"I thought he was suggesting we talk to the militia about whether anything was going on?" Cecily's attention had been more on Oakfell and the problem of Vaidos's unseen company than on the negotiations with Daskedi so she'd only more or less caught the end of his suggestion.

"I'll be around this set of barns tending to the Tauros, if not that, then those barns over there with the Mareep." said Daskedi, also claiming that if needed, he'll send out his Fearow to fly around the area he is to be spotted. At this, the Cyclops and his Machoke step closer. They drop the Tauros carefully to the ground with a begrudged thanks from Daskedi, which if the Cyclops noticed he did a good job of ignoring, returned with a salute and a smile at the party. "I 'ope they didn't give you any trouba." He says in a broken Common.

Eli thanks the two for their assistance as the party breaks away. Once they're on the move, he'll turn to regard Vaidos. "So, you've got a nifty trick there with that shroud of yours. But what can you do outside of combat? Tarkuul seems to be an adept tracker and is pretty knowledgeable, Cecily has a great amount of capability as a scout, and I'm..." he flushes slightly and scratches the back of his head. "Well really I'm mostly focused on combat, though I've done a little bit of hard negotiation to defuse tense situations in the past, and I've got pretty acute senses."

Cecily tries not to grin when the Cyclops greets them. The area seems pretty cosmopolitan but she knows her mandibles still upset people sometimes. "I think we handled it pretty well," she murmurs, a bit smugly. Though Draco at least is going to need some patching up, but it's not like she wasn't well aware that he mostly relied on evading hits.
More seriously, she adds, "Has there been anything unusual going on in the area lately? Apart from the..." She trails off, not sure how to describe the energy wave yesterday.
She keeps half an antenna on Eli and Vaidos' conversation this time. She's interested in their new companion's skills herself. She's vaguely hoping he's better with people than her.

"Thank you, but, well, I'm afraid I may not be much use in battle," Vaidos admits abashedly. "I am one of a generation designed to be less physically imposing than our predecessors. We're more like diplomats rather than fighters - our skills lie in our words. We hope to ease relations and improve our reputation with the other races. Many still see my kind as... 'less than people', shall we say? That's why it is such a great honor to be allowed to take part in this journey as an Ambassador."
"To get back to your question, however! Before this I was a pokemon caretaker, to maximize their effectiveness for their respective owners. I am still learning, of course, but I would be more than happy to tutor our companions along our journey. It is the least I could do to help."

Once Na'tok was debris-free, Tarkuul returned her little bear cub to her rune, choosing to let them all rest for the moment. She let Cecily chat up the cyclops, focusing more on Eli and Vaidos's conversation. "Good; we can use a good talker for the trickier situations. I know quite a few languages, but that's not really enough." She stated, making a note of the pokemon caretaker part for later. Her own pokemon were fine at the moment, but perhaps later she'd want them to learn a new trick or two. Karga would benefit from more advanced tracking training after she evolved, at the very least.
Tark glanced up at the sky to check the time. "Come on, we need to get going if we want to make any progress towards Denirim before nightfall. We can get to know each other more on the road and at camp."

"Nuffin but the energy wave tha' came through yesterday," the Cyclops says, but then it looks like something has dawned on him, "But the Hobgoblins been seen aroun' north of here now an' then, bit odd but nuffin' bad." He goes on to explain about a place called Kanobo, a small town carved from rock which essentially acts as a habitat for hobgoblins who, despite not being entirely lawful and good in the world, at least act neutral and treat the neighbouring cities and lands with a degree of peace, and breed a specific kind of Tepig they nickname Onis. "Some of 'em do a thing like your Warforged did." He points to Vaidos.

Cecily nods thoughtfully - though she decides there's no need to mention that Oakfell already mentioned the hobgoblins of Kanobo last night. One warning about potential opportunism, and one suggestion of unusual activity. That definitely sounds like something to keep a lookout for; she's starting to suspect that they might be responsible for Vaidos's feeling of being followed.
"All right, thank you for your time, then. Sorry you wound up involved in our little, ah, test." She parts her mandibles slightly in a smile and inclines her head before turning away to rejoin the rest of the group as they move off.

Eli focuses on Vaidos as he waves a grateful farewell to the Cyclops and Minotaur. "I have to agree with Tarkuul, sometimes words are the proper tool to use, rather than a blade. I'm certain you'll be a valuable member of the team."

After a while of walking and chatting which was relatively uneventful, you manage to rock up to Denerim Keep. The walls are high but once you get through the gate, the inside looks like its own little village. There is housing, where there are members of the militia coming and going. However, looking around you also note what this lovely place represents. There are people training fighting in the water, their Pokemon alongside swimming and grabbing. An Octillery fires off shots of water at an elf as they dodge and swerve before prodding it off the rock wth a stick. There seems to be an area with target dummies with a minotaur sitting a little distance away, eyes closed and conjuring small balls of fire that shoot off into the dummies directions. A little while down the street there seems to be a larger building which looks like a barracks. Outside of it stands a tall centaur adorned in armour. She glances into your direction and waves, beckoning you over before turning to an orc who is finely dressed. They seem to be having a discussion and the orcs expression is not happy. A Libellan nearby strikes down a Gillman in a battle of swords and shields, as the Libellan's Dwebble is thrown to the ground by the opposing Shinx. This does not look like a typical Shinx, but of one that seems to have been bred over many generations with a Lucario. The sparks and lightning around it a strange purple colour of arcane energy. Life seems to be going on as their day to day. Key Buildings of Denirim Keep:
The Chapel - There are many religions of the world, and the Chapel in Denirim Keep has records of all known ones, no matter how obscure or conflicting. There has been some heated discussion here but it's curator, a Tiefling named Lazuril, makes sure that nobody causes an outright fight. It's rumoured that he has a copy of 'The Majestic Book Of The Prime Ascended'.
The Abbey of the Centered Mind - Near the centre of Denirim Keep there is a small building and garden which has been put in place primarily for enhancing those with Elemental Connections and assisting them. It's said they have ways to unlock new abilities and spells if people have the right focus.
The Statue of Angradd - There are few clans of Dwarves in the world and they are rarely seen, but still more common that humans. Angradd is one statue of an old Dwarf warrior and is joined by his Sandslash. He has become a figure for those going into battle and people pray to him for good luck at times, out of respect more than belief. However, around the statue people has discussed seeing some strange Pokemon appearing, and disappearing without getting a good look. It seems to happen more often the more people pray.
Amberbrand Labyrinth - Under the Keep is a labyrinth of caverns and gemstones that was initially carved as part of typical mining, however the creation now serves as a training area for new militia and the wild Pokemon that pop up from there now and then are useful for surprise teaching.

Cecily's managed to wander her way to the front of the party as they walk - she hasn't offered much to the discussion other than to agree that Vaidos' diplomatic and Pokémon-raising skills could be quite useful indeed. She watches all the various beings and Pokémon training around them as they enter the keep. She supposes this whole area, with its eclectic, cosmopolitan population, is really what they're aiming to achieve with the whole grand tour business. She wouldn't mind stopping for a while to test her skills against the militia members, and maybe even pick up some training tips, but they do have business to attend to. The road ahead will surely provide enough action on its own. She turns her head to look back at the others and gestures toward the centaur that beckoned to them and her orc companion. Clearly they need to go make introductions, at the very least. "That way, I suppose. Then we can get on with asking around and finding supplies." Not that Cecily exactly has a lot of spare funds - most of the money she had went toward outfitting herself before she left home. Gen Ed (What's 'The Majestic Book of Prime Ascended'?): 6

A place of battle and training...Now, this certainly felt familiar. Greener than the training fields and barracks back home, to be sure, and far more varied in population, but training is training regardless. She flipped her hood down, both to get a better look at the Keep and to be easier to identify, especially if they had been given details about the arriving delegation. Which it seems they had, as a centaur motioned them over. Tarkuul(and, presumably, the rest of the group) moved over to the pair, nodding to both as she(they) approached. "Well met." She greeted simply, taking note of the fancy orc's expression. Perhaps after being properly introduced, she could ask in their native tongue what the trouble was, but now would be too soon. Eli trots along behind the two women, noting his surroundings as he goes. He'd heard snips and snatches about this place, and he had to admit, this "Abbey of the Centered Mind" intrigued him. At the very least he'd need to slip away and see if they had any advice for him. The minotaur practicing some form of pyromancy seemed to be a good indicator that they did. The sparring caught his eye as well, especially the strange-looking... feline? pokemon. He'd never seen anything like it. Something to look into later though; right now they were being beckoned it seemed. And by such a lovely face to boot... Subconsciously he straitened, squaring his shoulders as he walked up. "Good afternoon lady, sir. Is there aught we can do to be of assistance?" Occult roll for 'The Majestic Book Of The Prime Ascended'.: 9

The conversation between the orc and the centaur continues as you draw nearer, where he is obviously looking annoyed, she is attempting to keep a calm and reassuring face. They make no effort to quiet their words. "With recent developments, I cannot send militia around the world right now, I need some time to discuss things with the other leaders, and we need to investigate that wave of energy from yesterday." The centaur says, resolutely. The orc shoulders his axe. "It's not around the world though, is it? It's bleeding north of here. I just need some people to watch the villages near Kanobo..""I understand, but you will have to give me some time."They fall quiet as you do get close enough and she turns to smile at the party. The orc doesn't look at any of you with, well, any emotion, he seems completely apathetic when looking you up and down. That said, he returns Tarkuul's 'Well Met', standing straight and thumping his heart with a fist. He doesn't move, like he is treating you as a momentary distraction before returning to his main issue. The centaur exchanges hellos before looking at Vaidos. "Ah yes, the Warforged that was stationed nearby, Tuerin mentioned you to me in passing, I see you've found the rest of them, at least I hope that is the case." She grinned at Eli's opening statement, which also made the Orc perk up. "So quick to offer a hand, why, I don't even know your name, nor you mine I should think, I'm afraid that everything here is alright, for the moment. Training has been going on as normal, and the rest isn't too bad!""For you, at least." The orc grunted, "I could do with some help if you don't need it.""Ah yes, perhaps we should at least get introductions out of the way, find out why they are here, and then you can deliver your spiel." She said, looking exhaustedly at him. They go on to introduce themselves as Barawynn, one of the triumphrate of the Militia, and Ulk'raf of the Crooked Moon clan. ȟȵȻǦȸȫȩȧȲȲǦȚȻȫȸȯȴǦȬȸȵȳǦȺȮȫǦȲȧȹȺǦȩȵȻȶȲȫǦȵȬǦȪȧȿȹǴǦȇǦȔȧȭȧǦȽȮȵǦȸȻȴȹǦȺȮȫǦȇȳȨȫȸȨȸȧȴȪǦȒȧȨȿȸȯȴȺȮǦȽȮȵǦȮȧȪǦȧǦȎȵȻȴȪȵȵȳǦȽȯȺȮǦȹȺȸȧȴȭȫǦȭȫȳȹȺȵȴȫȹǦȭȸȧȬȺȫȪǦȯȴȺȵǦȯȺȹǦȨȵȪȿǴǦȎȫǭȪǦȵȬȬǦȮȧȴȪȫȪȲȿǦȳȫȴȺȯȵȴȫȪǦȺȮȧȺǦȮȫǦȩȵȻȲȪǦǭȫȴȮȧȴȩȫǭǦȧǦȖȵȱȫȳȵȴǦȯȬǦȯȺǦȽȧȹǦȫȼȫȸǦȴȫȫȪȫȪǴØ ǣȁȊƼǡȀƼȋȊƼȐǩǞȋȐǬǝƼljƼǵȋȑǃȒȁƼȄȁǽȎȀƼȋȂƼȐȄȅȏƼǾȋȋȇƼȉǽȅȊȈȕƼȅȊƼȎȁȈȅȃȅȋȑȏƼȏȁǿȐȋȎȏLjƼǽȊȀƼȇȊȋȓƼȐȄǽȐƼǽƼȊȑȉǾȁȎƼȋȂƼȊȁȂǽȎȅȋȑȏƼȃȎȋȑȌȏƼǽȎȁƼǽȂȐȁȎƼȅȐNJƼǰȅȁȈȂȅȊȃȏƼȋȂƼǤȋȑȏȁƼǣȎȁȁȀƼȅȊƼȌǽȎȐȅǿȑȈǽȎƼȏȁȁȉƼȐȋƼȄǽȒȁƼǽȊƼȅȊȐȁȎȁȏȐNJØ DžǙǙǫǢǪƖƻǚƖǥǤƖǪǃƸǥǪdžƷƖƣƖǏǥǫƖǞǗǬǛƖǞǛǗǨǚƖǨǫǣǥǫǨƖǥǜƖǪǞǛƖǘǥǥǡƢƖǟǪƖǩǛǛǣǩƖǪǥƖǙǥǤǪǗǟǤƖǡǤǥǭǢǛǚǝǛƖǥǤƖǪǞǛƖǦǥǭǛǨƖǥǜƖƷǤǙǟǛǤǪƖdžǥǡǛǣǥǤƖǗǤǚƖƽǥǚǩƢƖǗǤǚƖǞǥǭƖǪǥƖǪǗǡǛƖǪǞǛǟǨƖǦǥǭǛǨƤØ ˛˹̂˹̆˵̀ʴ˙˸ʴ̃̂ʴ̈ˡ˖̃̈ˤ˕ʴˁʴ˭̃̉ʴ˼˵̊˹ʴ˼˹˵̆˸ʴ̃˺ʴ̈˼˽̇ʴ˶̃̃˿ʴ˽̂ʴ̍̃̉̆ʴ̈̆˵̊˹̀̇ˀʴ̍̃̉ʴ˿̂̃̋ʴ˽̈ʴ˽̇ʴ˵ʴ̊˹̆̍ʴ̊˵̀̉˵˶̀˹ʴ̄˽˹˷˹ʴ̃˺ʴ̋̃̆˿ʴ̈˼˵̈ʴ˸˵̈˹̇ʴ˶˵˷˿ʴ˸˹˷˵˸˹̇ʴ˵̂˸ʴ̈˼˵̈ʴ˵ʴ˻̃̃˸ʴ̂̉́˶˹̆ʴ̃˺ʴ̄˹̃̄̀˹ʴ̋˵̂̈ʴ˽̈˂ʴ˨˼˽̇ʴ˽̂˷̀̉˸˹̇ʴ˨̉̀ʻ̆̃˿˵ˀʴ˵ʴ̇˼˵́˵̂ʴ̃˺ʴ̍̃̉̆ʴ˷̀˵̂ˀʴ̋˼̃ʴ́˹̂̈˽̃̂˹˸ʴ˽̈ʴ˼̃̀˸̇ʴ̇˹˷̆˹̈̇ʴ˵˶̃̉̈ʴ̍̃̉̆ʴ̃̋̂ʴ˻̃˸̇˂ː˶̆˒ˣ˷˷̉̀̈ʴ˙˸ʴˁʴˢ̃̈ʴ̃̂̀̍ʴ̈˼˵̈ˀʴ˨̉̀ʻ̆̃˿˵ʴ́˹̂̈˽̃̂˹˸ʴ̈˼˵̈ʴ̈˼˹ʴ˶̃̃˿ʴ˼˵̇ʴ˶˹˹̂ʴ̆̉́̃̉̆˹˸ʴ̈̃ʴ̇˼̃̋ʴ˼̃̋ʴ̈̃ʴ˵˶̇̃̆˶ʴ̈˼˹ʴ̄̃̋˹̆ʴ̃˺ʴ˕̂˷˽˹̂̈ʴˤ̃˿˹́̃̂ʴ˺̃̆ʴ̍̃̉̆̇˹̀˺˂ː˶̆˒è

"Tarkuul Frostblade of the Jagged Fang Clan, Orcish Representative." Tarkuul introduced herself, translating Gran'kosh into Common as Ulk'raf had done. Granted, clans didn't mean as much in Gro'dash, but it's good to know one's heritage. "We came this way on our way to the Warforged lands; the wave of energy from yesterday came from there, and Ambassador Oakfell of the Warforged requested we investigate. We've stopped by to gather information about the road ahead and rest, though I'm sure the others won't mind aiding Elder Ulk'raf on our way north." She explained simply, glancing to the others at the last part just in case.
...Before they left, though, Tark should check in at least with the Chapel. If they really did have The Majestic Book Of The Prime Ascended, it could be interesting to see what information they had on Ro'katash, Kry'tok, and the others...Especially if the rumors were true about what else it could show people. Then perhaps the Abbey, though she was unsure how many elementalists of her affiliation they'd encountered before.

"Dragoon Cecily Renata, Libellan Representative." Cecily crosses her spear over her chest and whirs her wings briefly - the same salute she used yesterday, when they were given their mission in back Pinecliff. "We'd be happy to assist if we can."
Privately she's a little worried they may be taking on too many side obligations, but if the help Ulk'raf needs is connected to what they overheard coming up, it's probably not very much out of their way. After all, Kanobo is close enough to their route to Lotus City that they've been warned about the hobgoblins more than once already.

"Vaidos of the Warforged, of course," giving a truncated bow, since everyone else saw fit for formal introductions. "What help would you request, if you need the militia's aid? Have the hobgoblins grown bold after yesterday's... event?"

Eli flushes slightly. "Of course, how rude of me. Eli Drakenforge, representative of the Chimeric Confederacy. And I suppose I spoke a bit hastily; it was rude of me to offer our group's services for anything without consulting my companions. However, as the others do seem willing to help, please could you tell us what's the matter? Perhaps you could help us with another more local matter in exchange." Eli recalls the farmer's words about the location of the "Sitriline" plant.

The orc spits at the mention of Hobgoblins and it becomes clear that they are indeed the thing present in his mind. After the introductions are done, he wastes no time in getting across his problem. He claims that many years ago their villages were under attack from the local Hobgoblins before the Warforged began making a bigger presence. The Warforged had sent some guards to the villages to help protect them from the Hobgoblin's whilst diplomacy continued to uphold a peacekeeping, but this didn't always stop them. Groups of them would occasionally try to storm a village only to get struck down by the Warforged. Recently, there's been a Hobgoblin coming around the villages, riding on the back of a small hill giant, named Halbreg and Luk'rug. They seem just casual traders and are happy to sell goods and 'rare items' though Ulk'raf seems to believe that they are cheap materials shined up a bit. When Halbreg was driven out of towns, he claimed that he'd be back and they'd be sorry. They weren't too worried, but then the wave yesterday has caused them to become slightly concerned for their safety.
"I cannot easily send people so quickly, unfortunately. I can have people go up in a couple of weeks but..." Barawynn said, trailing off., before turning to Eli "You claim you need some help yourselves? Perhaps we can make a deal then, if we assist in what you need, provided it is nearby, then you could help fend off this Halbreg character until we can arrive?"

Eli frowns slightly. "I'm not sure we'd be able to stay for such a long time, we are on a quest ourselves after all. Which does include investigating the Warforged issue. And the compensation wouldn't exactly be proportionate, we're simply looking for samples of the Sitriline tree to send to the Temple of the Green Mother." Eli pauses, looking at the rest of the group. "What do you all think?"
