Vincent chuckles at his companions' byplay. Hmm these are definitely Rock-types. Best use Vex for this one. "Alright Vex, show 'em what you can do," Vincent said releasing the Cacnea. Initiatives Vincent - 10 Vex - 11

Lia manages to avoid attention, and Los manages to avoid the attack all together. "Right, nice try, but someone's gotta teach ya some aiming skills. And I'm just the one to do that."They combine forces and strike at the one who attempted to hit Los. Lia with a forceful smash, while Los avoids the temptation of biting (I mean they are made of rocks, afterall) and gives them a wet smack with her body. Lia targets Carbink 2 with a Duelist tag.

Carbink #2 is beaten up by Lia and Los. The Carbink Horde moves again.
Carbink #1 sees its fellow being beaten up, and attacks the Carvahna with Rock Throw. AC 4 vs 7QZlOss71d20 Damage: 2d6+18
Carbink #2 does the same. Rock Throw vs Los. AC 4 vs 1d20 Damage: 2d6+18
Carbink #3 decides maybe it should bolster its defenses. It hardens.
Carbink #4 thinks it may be a good idea to hit a little harder. It uses Sharpen. (Attack CS +1)
Carbink #5 just throws more rocks at the fish. AC 4 vs 1d20 Damage: 2d6+181d20·2d6+18·1d20·2d6+18·1d20·2d6+18

"Vex, get some health back with Absorb," Vincent said seeing the state his Cacnea had been put in. Vex lumbered after Carbink #1 and tried to drain some of its energy. Vincent followed his Pokemon and gave the floating rock a good walloping, making sure not to hurt himself in the process. Absorb (Grass-type, Special) vs Carbink 1 AC2 vs G_bqfT2q1d20+2 (Crits on 19+, User gains HP equal to half of damage) Damage: 1d8+30
Feint Attack (Dark-type, Physical) vs Carbink 1 Crit Roll: 1d20 Damage: 2d6+28
Vincent uses Focused Training as Swift Action unless otherwise stated. 1d20+2·1d8+30·1d20·2d6+28

Floyd and Esuri charge, Floyd attacking the first Carbink and Esuri the fifth. Floyd uses Metal Claw, as does Esuri. Floyd's target is Carbink 1, Esuri's is Carbink 5.
Floyd's Metal Claw: On an 18+ Floyd's attack raises 1 stage AC 3 vs DjjKBKzT1d20 Damage: 1d8+25

The first round of combat ends with all Carbink still stand-er floating, and two of the party's Pokemon beaten up (with only 1 fainted). New Initiative Order: Lia - 17 Carbink - 13 Vex - 11 Vincent - 10 Scier - 7 Floyd - 5 Esuri - 3 Carbink #1: Slightly above 50% HP after re-calculating damage to resist Dark moves (which I somehow forgot earlier). Carbink #2: Less than 33% (1/3) of its HP is remaining. 1 HP Injury. Carbink #3: +1 Defense CS. No damage. Carbink #4: +1 Attack CS. No damage. Carbink #5: No changes.

Los gets battered by rocks and is not looking good, and clearly unconscious. Lia quickly recalls the Carvanha. "Damnit! I will 'make' one of you apologize to Los! Scier, get out here!"Her starter is once again called out. The Chimecho prepares to launch attacks as Lia chucks a ball at the one she had previously targeted. Swift action to switch a fainted to Scier (Init 7 but you know that)
Lia uses Pokeball on Carbink 2 Pokeball Throw AC 6 (Spending ap) UHl1jb1O1d20+1 1d100-10 1d20+1·1d100-10

The Poke Ball sails between two of the floating rocks, which produce more rocks to throw about.
Carbink #1 attacks Cacnea with Rock Throw!
AC 4 vs JAkWZNci1d20 Damage: 2d6+18
Carbink #2 decides maybe it should boost its defenses so it can last longer. It hardens.
Carbink #3 decides to boost its attack power next, using Sharpen.
Carbink #4 Hardens.
Carbink #5 just does what everyone else is doing, and Hardens.1d20·2d6+18

I should have gotten that weird root the occult shop advertised... Vincent thought as Vex tried once more to regain vitality after a devastating hit. The cactus Pokemon was looking more and more injured. "Double Absorb, Vex!"That should get him a little more healthy again... those injuries look bad though... Vincent eyed the situation and got out a Pokeball. If the Carbink went down he could try and catch the second one for Lia. If it didn't he could punch his original target again. Absorb on Carbink 1 AC2 vs BDUMVehW1d20+1 (Crits on 19+) Damage: 1d8+30
Absorb on Carbink 1 AC2 vs 1d20+1 (Crits on 19+) Damage: 1d8+30
Sucker Punch on Carbink 1 if not fainted AC2 vs 1d20+1 (Spending 1 AP) Damage: 2d8+30
Capture Attempt on Carbink 2 if Carbink 1 has fainted AC6 vs 1d20+1 (Spending 1 AP) Capture Roll: 1d100-9
Absorb Crit Roll: 1d8+6

Scier begins mentally harassing one of the carbink on the end, to weaken it. Scier uses Psywave on Carbink 3 AC 5 Psychic Special (Loses HP [no weakness/resistance applied] based on the roll) uflHJV9w1d20+1 1d4
A 4! So that's Max damage at 36 hp lost. 1d20+1·1d4

The first Carbink gets drained dry by Vince's Cacnea, though both he and it miss their next attacks. The Poke Ball strikes true on Carbink #2, however, capturing it! Scier blasts Carbink #3 with a powerful Psywave, but despite the damage, it remains floating, albeit looking quite a bit worse for wear.

Although she knows the rocky hide won't give way 'much' to her attacks, it willl still hurt it some. Lia rushes the Carbink that Scier and Esuri, giving it a nice kick to the head. Gotta weaken another one, as Vincent took the one I was looking at. I mean, I guess getting one to stop attacking was priority so there'd be less of them. Still, though.Aerial Ace Can't Miss Flying Physical Crit Roll AsJr6TND1d20 2d6+29

Vincent looked at the now filled ball lying on the floor. "That one's for you Lia," he said. Vex evades the rock thrown at him and retaliates by trying to drain more life from one of the Carbink. Vincent follows suit and gives the same Carbink a punch after a feinted jab. Absorb on Carbink 4 AC2 vs 1JvilT|y1d20+2 Damage: 1d8+30

The Carbink avoids the Absorb attempt, but floats right into Vincent's follow-up attack. It doesn't seem phased though.
