Pushing through towards her goal, Lia quickly finds the place is swarming with 'police', who she is beginning to suspect are not what they appear to be. These ones are much more alert than the guards outside.

Fukkin-a, if this ISNT Vali, it's something shady as shit.
With the main path being VERY blocked, that leaves one option. Likely guarded as well but maybe she can sneak/fight past them. Lia heads north through the thin path (Point 5) to try to get around to the other side.

Lia just barely manages to slip past a snoozing guard and his half-alert Poochyena in the narrow tunnel. Slackers. Of course, this is quickly made up for when she sees lights pointed at the slope leading down into the second level of the tunnel with four people guarding it, two each to watch the approach and another two to watch the entrance from the lower level. This... could go bad very fast.

They've really got all this guarded up. Failing sneaking could result in trouble for her and Vali getting away. Lia decides to back up past the sleepy guard to the main entrance, and she finds a place to hold out where she can be hidden but can see the two paths out and more importantly the guards. As soon as their behaviors change that means 'something' happened.

Lia returns home later looking beat up and defeated and heads straight through the ranch to her room and just flumps clothes and all onto the bed.

Kaeda is still home from a long day of doing nothing. She looks up from her phone, watches Lia enter, and watches her flump down next to her. She also recognized that kind of aura, and it seemed Lia's attitude didn't improve. To avoid the obvious question of "How was your day?," Kaeda stays quiet until Lia is ready to talk.

Lia thinks as Kaeda holds her. What the hell is she supposed to say to her? 'Oh hey I suck I guess I'm done?' Lia's only really good at losing at the last-
She pauses.
Hm.
An idea enters her head. A really stupid one, but if she can really only lose... then maybe it'll work. She sits up and looks at Kaeda. She's silent for a while, trying to swallow a gut feeling to back out of this idea, but now she feels like she has to.
"Maybe I could borrow your Sykata, if the offer is still there?"

Lia just stands up and crosses her arms.
"I was hunting down Vali today and I think the Sand Ninjas were also hunting her. I ran into ONE and she nearly beat me. Some mook."
She sighs.
"There's really only one thing I'm good at now, and that's getting my ass kicked. So I was thinking about using that. If I 'attack' them and get caught on purpose to get some sort of tracking inside. There. I'm communicating. Happy now?"
