Isabella grins back at him, tossing her head. "Right, let's get started. We'll call it a warm-up for Victory Island, huh?" After all, if they were both 'future champions', they'd have to face off with each other for the title again.
She tosses out Chouette's Pokéball, letting the bespectacled Hoothoot flutter free. "Let's show 'em what you're made of, Chouette!"

Isabella pouts slightly as Harria wakes up... but Prickles did exactly the same thing in her last match, so she can't complain too much. Karma and all.
"Okay, Chouette, don't stop now! Give her a Tackle!" Really, Isabella can't wait for when Chouette learns some less physical attacks, they really aren't her strong suit. She tries her best, though, barreling toward Harria as fast as her wings will take her.

Chouette flinches at the blow, faltering back before swooping around again.
"Ouch... This isn't really working, huh?" Isabella wants to have Chouette still available when Ivy comes into play, so she can't let her go down to Harria. "Okay, Chouette, come back! Let's go, Prickles! We'll show 'em what you're really made of!"
She makes a show of half-juggling the two Pokéballs before sending out the revitalized Zigzagoon, hoping to make a better showing than his previous defeat. He hops from one set of feet to the other, waving his bushy tail.

Prickles lets out a squeal of protest as Harria barrels out of the dust cloud and slams into him, his paws scrabbling in the dirt as he skids backwards. Isabella sucks in a breath watching the blow - this is really not just Prickles' day. You'd think a clairvoyant would have better luck than to have her Pokémon keep catching those powerful strikes, too.
"Lucky hit. Come on, Prickles, Tackle her right back! You can do it!
Unfortunately, it seems Prickles is still blinded by the dust cloud, or rattled by the heavy blow, or something. He bounds forward in a powerful charge... and misses Harria by a mile, stumbling in the dirt.
Prickles' Shift: E4->E6 Prickles' Standard: Tackle on Harria ... Yeah, I rolled max damage and then rolled a 1 on AC (because I muked up the roll tag the first time). I really wish I had Small Prophecies right about now.
Isabella's next Standard is going to be Inspired Training again... assuming Prickles is still up to be Inspired.
Oscar winces slightly at Prickles' miss, since he could see how much effort and power was put into it. He quickly schools his reaction, though, not wishing to seem disrespectful or pitying his opponent.
He considers their positions for a moment. "Hmm, back up slightly, hit him from range." He says, hoping to be prepared for the next pokemon, should Harria's next attack fell Prickles.
Harria pulls up slightly, surprised but understanding her trainer's command. She backs up a step before flapping hard, unleashing reasonably forceful gust of wind, kicking up dirt and stones at Prickles.
And Prickles goes down again under the assault. Isabella makes a frustrated noise as she recalls him and tosses out Chouette's ball again. She'd really been hoping Prickles would be able to accomplish more; this battle is just not going her way. Maybe she should have brought Hirondel instead...
"Right, let's take her out fast, Chouette! Tackle, quick!" The ball sails out to release Chouette right in front of Harria despite her backing up, and Chouette comes out swinging, hurling her bulky body at the Pidgey.

Isabella winces as Harria delivers another powerful blow. As much as she might try, Chouette isn't built to deal out or take physical blows on that level, and the Hoothoot's faltering - a dogfight doesn't favor her. Isabella mutters something very rude in Kalosian under her breath. She was hoping to save this to get a quick blow in on Ivy, but under the circumstances...
"Come on, stay with me, Chouette! You've done this before - Hypnotize her!"
The Hoothoot trills lowly as those big red eyes glow, fixing Harria with a penetrating stare to try and lull her to sleep again.
Oscar's eyes widen, having not anticipated a repeat of that maneuver. Thinking quickly, he shouts: "Quick, go up!"
Harria hears the words of her trainer and follows his advice, thinking it's an attempt at evading the hypnosis. She flaps her wings, gaining altitude but unable to take her eyes from Chouette's.
In a moment, the Hoothoot's hypnosis takes effect and Harria falls asleep. However, in doing so, she falls the extra distance she rose and hits the ground harder than she would have otherwise. It kicks up some dirt and looks like it hurt slightly, but manages to rouse her from her sleep.
She still lies sprawled for a moment, though, taking a moment to get her bearings.
Oscar winces. "Sorry about that, but... let's not lose focus!"
Isabella is many things. A graceful loser is not among them. She'd been hoping to use Harria's little nap to get in a couple of Growls to take the edge off of the Pidgey's powerful tackles, or at least an attack that was unlikely to be dodged. Denied that opportunity, she mutters something even less polite under her breath.
"Come on, Chouette, don't let her get the best of you! You can do it! Tackle!"
Chouette doesn't exactly look happy about the current state of affairs, herself, but she steels herself and dives at Harria. Her battered state takes some of the power out of the blow, but they can always hope that this is the strike that takes the troublesome Pidgey down.

Hi there! I'm Seya, a 24 y.o. editor in Atlantic Canada. I enjoy writing, reading, webcomics, art, worldbuilding, and video games (I can talk for ages about SotC and Monster Hunter...). Although I'm relatively new to playing Pokémon Tabletop via forum, I've been putting together sites like this for a long time, and I'm really excited to work with you all to create an awesome environment for Pokémon roleplay. While my job here is primarily to keep the site running smoothly, I'm always happy to chat, offer advice, and deal with any problems you run across. Let me know if I can be of any help. Inbox is always open! Cheers! xx :)
Hello! I'm Sly, the East Coast mod representative! I'm a 22 year old tax accountant who is exactly as exciting as that sounds, I'm sure. PTU is my major hobby, I run several games (of which the Geode games are my pet project), and I read a disgusting amount of fanfiction. I've been a member of the community for about a year, consider myself more GM material than player material, and am dedicated to helping make your time here enjoyable! If there's ever anything you need, don't be afraid to send me an owl! (Or a PM, I guess, if that works better for you.)
Hey there! I’m DataNinja, the West Coast representative. I'm the most active Staff member on here, so if you need something, try giving me a poke first, and I'll see if I can help sort out your problem. Always happy to help!
(1 May 2015): "For our first pack, we’re focusing on utility character options. Hopefully, this will give you both interesting insights into our dev process as we make changes over time and another focused avenue to give us feedback on what you’d like to see out of PTU."
People are out there, yes, but if you're looking for a game, sorry to say that things seem to be winding down overall. There's basically been... 3 games in the last 2 years, none of which got off the ground.

It's very slow, yes. You'll probably finish working on your game before one pops up here, and if you create a recruitment for it you can expect to be swarmed with applicants.

New games seem to open up slowly here, but if new people are still welcome, I don't mind waiting around (or working on my own). It looks like there's some useful stuff to browse in the meantime.

Keep an eye on the recruitment area of this website. They're rare nowadays, but any new games that crop up will show up there. If it's a live game you want though, you're outta luck.

but how else do i find games then?

Sounds to me like they weren't a group you'd want to be part of anyway.

Basically, GMs post recruitments in the appropriate section, and then players apply to the open games. Unfortunately, there has been a rather... small amount of games posted lately, but there's one currently recruiting right now.
