Lia narrows her eyes at the mysterious ‘things’ that got mentioned, but let’s it go for now. As Jane seems careful with the stone, Lia just palms it and laughs.
”One, a Ninetails is fully evolved. So an everstone or a Firestone ain’t gonna do anything. Two, I probably got too much human dna still.”
She bops the stone against her face a couple times.
”See? Nothin. Now if you are willing to give me this, I actually do have someone who needs it. Hopefully she’ll quit calling me mommy...”

"Yes, well, it seems a bit harsh to just start throwing rocks at you when we only just met!" Jane sticks out her tongue again. "But as long as it's not an actual vulpix-human-hybrid child you can have it. Uh.. It's not that right?"

The first line throws Lia into confusion for a second until she blushes when she realizes what Jane means. And certain 'thoughts' she had before this whole thing kicked off.
"Ahhhh... you quit that kinda talk!"
Lia clears her throat to answer the next.
"No it's a vulpix that I caught a while back who's now calling me mom. Hopefully a dose of puberty will fix it."

”Alright, then let’s go take care of her then!”
Lia gets up, Firestone in hand, and goes to hunt down her Vulpix. Kamien, thankfully, wasn’t too far. She bounds up to Lia, and snuggles in her legs.
”Hi mommy! What’s that shiny thing in your hand-“
Lia boops Kamien with the fire stone before she can finish. Kamien begins to glow, and grow. Her few tails split into nine, and her fur turns lighter. In the end, Kamien has evolved into a ninetails! She pauses for a moment, seemingly coming to terms with her new body. She then gets a wide fox grin, and looks at Lia.
”Well well well. I feel great power surging through me now, Mother.”
Lia facepalms as Kamien sits on Lias feet playfully, and wraps her new tails around Lias legs. She almost gives a barking laugh, clearly amused by Lias reaction. Scier is rolling on the floor, hardly able to contain her laughter.
”Friend Mother-healer seems to enjoy this as well!”
Lia looks to Jane.
”Dude, your stone is defective.”

Kaeda walks over to the pair after freshening up. She didn’t have much to do other than roam around the ranch to check on Pokémon. She does smile at the other beautiful Ninetales though. “Hello there. Oh what a pretty Ninetales! How majestic!” Kaeda kneels, and happily pets the lovely Pokémon.

"Oh she's pretty something, that's for sure."
Kamien relishes the pets, and begins talk back to Lia.
"Hmmm. I smell your scent on her Mother. I've seen you with her before, but she is your mate, isn't she? Interesting, as she seemed to make you upset earlier. Should I curse her? Just tell her to pet one of my tails..."
Lia looks annoyed at first, but it turns over to surprise. She leans over to Kamien. Jane and Kaeda are likely to still hear the conversation, but with only Lia's side it probably doesn't make sense.
"Wait... you can 'do' that? I mean... DONT do it right now, but... can you? ...Can I?"
"I believe so! There's so much power pouring into my once little head... I do not know exactly how powerful it'll be. Maybe she'll just be forced to kneel to our power whenever she upsets you. Maybe she'll into a delicious fish! But... if you insist. I won't do it. For now."
Lia rubs her face in her hands as she realizes evolving Kamien just turned her into a menace and didn't even solve the original problem.
"I also don't see why you can't, mother. I know you were fully human before but didn't you hear the voices of power speaking to you in whispers?"
"What? ...No?"
"Hmmm. Well maybe they'll come in time."
Kamien's tails raise up to floof-hug Kaeda to distract Lia's mate from their conversation.
"Or maybe I'm just 'playing a game' with my mother. We'll see."
Kamien continues to enjoy pets while Lia looks off, genuinely wondering how much truth Kamien's words had to them.

"My magical rocks are perfectly fine thank you." Jane frowned at Lia. She was fairly sure that whatever issue there was was't something rock-related. Well maybe if someone had a rock dropped on their head too many times ...

Kaeda nuzzles the chest floof of the Ninetales. “Aren’t you just lovely. So beautiful! I wish I had one.” Kaeda shows a lot of love to the Pokémon. Hopefully enough to cause a little Ninetales jealousy.

”Maturity is for the flying ones. I got more ‘fun’, mother.”
”But thanks Jane, regardless. She is at least enjoying herself this way.”
Lia sees Kaeda obviously try to make her jealous, and turns away with a slight blush. Lia suppresses the urge to say ‘you already have one’ because the idea of anyone even jokingly saying they own her after being captured is an uncomfortable thought. She sits in the grass and idly looks something up on her dex.
”If you really want one I think Floyd’s got one as well. I’ve hardly ever seen him use it. I’m sure he’d trade it if ya wanted to.”
Kamien also quickly catches on to Kaedas intent, seeing Lia turn away. Now that won’t do. It’s fun to mess with Mother but only she gets to. This mate of mother should be subservient to her! Doesn’t she realize how powerful they are! She gets up from pets, and grabs Kaeda’s hand with her mouth and tugs her toward Lia. Not biting her, or even breaking the skin, but a fox’s mouth is really all they got so Kamien tries to be careful.
”This way, hehe!”
Kamien pulls Kaeda over to behind Lia, and directs her hand to a spot right behind Lias new fuzzy ears. She paws her own and then the ground in a scratching fashion. If this mate wants to stick around, it’ll do for her ‘that’ spot on their line. Her mother probably doesn’t know about it either, so the most relaxing spot to scratch will be new for them both!

Kaeda watches, and follows the guidance of the Ninetales. This thing seemed dangerously smart. She’d have to keep an eye on this one psychically. But, for now, she was wise to what was required of her. Kaeda’s fingers start to scratch Lia’s. Ew ears in the desired spot.

Lia senses Kaeda begins her and is about to question it when her ear is scratched. A jolt is sent through Lia’s body, following by her dropping her dex to the floor as all her muscles relax.
”Ohhhh that feels better than any massage I’ve very had what the hell...”
Kamien comes around front and grins at Lia.
”I told you I could teach you things, Mother. Like to teach your mate to serve you with best scratching spots!”
She rounds in front of Lia and plops in her lap, quite pleased with her work.
”...Hey Jane? About that stone? Yeah nevemind. It’s all good...”
Kamien does a barking laugh.
”Hmm maybe we should get this Jane over as well? I’m sure she could also serve us... How greedy are you feeling, Mother?”
”Shhh, ya little menace.”

“What are talking about?” Kaeda smirks, and scratches Lia’s ears even harder. She evenly feels a bit cheeky, and nips Lia’s vase of the ears.

Lia leans into the scratches and then a tense jolt is sent through her spine as Kaeda nibbles on her ear.
”Eeep! So I guess your fully back to yourself then?”
She clears her throat for a second.
”Well Jane lent me the stone to evolve Kamien, and I thought it would mature her a bit, and it didn’t. But if she knows things like that spot then Kamien’s fine.”
”Hmm. If Mother’s mate keeps questioning our private conversation, I may curse her anyway...”

Orpheus suddenly cozies up next to Lia as well, and smiles at the Ninetales in her lap.
Private conversations aren’t easy to have with telepaths around. Please no cursing of the masters.
Orpheus outputs some psychic pressure to intimidate those who would sling curses here and there. Orpheus hugs Lia’s arm as she didn’t get the chance to enjoy Lia’s return. Kaeda also continues to scratch away, and give the occasional nibble to an ear.

"I thought Fluffy would be enough proof that the stones don't help with maturity ..." Jane laughs and prepares to leave. But she halts herself and pulls out the red bead necklace and holds it towards Kaeda. "Here! I made something for you..."
"It's a ward against fire! Just in case you decide to run into a burning building again." With a tone of perfect innocence she continues while her eyes slowly moved from Kaeda to Lia and back. "Or just in case ... In case you need to explore something else warm. So you don't burn your fingers or something."

Kaeda’s face turns beat red, and she snatched the gift from Jane. “THANKS!....Thank you, Jane. Very...thoughtful. I think Lia, and I are gonna spend more time together...We’ll um see you later. K! Byyye!” Kaeda flashes Jane a big, fake smile.

Kamien’s grin widens as Orpheus addresses her. Lia pulls The psychic in for a hug with weak arms thanks to scratches and nibbles.
”Hi Orph.”
Kamien mentally projects back.
Well I won’t have to if your master is nice to Mother. And if Mother does it herself, then I can’t be blamed!
Some of Kamien’s tails flick excitedly, happy to have a worthy opponent.
And then Jane gives Kaeda a gift, and with the final statement Lia can’t help but burst out laughing.
”Jane, you are good people.”
Lia looks at Kaeda with sultry eyes.
”But we might need you on retainer to make more, it might be hotter than Kaeda can handle... if she’s not careful.”
