Adventure Thread - Group A

It takes a while but Lia eventually falls asleep, only to wake in the morning and find Kaeda never came to bed. She sighs. Guess that's her answer. She sits up and stares into space for a while. At this point she doesn't know what to do. She knows she's right, it's clearly a workable idea. But at this point if she does it, Kaeda might not think it worth it to save her if she's getting herself caught.

She sighs and after hearing Kaeda move around in the kitchen, Lia changes clothes and ducks out without seeing her. 

Lia had gotten the text a couple of days ago from the gym, but hadn't responded or really thought about it. She's happy it's over and she won, but Lia had been busy and hadn't dealt with it. And after Saffron she's still a bit 'maybe Alei shouldn't be here' sort of move.

She slowly trudges through the ranch grounds after getting out of the Villa, still clearly upset, heading toward the gym.

Lia starts to leave the ranch, and slows. Another idea pops into her head. The company in Saffron. Yeah, as Eve said, it's probably not the place to sneak in... but then again does she need to? From the scientist hybrid she's 'made friends with' and Eve's statement, it's clear that they aren't 'evil'. Or at least they aren't bad. Maybe morally corrupt doing something like this, but nowhere as fucked up as the sand ninjas.

Could she just try... asking them?

Lia stops and pulls out her dex. She texts Kaeda that she's going to just try asking the company in Saffron about this whole thing as a 'safe route' for her. She then gets on Avtius and flies to Saffron instead of Cerulean to find the base.

Kaeda sighed as she looked at the message. It was probably a step in the right direction, but she still wasn't thrilled about Lia's ideas. She put her dex away, and gets back to training up her pokemon. Hopefully, by the time she got back home, Lia would be in a more receptive and open mood.

Floyd spends the day in the depths on Rock Tunnel, exploring and battling the wild pokemon within even if there's nothing to be found.

Floyd finds evidence of a fight down on level 2 of Rock Tunnel. A fair amount of blood has been spilled in one of the side chambers, though it's long dried now. Whatever went on down here certainly left its mark. In addition to the blood patches, there are also scorch marks and other notable signs of elemental attacks striking walls. A handful of empty Pester Ball casings lie scattered about the room, likely lost in the scuffle. No signs of who won the fight though. Undoubtedly the winner made their escape while the loser was left to clean up after themselves. Floyd sees no signs to indicate who went where, but logic suggests that back to the surface would have been the safest course of action for either party after what looks to have been a fairly intense fight.

Beyond this one room, there are only a handful of other rooms on the same level that show similar signs of a pitched battle. These, however, have much fewer signs, so it seems most likely from all evidence shown that there was someone (or multiple someones) pursuing another through this level of the Tunnel, and the smaller room with the most damage is where the majority of the fighting happened. Possibly the pursuing party cornered their quarry in that room, and the battle was decided there.

Neither Floyd nor Kaeda get a response from Lia.

Floyd has finished training and eating by the time Kaeda comes to talk.

"No. She probably went through with her plan of getting deliberately captured. Did she tell you how she was planning to do that? Or make sure we could track her through her pokedex or something?"

Floyd says with a frown, mentally replaying his conversation with Lia.

Floyd follows suit, only saying one more thing.

"Well she said she wouldn't, but after everything she's said I doubt she'd get kidnapped accidentally."

Kaeda's Hydreigon takes off at the fastest speed it can, sensing Kaeda's desire for haste. Of course, this results in Floyd deadpanning as he walks/hustles to the nearest bus stop in Cerulean. Kaeda makes it to Saffron (and the building in question) within the hour, only to end up having to wait impatiently for Floyd to catch up by bus two hours later. Once he does, the two enter the building and approach the reception desk.

"Good afternoon and welcome to Saffron Genetics!" The receptionist says with a fake smile, as if she's had to say this way too often. "Do you have an appointment with somebody?"
