Hello PbP people. My name is Weirdsound, and I've been playing Pokemon Tabletop for some time now. I think I started with PTA back in 2010 or 2011. Despite this, many people here may not have heard of me, As I do most of my Pokemon gaming with the Bay12 Games (Dwarf Fortress) community.
I GM far more often than I join games as players, as I am deeply intrested in worldbuilding and generally prefer to roleplay multiple characters as opposed to just one. That said, the mechanics of the game is not one of my strengths, and so I usually prefer to run with a Co-GM, most frequently KujiUn, a real life friend and current member of the PTU Development team. The games I run are often rife with political intrigue, and often feature multiple factions that attempt to appeal to the players and challenge party unity.
That said, I already have a game going, so look for me to be joining games rather than running them here in the near future. As a player, I don't have too many strong preferences; I'd be just as happy playing an 11 year old out on his/her first Pokemon Adventure as I would be controlling a hardened warrior in a high concept fantasy or science fiction setting.
I don't get the opportunity often, but I do love to give back where I can. I am a graduate student studying literature who has been running Pokemon games for years, so I do figure that I am fairly well qualified to give advice on building characters, worlds, and story arcs as needed. Feel free to ask me anything PTU or GMing related if I've been active on this site recently; If I'm not in or looking for a game I don't expect to be checking in here that often.
