About me: I suppose I'll start with age since everyone else is. I'm a twenty seven year old who has been with the Pokemon franchise since the beginning. I sort of fell out of it a bit in gen V, but Kalos definitely brought me back in. I'll lose many hours of my night just reading whatever catches my interest; it's happened with tabletop RPG books aplenty, it's happened with regular books, and it's even happened with random forum posts. So, if you spot me at the bottom of the page in the "users online" for your campaign, yet I'm not a player in it, that's why.
Given the choice, I will almost always side with the less represented option. For instance, the Pokemon I pick would likely be the least expected combination of traits I could come up with (unless I have an actual story idea in mind). I'm also probably too much of a perfectionist with myself for my own good, but I do hope that translates into what I provide being of decent quality. I try to be funny a lot of the time, so take anything I say with a grain of salt. I've been told my humor can be a bit dry. But any poking fun at is just that and done in good nature, arguing on the internet is a waste of time. Debating on the internet can be successful though, as long as both sides know that they are trying to find the best answer and there's no hard feelings.
And if you couldn't tell, I'm terrible at selling myself (interviews are the worst) or just telling about my good points in general. It comes with the territory of being a brat when you were younger, then realizing just how awful you were. Maybe I'm cynical, but whenever I hear myself try to do that, it just sounds like bragging.
Tabletop Experience: Mostly D&D with a little bit of Pathfinder. I got into D&D sometime after high school, so a safe guess is probably around eight or nine years of on and off campaigns. Most of that would be 3.5, but I can't say I truly liked that edition, I do enjoy 5e quite a bit though. I home brewed some races for the last 5e campaign I ran. I don't know if they turned out perfectly balanced like I was hoping for, but my brother who is a notorious power gamer went with one of the standard 5e races over one of them (so they must not be too abuse-able).
I do enjoy thinking about and creating builds that are very powerful or use a certain mechanic to its fullest. I've never actually wanted to use one of those types of builds in a campaign, though. I prefer to have something in line with the power level of the other players, or preferably in line with the system, so things are still challenging (if you breeze through it all, what's the point?).
Pokemon Tabletop Experience: Sadly, almost none. Some real life friends tried it out for a night to see what the combat system was like, but it didn't really go anywhere else.
I'm currently in love with the rules for the PMD adaptations, or possibly just playing as a Pokemon in regular PTU. There's so many good story opportunities there that it just has all of my interest.
PbP Experience: Also none... I have heard it's good for people with unusual schedules though, so that's why I'm here and trying to get out there.
