Enclosed you'll find a ticket to the SS Pani along with a schedule for when it will be stopping over in your region.This ticket will take you all the way to Gildarie. The letter arrived just the other day, you have been accepted into the new Gildarie league. You pack your things and get ready to head off to the new region. The boat itself is from the Aqua line, built for speed though you have the basic amenities on board, a bed and bath to yourself however you're forced to share a lounge with 2 other participants. The trip itself after you get on board is mostly uneventful, food is delivered to your rooms every day, the schedule says you should be arriving soon in Gildarie.

Sarah sat back in her hammock as the room swayed slowly from the waves. She wasn't feeling at all seasick, thankfully she'd gotten used to being on big boats after riding ferries between the islands. She had her notes open on her lap studying. They'd be arriving soon, so she wanted to be prepared. After spending time with Senta and Cissy, she had learned that the best thing to do to prepare herself for anything is to take notes. Knowing where Senta's traps ere wall over the island and Gym leader tips from Cissy proved to be plentiful so keeping a notebook was normal for her. Over the past couple days she'd been on this boat with Tamira Wilkins, and Charlie Farivew, and rival trainers. It was important for her to be ready to know what they had to offer, so she'd been paying attention to everything about them. Charlie was a brainy type, not horribly used to riding on boat. He'd been taking pills for seasickness from his own First aid kit. She noticed he also had a Chemistry kit in his bag when he opened it up back when he and Tamira got on the boat. Not to mention he'd stated his love of fossils back when he'd gotten on the boat. From that information her notes had read for Charlie Charlie Fairview -First aid kit with multiple medications, some level of Medical knowledge -Chemistry set in his bag, some knowledge of chemistry -Get's sea sick -Knowledgeable on fossils -Not quiet, I was able to hear him come into the room without looking down from his hammock Her other cabin mate was Tamira Wilkins. She'd been harder to approach. There was an aura of anger when she had come in, the kind of thing that made a room go quiet. She hadn't been able to gleam as much about her skills. She frowned at the much less information she was able to gleam from her. Tamira Wilkins -Loud, in your face presence -Scary attention grabbing presence. She sighed looking at the notes. She took the notebook and shut it, putting it into her bag. Sarah stuck her head over the edge of the hammock wondering if the others were awake yet, after all they were arriving today. " Rise and you two we're going today's the day!" She said smiling. She'd slept in the clothing she'd be wearing today. A brown vest with a light blue shirt underneath it. She wore athletic bike shorts as her bottoms. one paying attention at the right angle would notice that she had a one piece black swimsuit with a yellow racing stripe underneath it. Going to spend 2 AP to use base chronicle feature on the other two, and then Archive them. |

Charlie had spent a majority of the trip in his room, trying his best to avoid spattering the furnishings with his barely-kept-down lunches. Apparently there was a world of difference between the motions of a large pokemon on the water, or a small ferry boat, and the massive lumbering cruise liner. It was much more insidious, barely noticeable but still there at the edge of his perception, causing his inner ear no end of grief.
He'd tried self-medication, but even then the effects were only short-lived, especially if he wanted to keep from using up his supplies of chemicals that he used for Pester Balls and Repels. The few times he'd been mostly alright he'd tried to distract himself by chattering at the two ladies, mainly wondering aloud what kinds of fossils there might be in Gildarie and generally just trying to distract himself from the slow... churning... motion... URP
When he hears Sarah shouting about today finally being the day, he clamps down on his rebelling stomach, and begins to pack everything up. "Oh thank the Gods... I am never traveling on the open ocean like this again!"

Sarah smiled at him rubbing his back, "Come now Charlie, you'll gain tolerance to Sea sickness if you don't get back on a boat."
She sat up, and reached her hand up onto her Hammock grabbing her bag, and slung it over her shoulder happily.
She held her hand out seeing his green face, "How about I pack the rest of that up for you, and you don't blow chunks and you try not to blow chunks on the floor?"

Tamira woke up to Sarah telling her what a great day it was going to be today. Over the past few days Tamira had gotten to know Sarah pretty well over the past few days, what with being forced into close proximity with her, and also Charlie. Both of them had very bright personalities, with Sarah being the more bubbly of the two. Poor Charlie though. She had spent a little less time talking to him, not because they weren't getting along, but because he was not getting along with the sea.
Tamira responded to Sarah's wake-up call by shouting back, "Alright, give me a second to get ready!" As she started getting dressed and packing up her things, she started thinking about the adventure that she was about to embark on. She was ready to start her journey to besting Erika, and would use this league as a stepping stone.
Once she was ready, she flung the door to her room open and stepped out with her belongings. She saw Sarah offer to help out Charlie, and said, "I can help you out too if you need it."

Charlie blushes and stutters, not really knowing how to react to two attractive older women (well, Sarah was closer to his age, but still cute...) offering to help him out, and one rubbing his back and making the sea-sickness fade no less! He manages a faint nod and a stuttered "T-th-thanks, that'd be really appreciated!"

Sarah nodded, helping him to take a seat, and getting to work packing his stuff.
"So guys, Any plans for what you guys want to do once we get there?" Sarah asked absent mindedly.
She was placing his stuff into his bag as she said this clearly slowing down the minute she started talking, more interested in their answers.

"I was planning on getting my starter too, like Charlie said, and then see if there are any good places around to catch some grass Pokemon. Other than that, I was planning on winging it. How about you, Sarah, what do you want to do?" Tamira asked.

Sarah, pulled her notbook out of her pack noting Tamira's interest in Grass pokemon, "After getting my starter, I want to go for the first gym. My dream is to challenge every gym in every region."
She closed it after making the note, "I'll probably lose the first attempt, but that's fine. It's important to fail."
With that she put into her bag, not finishing packing up Charlies bag, but not really realizing she'd stopped either.

Suddenly the 3 of your are thrown back as the boat suddenly stops. Over the Intercom you hear someone begin to speak
"Hello? Hello? Testing..." a slightly meek voice says followed by the sounds of shoving
" This is Team Anarchy Welcoming you to the Gildarie region!" A much more boisterous voice follows, followed by a large crash a murmur of "For crying out loud" from a third voice
"We have commandeered this vessel. Team Anarchy is here to send a message. First to all of you that your are not welcome in this region and Second We're sending a message to the league. Among you is a representative of this sham of an organization. My two companions will be around shortly to collect him. Be warned we have pokemon and we're not afraid to use them" he said followed by the sound of foot steps away from the
You here some slight murmuring after that, than the intercom is turned off Perception 6
"Alright you two go search the passenger quarters. We know he's somewhere on the ship. Be thorough search every cabin. Hopefully they won't know it's just the 3 of us" The Leader said "Right!" The boisterous one said "Right..." The meek one said "Good now...oh crap I forgot to turn this off"
A few seconds later you hear the sound of rushing footsteps your door flies open and a a disheveled looking man rushes in slamming the door behind him. "Oh my how did they know I was here, no one was supposed to know I was bringing the gear this way,Oh first I lost the profile pictures and now this!" he said mostly to himself before noticing the three of you. "Oh...uh Hello! Excuse me but you wouldn't happen to be trainers would you?" he asked with a slightly hopeful tone to his voice.

Sarah looked up at the intercom for a moment and said somewhat dryly, "You know, they'd probably be cohesive if they had structure. Like Cissy always said, "Consistency is what leads to victory.", At least it's just three of them."
With that she looked at the man who came through the door, "Yes, we are! You're the representative they were talking about right? Don't worry we'll protect you.... Well as best we can without pokemon!.
She gave him a reassuring smile thinking of a way out of this situation already, opening up her bag, coming up with a plan on how to deal with them.

"Oh that's great!" he said excitedly hearing Sarah say they were trainers but that excitement faded a bit when he heard they didn't have pokemon "Wait...how are you trainers without pokemon? Oh this isn't good" he said looking nervous before smiling "Oh wait! I have pokemon" he said pulling a case out of his coat pocket opening it.Inside were 6 pokeballs all labeled with different names 'Mudkip,Treecko,Torchic,Shuppet,Meditite, and Slowpoke'.
"Here you can each take one of these. I'm sure the League will forgive me in this situation" he said looking at the 3 of them

Charlie, upon hearing the threats issued by these so-called "anarchists", dives for his half-open pack, coming up with a small plastic pouch full of ampules, each one loaded with a viscous yellow liquid. He tenses as the man bursts in, before relaxing slightly, shaking his head at the man's question. "No sir, we're not trainers. At least not yet. We were supposed to get our starters when we got to the port. I'm Charlie, this is Sarah and Tamira," he indicates the two ladies.
Upon seeing the man offering them pokemon, Charlie immediately looks them over, before zeroing in on the Slowpoke. "Mine!" he practically cackles as he grabs it. "Mineminemineminemine..." he's rubbing the pokeball against his cheek in a somewhat worrisome manner. "No Zubat or Geodude is ever gonna get to me again with you on my side!" he laughs.

Seeing Charlie make a dive for the slowpoke she looked at the other choices. She had spent a lot of time around water types so to her the only clear choice was the other water type pokemon, grabbing the Mudkip.
She said to the man, "I'll probally take the mudkip, There anything you can tell me I should know about mudkips mr...?"
She trailed off at the end realizing she didn't know the man's name.

Professor Seedling had a bit of confused look when the boy said they were not Trainers than quickly grabbed up his Slowpoke and the girl grabbed his Mudkip, but as soon as the names processed he smiled "Oh you're the participants! Well isn't this lucky, now I won't have to explain to Bast why I gave away the starters" he said rubbing the back of his neck, when the girl asked his name.
"Oh I'm sorry that is really rude not introducing myself, I'm Prof.Seedling. It's nice to meet the three of you, Thank you for applying to our league. With your help Gildarie will be able to..." he started to say like the speech was rehearsed than remembered the situation, shaking his head "But that's not the time for that. Those Team Anarchy ruffians have taken over the boat. Who knows how many of them there are" he said nervously, but remembered his company
"Oh but first you had questions about your Mudkip yes?" he said trying to act normal not wanting to scare the young trainers

"Three!" She answered his question, "There's three Team Anarchy members."
"but yeah! We're about to go into a battle, and I need to know what little..... Zuzu can do if we want to battle to the best of our ability" she asked, "So anything special about mudkips would be much obliged!"
She let Zuzu out of his pokeball, and started digging in her pack making note of what she'd brought with her.

"Oh special to Mudkip? Well Mudkip is a Wetlands pokemon, Which means it can move easier through Swamps and Marshes. It's also Amphibious able to function well both above and under water, to help with this, it has a pair of Gills. Also like most Water Pokemon it has the ability to produce it's own water. Sort of like a Fountain"
"This Mudkip knows it's standard moves Growl, Tackle,Mud-Slap and Water Gun, however special to this Mudkip it also knows Mud Bomb thanks to it's parentage" he said smiling looking at the creature.
"Also some researchers believe Mudkips head fin can be used as a radar and that Mudkip is strong enough to bust boulders. However these mostly come from pokedex entries that vary region to region" he said scratching his head not sure of the validity of the claims.
"Is that helpful?" he asked looking at Sarah

Well this isn't good, Tamira thought to herself as the man came busting through the door. She did not need the man to introduce himself for her to know that he was the one they were after. As he started talking to the others, she got up and went to the door, opened it slightly, and peeked her head out a bit to see if anyone stirred due to the loud slamming of the door. She didn't see anyone, neither a passenger nor a hijacker, so she proceeded to close the door slowly and head back inside.
As he pulled the Pokeballs out of the bag, one immediately caught her eye: Treecko. She reached for it and said, "I'll take this one. Any information on what this guy can do?" she said, showing him the name on the Pokeball.

"Oh that's Treecko a grasslands and forest pokemon. Suited for moving through plains and trees. A specialty of that pokemon is it's ability to climb most surfaces" he said smiling.
"This Treecko has it's standard moves of Pound, Leer, Absorb and Quick Attack. Also special to this Treecko, it has Leech Seed thanks to it's parentage" he said looking at the creature.
"It's able to climb walls because of tiny hooks on it's feet" he said a bit more sure about this fact.
"It's a pretty strong Grass Type" he said looking at Tamira.
