Inaugural Mission: Introduction and First Mission

Ovelia groans when all the leaders arrive. "Really? I mean, I'm all for an extra chance to show off, but that's just incompetency..." She muttered about the Rainbow group failing to block the leaders. "Didn't know we were teamed up with the local idiots..." She grumbled to herself as she took a deep breath and started building up electric energy. While she didn't think that highly of the bandits the numbers and pokemon would be a problem. At the very least she wanted to give one of them a powerful hit before her injuries got worse.

Ovelia finished charging and looked over at the new arrivals. She was pretty sure whoever she attacked would go down, the question was simply which. When the one man started giving orders, Ovelia smirked. It seemed he was the leader. She would dash up, drop him, and then morale would fall.

When she saw the woman with the wand start to point her wand forward, Ovelia was about to move when she saw the idiot pirate and his bird still in the way. She growled annoyed before quickly charging behind him, "Dodge, idiot!" She said quickly putting her right arm on the left side of his body and shoving him to the right to get out the way. She then turned to dash into the other direction to dodge as well, but it was at that point she saw the blast of cold ice release from the wand. W-what? She thought shocked as she realized even with her speed she wouldn't have enough time to dodge at point blank range. She had figured she could shove the idiot and then move out the way. She was fast. She was untouchable. A simple push then dive was easy! She tried to twist to dodge the ice lance, but it was too accurate and too close.

She felt the blast pierce into her and she gasped shocked as it went through her. She stumbled backwards and coughed, her throat burning from the blood she coughed up. Her hands went limp and the clang of metal hitting the ground was the only thing she heard as the world seemed to slowly fade out. Everything got so quiet, so warm, so dark, and then she saw the world start to turn horizontal as her body started to fall. Finally, everything went dark and the pain stopped.

Thane circles around the small stone creature to bring to bear a vicious pair of strikes on the bandit that the leader referred to as "Kendel" but felt his second blow seem to glace off some invisible barrier of sorts.

Mael jumped a little when two of the bandits suddenly appeared from thin air just as few meters away from him. It was the child and the woman who had just taken out Ovelia. Mael gritted his teeth a little. They may be strong, but Mael wasn't going to let them get away with harming a member of his team. None of them would end up like his brother, if Mael had anything to say about it. Mael channeled his anger into his magic, moved a little closer to his targets and then snarled, a noise that could have come from a menacing territorial Houndoom, releasing a conical vortex of dark magic.

"Tenebram hit the woman with Pursuit!" The Dark-type bat his wings heavily and then shot off towards the woman like a comet, trailing a dark energy and aiming to pierce the ice mage with his sharp beak.

Alex saw the massive damage the ice person put out onto Mael and Tenebram and realized that she was a high priority target. "Ignore the rock, Larvesta, and go hit the person behind you!" she shouted. Larvesta slunk away, but not after taking a hit from the rock pokemon. Then, Larvesta once again attempted to crash his fiery body into the trainer.

Meanwhile, Alex needed to make sure that the shield bearer wouldn't be tanking any hits for any of his party members, or else no progress would be made, so she shot him with a spider web to temporarily incapacitate him.

Alex, upon noticing them trying to escape, decides to think fast. She shouts "Larvesta, slow him down!" before shooting her own pile of webs to surround him. Meanwhile, Larvesta uses rockets up into the air over the ice and uses string shot on the leader.

After getting a hit on the escaping leader, Mael turned towards him in order to mete out some justice, but then the Larvester and its trainer seemed to target the man, so Mael turned towards the Pokemon and the boy instead. He winced a little. Picking on kids hadn't been what he became a Magic Knight for. Not that he'd wanted to be one in the first place. Still, a bandit was a bandit, and it wasn't as if he hadn't hit the kid already, when he'd been angry at the female mage, Relman. Anger was so exhausting. Good thing the Larvesta had taken that woman down, or he'd have had to spend more energy being angry.

Pushing his mental ruminations aside, Mael tensed, letting his magic flow from his core into his throat, and then snarled at his two targets, releasing a burst of energy.

The kid was slashed into by the attack, and he looked clearly hurt a bit, but a strange bit of energy seemed to be protecting him.

The boss looked at the larvesta shooting him with the webs, and lifted his shield and shifted the body over his shoulder so he could bring it down on the small creature.

Garius on the otherhand disappeaered from where he was and appeared a bit closer to the otherside.

Sheldon held up his hands and made more shields, They said they sent Byron to come help, he'll be here soon can you guys hold them until then?

Mael simply nodded at Shelldon's information, not too bothered about whether Shelldon would see his reaction or not. What was more important was getting rid of the remaining opponents. This battle had gone on long enough, and Mael wanted to see it come to a conclusion so he could go home and read his books.

With that thought in mind, when Mael saw the leader run with his comrade under his arm, he quickly focused hard, reaching deep within his well of energy and blasted the man with a burst of dark energy. Mael had seen the man take hits like they were nothing, he'd need to keep hitting him with all he had if he wanted to do any real damage to him.
