"Ok soooo I may have asked someone you don't like for help to get me one of the weird Kabutops we fought a while back? Please don't be mad...?"

Lia winces when Kaeda gets cold. She was afraid of this kind of reaction.
"Look, I don't like her either. She creeps me out. But she's also the most knowledgeable person on this subject of weird pokemon, so I gotta use her. This is for me to get something really strong to keep up with these Deltas."
Lia puts a hand of Kaeda's shoulder.
"Look, she messed with you. But so did I in the past and now look at us. We've both changed since then... Just trust me, ok?"

Lia pinches her temples and sighs.
"Look I could have kept it secret but I don't want that between us because I love you. But if you are gonna be this way and be cold to me, then I'm going."
She gets ready and starts to leave the room before turning back.
"Keep in mind the only reason you dislike her is the fact you tried to be all high and mighty to her and then read her mind to get one up on her. That's not the Kaeda that's standing in front of me right now. Just keep that in mind."
Lia walks out into the ranch. She knows that Seafoam will be freezing, ice bird or not, so she adds Ply and Ryk to her team to have two fire types to compliment Scier, Los, Karzel, and Hori. Although she switches one out for Avitus and heads to Celadon to shop around for supplies and ice-protection stuff.

Kaeda sighs, and shakes her head. She didn't care what the situation was. Fuck D'mara. Anyways, she needed to look up any kind of information of supplementary gyms in Kanto because fuck Nalkeya as well. She pulls out her dex to search the internet of any known places.

Kaeda finds out about a few locations she could find "unofficial" gyms. Dark City, located near the Safari Zone, which has no listed type specialty. Silver Town, located along Route 8 between Saffron City and Lavender Town, which specializes in both Steel and Fairy Pokemon, depending on the day. There is also Sable Town, near Pewter, specializing in Rock Type Pokemon. There are others, but these are the most notable.

Kaeda needed at least a few more days of training, but since these were lesser gyms, she might as well see how she did. She assembled a team, and headed off towards Pewter city. Once there, she would make her way towards this Sable town. She hadn't been here in a good long while, but it was the small town that she was more interested in.

It's no more than an hour's walk along a cobblestone path to reach Sable Town. A small town like this only has a couple of "interesting" or "useful" buildings for a traveling trainer: the Gym and the Pokemon Center. The Gym is currently closed, but a note indicates that challengers need to come find the gym leader at her home. Apparently they don't get enough challengers out here to warrant keeping the Gym open every day.

Kaeda shrugs, and heads to the pokemon center to get directions to the gym leader's home. Understandable that running a gym could be expensive. She gets her team ready, and heads to her destination.

The Nurse Joy on duty gladly gives her directions and it's not long before Kaeda is standing outside of Gym Leader Crystal's home. Crystal turns out to be pleasant enough, if somewhat serious. She leads Kaeda back to the Gym after collecting someone to serve as referee and opens the place up. It takes only a few minutes to get everything set up and ready to go. Kaeda now gets her choice of battle: Full contact vs no contact, and any number of Pokemon.

Although she didn't leave on the best terms, a small disagreement is no reason to worry Kaeda.
Hey so I'm camping right outside of Seafoam. Will be back tomorrow. With... something that will need to be explained. May have made a friend for Eve. We'll see. Sorry I couldn't make it back in time. I'll make it up to you when I'm back.
And with that and her new friend(?) sleeping further in, Lia sets up camp and gets some well deserved rest.

Kaeda checks her phone before her battle, and again, is met with more cryptic messages from Lia. She was probably going to get knocked for a loop when she got home. Anyways, she had a battle to do. Kaeda agreed to no contact, and 6 mons.

Lia is finally back home after walking all day with her 'cargo'. Once in the safety of the ranch, Lia takes the tent off the cart.
"We are here. I'll get the ice types on deep-freezing a room for ya."
She goes off to get her few ice types and any of the others from Floyd's or Kaeda's collection that she can and instructs them to freeze a room in the villa (one off to the side in the back so she has her privacy and it doesn't make the whole villa cold). She also tells them they'll probably need to keep it cold for their 'guest' in the future, but that an ice-section of the ranch is probably wonderful for them so they'll be on board anyway. As they work, Lia heads back.
"Ok follow me."
Lia leads her to the room in the back.
"Hopefully it's cold enough that you are comfortable. I told our ice types to stick around and re-freeze as needed. Maybe down the line if you 'like' it here we can install something so they don't have to work. But for now, this will do I think. Sound ok to you?"

Celestyna nods. "Yes, I think this will work well until we need to decide whether to attempt a more permanent method. You mentioned yesterday that there was another like me here? I would like to speak to her, if I may. Perhaps between the two of us, we can unlock her memories of her escape, if nothing else. I'm no psychiatrist, but the fundamentals are simple enough." She pauses a moment. "Oh, better yet, do you have a Hypno around anyplace? They're excellent for helping to recover repressed memories."

Lia makes a face when bringing Sasha's memories is brought up. Sasha made it pretty clear it was a traumatic experience and that she didn't want to re-live it.
"I mean yeah, I wanted to introduce her to you, sure. At the very least because you both will be living here and you shouldn't be strangers. But... just be careful. It sounds like however they did it to her was a lot more intense than your change. We don't have a hypno, so you'll have to talk but... tread carefully. I'll be watching."
Lia goes out into the ranch to find Sasha (And Kaeda, Floyd, or Eve, if anyone else is around)

The best way to do that is to find one of their 'research facilities' or whatever they're calling them. Even if it's already been assaulted by a third party, there is still a chance that some of their 'research' may have survived, and I can build off that to try and find a way to return Sasha to her human form, should she desire it. No promises whatsoever, but it's just a thought."
