from the pouch, a green bird with what seems to be leaves for wings and a flower where the tailfeathers should be. Oakfell tells it to take a quick look around the area and see if it can spot anything nearby that might be watching the party before turning back to the party. "Hopefully it is nothing, but we shall give it a moment."Meanwhile, Daskedi responds to Tarkuul's inquiry. As he steps closer, he seems to have similar bags along his waist as Oakfell brought out, alongside some typical seed pouches. "I know the berry, we call the plant a Sitriline, because of the similarity. They are typically around Seer Heights but some can be found in the forests behind Denirim, though the militia there and I have issues so I could not tell you exactly where, and they never bother to look."He gives Tarkuul a better description of the plant, that the leaves of the bush are splotted with dark blues, and offers that if she is able to find a good amount, he'd be willing to reward her for some himself, and ensure the rest get taken to the Temple of the Green Mother. He says that a cart could indeed be arranged for the Tauros but he'd require some payment for such a thing and asks Vaidos to make him an offer.

Cecily runs her fingers along the score in her own armor with her mandibles parted in a grimace, clearly wishing the 'test' hadn't been quite so painful. On the other hand, it got her a very good chance to see what Draco could do when he got fully revved up - he hasn't gotten to really stretch his wings in a big fight for a while, so she supposes it's not too much of a loss.
She looks grim when Oakfell makes it clear that he didn't have anything to do with whoever was shadowing Vaidos. She'd assumed it was part of the test, having thought that the Trevenant was responsible, but evidently not. She cocks her head curiously as she watches the birdlike Pokémon - she doesn't think she's ever run across that one before. "Guess we still need to keep a lookout, then. Does the journey always complicate itself this quickly?"

"Unfortunately I haven't much coinage, erm, would you be willing to trade? I only ask for a simple cart that can seat the four of us - a strong bull like one of yours should have no trouble pulling that." Vaidos takes a minute to dig around in his pack. "How about... some good rope? Very high quality, strongest you'll find I'm told, and of good length. Someone such as yourself would likely have good use for it! And I also have... some spare medical supplies - I am sure you would appreciate those at this point in time, yes?" Offering: Sturdy rope - 50 feet: $800 1 Revive: $300 1 Potion: $200
Charm roll for cart bartering: 15 18

Tarkuul sighed as Oakfell turned out to NOT be the culprit behind Vaidos's mysterious tagalong. Fantastic. As for the Rakshasa's description, it was far more helpful; she thanked him and promised to bring plenty of fruit back, as long as over half of the haul was sent to the temple. Healing others was a far more noble cause than lining one's own pocket with useless metals.
....Speaking of useless metals, at least Vaidos seemed to have the right idea. However, she doubted the farmer would accept the offer, given how much effort it took to build and maintain a cart, much less the utility lost from giving one away. A noble, if fruitless, effort.

Eli takes note of the location that the farmer spoke of, before cocking his head to the side. "Is there anything happening in Denerim that we need to know about? Either a new development or anything long-standing that may impact any attempts to get information and supplies while there? Granted your race has a somewhat unsavory reputation, but given that you've been their neighbor for years one would think they'd have made adjusted themselves to your presence and at least attempted to be civil..."
He also notes to himself to keep alert, apparently there's a good possibility that whoever was stalking Vaidos is still out there.

"Hmmm, it's not much at all, always useful stuff it's true but not stuff I'd have to go out of my way for..." Daskedi says, somewhat mock contemplating as he turns his attention back to Tarkuul, "If you can indeed find me some of those berries, then I'll let a cart go with you, and as for any recent goings on, there's nothing that I've heard recently, but the Militia might have something that they need help with, always seems to be the way." He makes a grimace, and rambles on for a few moments about it nothing to do with his race but that the militia seem to think they can do what they want, walk through his fields and disturb his Pokemon, his crops, he spits, think they can get with anything 'cause they got a badge.. In the meantime, the bird Pokemon returns and perches itself on Oakfell's shoulder. It shakes it's head and Oakfell turns to the party once more to say that whatever was following Vaidos, it doesn't seem to be around at the moment.

Eli looks somewhat perturbed by the picture the farmer is painting of the Milita. Hopefully it wasn't as bad as it was sounding... "Then I suppose our next goal is clear. Where may we find you once we've gathered the needed berries Master Daskedi?"

Vaidos awkwardly puts away his meager barter offerings. At least the offer is still there, assuming the group can find whatever these berries were.
Other than that Vaidos had nothing more to ask!

Cecily huffs quietly. "Nothing, hm? Just have to keep an eye out, I suppose." She's letting Eli and Vaidos handle Daskedi - she's admittedly a bit nervous about Rakshasa, if only because of the distant impression she's formed from third- and fourth-hand rumors about just how differently they think from her own people.
She glances in the direction of the Cyclops and Minotaur who had been handling the rest of the Tauros. The polite Cyclops, at least, she's sure they can work with. "Shall I go talk to them, then? Or should we collect everybody first?"

Tarkuul remained quiet and observant. She had no more business; the berry would be next on her list, and if Daskedi was correct, she should be able to find that down the road. Hopefully plenty of them to make both Daskedi and the elder pleased. At Cecily's question, she raised a brow. "...About what? I doubt if either of them noticed what Ambassador Oakfell's companion did not."
