The World of Muevis (PDF with all info)
Trainer Creation
The world of Muevis is set in the medieval times. Pokémon trainers are rare there, and there is no contest for badges. While some Pokémon could be tamed, not all Pokémon were safe to capture. This however, changed around 147 years ago, when the first ones discovered the abilities of the Apricorns. They managed to craft Apricorn balls out of it. However, Apricorn Balls are expensive, and thus not many could afford it. While the craft of it is a hard one, and not many could master it with ease, there have appeared some good craftsmen. Eventually, some people began to use the balls for evil deeds.
While some began to use the balls for evil deeds, others began to use them to set a Pokémon hunting business up. Hunting for rare or dangerous Pokémons, and selling them to others. Several kings or queens got some rare ones this way.
Around 140 years ago, a Trainer’s guild has been set up in Amberosia. While this guild was small, they managed to get the trainers united in that place. Then they began to spread their influence over Ventus, and thanks to the Brood family, known over the entire world. The Trainer’s guild can now be found in all mayor cities world wide. Affiliated to no-one, and a neutral ground for trainers all over the world. Yet, the only way to enter the guild is going to Amberosia, where the main location of the guild exist.
The most common Pokémon people have, are dog, wolf and cat Pokémon. Also Milktanks and Mareeps are kept by farmers. Horse Pokémon are often used as transportation.
Thieves are easily recognized, by their cut fingers on their right hand. They lose 1 finger each time they are caught. The idea behind this, is that with less fingers, a thief has less chance to get away with theft, and thus discourage them.
While Slavery is not uncommon, slavery is forbidden in Ventus, Valdemar and Iftel. The trainers guild do not accept slavery, and thus will not accept people who keep slaves.
The most common race is the human race. They are widely spread all over the world. A lesser known race is the Beastmen. They only lived in Karse, where the guild could not get a hold till 18 to 16 years ago. Maria and Alec von Hohenheim managed to get contacts with Karse, and a guild enstabled there. Only somewhere in the last 4 years, Beastmen have started to wander around the world. It has created issues all over the world, with the guild trying to settle things. They didn’t venture to Ventus or Valdemar yet.
