With that the group left. Sandra and Joel transformed into two Rapidashes, and started carrying the pair on their backs back to the pot. As they headed back the tone was a bit somber after everything that had happened.
The walk back to the pot was largely uneventful, as they arrived back Johnathan and Joel's brother were standing there waiting. Seeing the look on his face Joel's brother grabbed him and left the knight compound in a rush. Johnathan chased after him, stopping to say to the group as he chased after, "No one died it seems. So congrats, the operation seemed to have went well. I've got to run."
He transfered carfully Niyol next to Ovelia on the sandra's back, and headed out chaseing the other two on their way out of the pot. Leaving the group there.
Shelldon walked inside by himself. Sandra simply walked to the medical area and dropped Niyol and Ovelia on the Tables. Sitting there the last two cherries remaining danced around the pair, each of them healing them back to health. Allowing them to slowly wake up.
As they awoke Shelldon's voice came into Mael's head, Sans would like to speak with you by the way Mael.

I see, Mael replied to Shelldon. Where can I find him right now? Mael asked. He turned towards the group. "Sans wants to see me. I'll go ahead and give him the report while I'm at it if he hasn't been given one already," he said.

Shelldon responded, in the cafeteria.
As Mael left he was easily able to quickly arrive in the cafeteria, and sitting there was sans eating a burger.

"Hello Sans, you wanted to speak with me?" Mael asked, wondering what this was about. This isn't about the report is it? Mael wondered.

Sans swallowed the burger in his mouth, and said to Mael, "I got the report for the mission you all received. I'd like to hear your thoughts about the ending?"

As the cherries did their work Niyol groans then leaned up onto his elbow letting out a sharp hiss as the last of the cherries' magics took effect. Where at first there was a sharp pain there was now a grateful numbness down below Niyol's waist. Letting out a sigh, Niyol open his eyes taking in the cherries and those of his team inside what he assumes to be the infirmary. Niyol look at his surrounding mildly confused and opened his mouth to say something only to let out a muffled anguish cry instead. "Wha-?!!!!!!!!!”
Effectively muted by the pain Niyol completely stood up in the edge of the infirmary bed clutching at his jaw. Niyol look up once more with tears in his eyes and saw Mael leave before turning to Alex with a questioning look. 'What happened with the pirate?'

As the healing cherries restored her health and stirred her awake, what should have been peace and relief was instead only a world of pain. As Ovelia woke up, she felt her body screaming all over as she slowly started returning to consciousness feeling pain all over. Her right shoulder screamed in pain as she could barely feel the rest of her arm. Her broken knee continued to ache. She felt excruciating pain in her face. And all the pain tearing through her body only served to make her headache even worse.
She curled up into the fetal position as she moaned in pain doing her best to try to keep quiet and not scream, though all biting her lips to hold her mouth shut did was muffle the crying out. She tried to ignore the fact that her head wanted to explode and the pain in the right side of her body made her wish she could split in two and throw that side away. Her eyes watered though she pressed her face against the soft pillowlike thing she felt against her head to try and hide it. Once again she didn't know where she was or if anybody was nearby and the sheer pain in her body made asking or looking around a low priority. She kept trying to suppress any crying or screams of pain but was having little effort as she sniffled and moaned. She only hoped nobody was wherever she was to notice or hear.
She clenched the soft material she was lying on tightly with her left hand pulling it up into her closed fist as tightly as she could. Between the thing at her head and the soft ground she was guessing a bed of some sort. The Sage's infirmary again? Her room? Some other medical place? A bed? As she lay there trying and failing to will the pain away through sheer determination she started feeling even more nauseous and sick. She wanted to just throw up, but she didn't have the strength to try and find out where she was or where she could puke. "ugh..." She mumbled weakly as another sob escaped her lips from the pain. She hated feeling weak and hated crying or showing pain as well. A part of her wanted to just drift back into unconsciousness, but the sharp pain in her body made that an impossibility. So instead the young mage just remained curled up and suffered.

Mael raised his head in understanding. He thought for a moment before speaking his thoughts. "I feel like the ending was one of the better solutions to a problem that had a lot of different ways to be solved. I don't think that letting one of our own get hurt and knocked out was ideal but it was better than having a fight with someone who was strong enough to down or possibly kill at least one of us before she was taken down."
Mael suppressed a shrug, not wanting to be unprofessional with his boss and continued. "I'm not the most intuitive of people, but I think that first mate had a lot more up her sleeve than we saw when she first fought Ovelia. Not coming up with a better deal was my- our failure, but I don't think we were wrong to strike a deal. If you're asking whether I feel bad for attacking someone who wasn't fighting back, I would say that it was a little strange, but I don't feel too guilty. She beat up Ovelia twice, struck Niyol with a low blow, threatened to kill us all and was in general an unpleasant person and that is ignoring that she has probably committed more criminal acts than I care to imagine. If you're asking whether I'm happy about the way things ended, well, I would say I'd be much happier if neither Niyol nor Ovelia had taken any injuries, but I suppose that's asking for a little much. We knew what we were getting into when we chose to become knights. All in all, the mission was a success in my eyes."
Mael wanted to close his eyes and take a deep breath. I don't think I've spoken this much in one go before, he thought. In the interest of remaining at least somewhat professional though, he resisted and looked Sans in the eyes, standing relaxed but not slouching. He was ready to be judged, if that was what was happening.

Sans smiled, "I agree, and I don't."
"your right, the mission was a success, and honestly without fighting the first mate I wouldn't know how strong she was. Though at least from what I heard from shelldon, she had enough power to pose a major threat to you all. Despite your greater numbers." He said.
He asked, "Don't you think that's a bit worrysome? that you aren't strong enough to handle someone like her?"
"Don't you think it's worrysome that you aren't strong enough yet to do what you want?" he asked looking Mael in his eyes, "not being strong enough that you can with confidence ask me to do the thing you want to do?"
He reached into his pocket and placed on the table in front of him, a dark velvet blue key.

Alex was about to leave the medical room after helping to drop off the two when she heard Niyol stir. He sat up and looked at her, but didn't make much of a sound. His jaw must still be messed up. He did take quite a nasty blow to it. She looked over and saw that Ovelia was also awake, and moaning in a lot of pain. She turned back to address Niyol. "Hey Niyol good to see you join the world of the living. You seem to be looking fine, minus the whole inability to talk and the swelling on your mouth," she said, realizing after she said it that that was not 'fine'. "Ovelia seems to be in a lot of pain, so I'm going to try and go find someone who has at least some medical experience. If you can move fine, can you look for any painkillers?" she asked Niyol.

Niyol gave the faintest smile in reply to Alex before it quickly turned into a grimace. Niyol then gave Alex a slow nod and began looking around the room for pain killers, gathering a basin and a pitcher of water along the way.
Gritting, or rather specifically not gritting his teeth, Niyol then walk over beside Oveila's bed with the items he could find.
Silently, Niyol wet cloth with some cool water and strained the water until it was only damped. Then, gingerly at first, Niyol gently touched Oveila's cheek with cool fingers signaling to her through touch to expose her face so that he may place a damp cloth onto her forehead.

Do the thing I want to do? Mael repeated mentally, the words almost echoing in his mind, before Sans placed a dark velvet blue key onto the table. Mael's eyes widened. "Do you know?" he blurted out. "So you know about my brother?" he asked, a little more calmly this time. "You're right," Mael said nodding. "I'm worried about being too weak to find him. I was worried about asking you to give us a mission to head to the dungeon he went to, because there's a chance we may face death in there if we go in without help at our current level of strength." Mael paused. The way Sans talked it was as if... "Do you have a way for us to get stronger Sans? Something that will prepare us for the dangers we will face?"

Sans nodded, "I know about your brother, and Igor told me he gave you the map to the labyrinth he went to."
"Going there isn't safe as your are now." he said looking at him.
He smiled, "that said, I know you guys still need more training and today I got what I needed."
Placing a map on the table he said, "In three days time, take Alex, yourself, Niyol, and Ovelia with you to go to this labyrinth. It should be within your power level. Thane is going to train with another group as he still needs more tutoring in the basics."

Mael nodded seriously. "I'll inform then of what's going on," he said, feeling somewhat disappointed and relieved at the same time.

Alex went outside the room, and tried to think of the best plan of action. She decided that the best way to go about was to find Sheldon, because even though she didn't think he had any medical experience, she was willing to bet he knew someone who did.

It didn't take that long for mael to walk back from the cafeteria to the medical examination room.
Alex was easily able to find Shelldon in the common space area of the mansion.

"Hey Sheldon, I have a question," she said as she approached him. "Does anyone currently in the mansion have any medical training whatsoever? Ovelia is now awake, but in a lot of pain and I don't really know how to help her."

Shelldon nodded, yes, but the injuries that Ovelia has is going to require our primary medic, the cherries have already done more than our other medic could do for her.

"So we are just going to let her lie there writhing in pain? Is there at least someone who could put her to sleep so she doesn't feel so uncomfortable?"
