Sibyl smiles and returns the wave, replying, "You too!" Good to see another friendly face... she thinks to herself. There have been a few prickly personalities trainer-wise so far, her face furrowing a little at the memory. She throws out her Pokeball, sending Miri out to take the field.

"Another ghost? Man! I thought they were super rare!" Ali seems rather excited by Miri's presence, and tosses out a rather young Munchlax, who looks a bit tired from its previous fight but nonetheless faces off against the agile Misdreavus. "Well, you beat one ghost already today, Toby! Time to beat another one!"
Sibyl simply smiles back, saying, "Well, we'll see about that then!" She claps her hands together, and yells, "Give it your all Miri! Psywave first!" Hopefully she does it better this time... she thinks to herself.
"Yikes! What was that?" Ali literally jumps in surprise at the multicoloured blast of energy from Miri. His Munchlax reacts a little more sedately, shaking its head to clear the sparkling lights. "The other ghost didn't do that! Okay, Toby, aim for the...necklace thing! That might be more solid!"
"We're full of surprises!" Sibyl answers back. But when Toby rams into Miri, she startles back a bit: she could now see the reason why Ali was so confident up close. She realises that maybe she'd been overestimating Miri's capabilities somewhat up until now. She really needed some slightly more damaging strikes.
That doesn't matter for now though. Getting back to the fight, she yells, "You know what to do Miri! Keep at it!" We can indeed, actually do something about that...
"Defend, Toby!" Ali yells out as Miri swoops down. The Munchlax responds by tucking itself into a protective ball, hardly even seeming to feel Miri's blow, though it's still enough to leave the young Normal-type a touch off-balance.
This time, Miri is ready for the paw of death, and deftly floats back just enough to get out of the danger zone. Sibyl blinks in surprise: she didn't think about that herself, she was so intent to pressing their advantage. A bit put out her Pokemon had been more aware than her, she nevertheless doesn't break her stride. "Nice one Miri! Keep it up!", Sibyl shouts in encouragement.
She doesn't miss the opportunity for a side remark too, saying to Ali, "Good moves, but what now huh?"
"Erm...that's a good question, to be honest," Ali admits as Toby rolls aside from Miri's retaliatory attack. "I guess...this?" He returns the Munchlax and sends out a Squirtle, who lets out a friendly chittering noise by way of greeting.
Sibyl smiles, and remarks to herself, "Fine by me..." She decides to keep up her own momentum, and doesn't switch Miri out, partly to keep on the pressure, and partly to avoid putting too much strain on Paddy, who could afford it less. "Just do your best, Miri!" she yells.
The Squirtle tucks back into its shell and dodges Miri's swipe, to a cheer from Ali. "Nice going, George! Now get Miri back!" The Water-type responds by spinning around and blowing a cloud of bubbles in all directions. It seems to be having fun if nothing else.
Sibyl raises her eyebrows in a look of surprise. "Well, he uh... At least that looked pretty cool?", commenting on the display of bubbles. Thanks to that, Miri could now have another go at the Squirtle without losing out. Unless the same thing were to happen again....
"...yeah," Ali replies after a moment, seeming just as surprised as you at the impressive-looking if rather ineffective attack. "Let's...let's try that again." The Squirtle obliges with another stream of - this time slightly more accurate - bubbles.
Sibyl's face tightens. Although she'd mocked the bubbles before, now Miri was in trouble. It was going to happen, but still. At least she knew that in this kind of situation, Miri could do some serious damage. She yells out, "Miri - let's do that!" With those words, Miri fades from view.
Sibyl recalls Miri as she goes down, "Well done, Miri..." she she says quietly. She looks up, and announces, "This should be alright for you, Paddy!", throwing out her second Pokeball to release Petilil on the field.

Hi there! I'm Seya, a 24 y.o. editor in Atlantic Canada. I enjoy writing, reading, webcomics, art, worldbuilding, and video games (I can talk for ages about SotC and Monster Hunter...). Although I'm relatively new to playing Pokémon Tabletop via forum, I've been putting together sites like this for a long time, and I'm really excited to work with you all to create an awesome environment for Pokémon roleplay. While my job here is primarily to keep the site running smoothly, I'm always happy to chat, offer advice, and deal with any problems you run across. Let me know if I can be of any help. Inbox is always open! Cheers! xx :)
Hello! I'm Sly, the East Coast mod representative! I'm a 22 year old tax accountant who is exactly as exciting as that sounds, I'm sure. PTU is my major hobby, I run several games (of which the Geode games are my pet project), and I read a disgusting amount of fanfiction. I've been a member of the community for about a year, consider myself more GM material than player material, and am dedicated to helping make your time here enjoyable! If there's ever anything you need, don't be afraid to send me an owl! (Or a PM, I guess, if that works better for you.)
Hey there! I’m DataNinja, the West Coast representative. I'm the most active Staff member on here, so if you need something, try giving me a poke first, and I'll see if I can help sort out your problem. Always happy to help!
(1 May 2015): "For our first pack, we’re focusing on utility character options. Hopefully, this will give you both interesting insights into our dev process as we make changes over time and another focused avenue to give us feedback on what you’d like to see out of PTU."
People are out there, yes, but if you're looking for a game, sorry to say that things seem to be winding down overall. There's basically been... 3 games in the last 2 years, none of which got off the ground.

It's very slow, yes. You'll probably finish working on your game before one pops up here, and if you create a recruitment for it you can expect to be swarmed with applicants.

New games seem to open up slowly here, but if new people are still welcome, I don't mind waiting around (or working on my own). It looks like there's some useful stuff to browse in the meantime.

Anyone else here a Hunter x Hunter fan?

Keep an eye on the recruitment area of this website. They're rare nowadays, but any new games that crop up will show up there. If it's a live game you want though, you're outta luck.

but how else do i find games then?
Nov 28, 2019 6:17:00 GMT
Sounds to me like they weren't a group you'd want to be part of anyway.

i wanted to join a living server on roll20 to learn the system but they ignored my application for 2 weeks then blocked me

Basically, GMs post recruitments in the appropriate section, and then players apply to the open games. Unfortunately, there has been a rather... small amount of games posted lately, but there's one currently recruiting right now.

Post on the Game Masters Seeking Players page. There are plenty examples there to go off of.
