The Arcanine's tough hide resists Floyd's attack. It roars, sending all nearby scurrying away from it. (See previous post on Roar. Lia's turn.)

So Catula is forcibly recalled and I have to send out a different pokemon on my turn?

The Arcanite roars, sending Lia's 'Flight or Fight' trigger to full on flight mode. She flees quite a distance before she stops, and regains her composure. "What in the world 'was' that?! I'm totally... not scared of it. Not at all. What with it's fire and big teeth. BUT FINE. It wants me at a distance, then it'll get me at one."Lia closes the distance a bit (Moving like 3 away from the Arcanite). "Lets see how big and scary you'll be after I snap you up!"Lia chucks an empty ball straight at the Pack Leader. Lia moves back and throws a pokeball! vjopWj_K1d20 1d100-9

Just as you whip a Poke Ball at it, the other Growlithe leaps in front to take it instead. (Intercept since it was within Dash distance.) It is taken in, but breaks free almost immediately. The Arcanine seems... upset, actually. It bays loudly and breathes a massive torrent of fire at the human who dared try to capture it. (GM Fiat here, just to make you work a little harder.) Heat Wave AC 4 vs O4ZvY4sN1d20 (Lia) and 1d20 (Growlithe #3) Fire Special 3d12+25 Smite Keyword. (On Miss, deal damage as if resisted 1 step further.) (Scier and Floyd's turns. Floyd's Riolu was frightened back into its Pokeball by Roar.) When Moves with the Smite keyword Miss, instead of doing no damage, they deal damage as if the attack were resisted one step further. Targets dealt damage this way do not suffer any secondary effects of the Move. 1d20·1d20·3d12+25

The fires rage into Lia, but after they dissapate, she stands. Slightly singed but with a coy look on her face. "Hey you were the one sending us all back. Thought you wanted us away."She pauses a moment, and summons up a surge of energy from within her. She looks a bit more healthy, and still ready to go. "You mad?"Scier floats up next to Lia. "Finish it Scier."The psychic type unleashes another confusion at the Arcanite. Missed, but still hurt.
Lia activates Adrenaline Surge to gain +1 combat stages in her two trained stats and gain a tick of HP.

Arcanine falls. Growlithe #3 barks at the remaining observers from its pack, who flee the area. It growls at you, then follows suit. (Dash/Sprint (whichever it is) to flee the battle.) You now stand over the unconscious forms of two Growlithe and an Arcanine. What will you do? Leave them, or seek aid for them? (Arcanine is too big to move on your own.) You gained 30 Poke XP from the two Growlithe, then another 21 Poke XP from Arcanine. You also gain 2 Misc XP for breaking up a Growlithe pack.

Seek help from that handsome trainer down the road, with two other trainers next to him of course "Now that was fine battle." Floyd says, wiping his axe blade and putting it away. "Your Chimeco acquitted itself most admirably, as did you." He pulls Catula's pokeball off of her belt and releases her again. "You performed excellently in our first battle Catula. I'll have to purchase some sort of sweet for you when we return to town." Catula tilts her head at Floyd and surveys the battlefield, nodding at her fallen foes. She then smiles and climbs Floyd's leg taking a seat on his shoulder.

As the pack runs, Lia stars walking in a circle, pumping her arms back and forth. The newly evolved Scier follows behind her, giving similar motions, feeding off of Lia's energy.
"RAAAAAA! There we go! That. Is. What. I'm. Talking. About."
She stops and looks at Floyd.
"I feel much better now. I mean, mentally. I 'am' slightly singed."
She gives a faux punch to Floyd's shoulder.
"Ain't half-bad yourself, either. But that leaves a question."
Lia looks to the unconscious pack members.
"Feels bad just leavin em here."

"Then we should carry them back to the pokemon centre. Or mayhaps forwards. I heard from a local that another house of healing was located outside the primary entrance to Mt Moon. It may be closer." Floyd suggests, rubbing his chin as Catlua happily surveys the area from her new perch.

"Yeah but the leader is 'huge'. Don't think big ol pup gonna be 'carried'. I suppose I could use some of my healing items to stabilize them? But it'd eat up most of my stash."

"Plus it'd likely attack us should we try and carry its kin to help. Perhaps there are others nearby we can prevail upon to assist us? Kindness is a basic human impulse." Floyd says, turning to look around for any other trainers. Perception check: V7mObXHu2d62d6

You are able to see 3 people preparing for a battle. One of them is slightly familiar. Anybody else in the area seems to have fled when Arcanine appeared.

"Look up there. It seems these three are our best chance for assistance." Floyd says, indicating the group and walking towards them. "Catula, guard the fallen." He says, the Riolu nodding and jumping off of his shoulder to stand near the fainted Arcanine and Growlithe, visibly nervous and determined. Do we start posting in the adventure thread now?

Deciding to kill time while waiting for Vincent to finish whatever he's doing, you go looking for some trainers to battle. You stumble upon a rather odd pair. An engineer and a girl in what looks like a pop idol's costume. After chatting for a little while, they agree to a double battle; but with one stipulation: If a Pokemon is about to be KO'd, it instead withdraws from the fight and is considered defeated. These are their only Pokemon, so they kinda need them to not be all worn out for the journey through the mountain. Once you agree, they send out their Pokemon. Magnemite and Pikachu. Initiatives: Pikachu - 15 Magnemite - 10 The Idol has Pikachu use Nasty Plot. Magnemite is ordered to do two things: Use Magnet Pull to keep any other Steel Types at a distance, and then to use Thunder Wave on any Pokemon Lia sends out. If it is immune to Thunder Wave, it should use Magnet Bomb instead. Magnet Pull does two things: It can push or pull any Steel Type within 6 meters. The distance it is moved is up to X, where X is 6 meters minus the target's Weight Class. If Pushed, it can't move any closer than 3 meters from the user until the end of the user's next turn. If Pulled, it can't move any farther than 6 meters away from the user. Same duration.

Can't even 'use' Los here. This would probably hospitalize her. Maybe she can watch and learn? Yeah, let's do that.Lia re-releases Los, and holds her in her arms again, and explains she'll just be watching how Scier fights, as Lia sends her best friend up to bat. Lia focuses in on the Magnemite, deemed probably the more problematic of the two. Scier floats forward but is immediately hit with paralysis, slowing her down. She still manages to place up barriers around her and Floyd's pokemon Paralysis:

Floyd chooses to give Esuri her first chance in a battle. When she emerges from the ball the Aron looks questioningly at Floyd. "Be ready to fight girl. Food comes afterwards." She nods and turns, eyeing up the opposition.
Initiative: Esuri the Aron - 3

And now Scier is hit with more mental fatigue. Figuring the Magnemite just needs to get taken out of battle. Didn't exactly have to be by KOing it, now does it? Lia uses Focused Orders.
