"Well, I have chosen to challenge myself by using only three Pokemon during my journey, so I suppose we can go up to three. I'm no fighter though, so I'd prefer if we kept it between our Pokemon." He runs a hand through his hair out of reflex as he sizes up Kaeda's Darmanitan. Likely he is already planning how to deal with it.

While Lia is sitting in Anastasia's mountain cabin, listening to her chat with/berate her silly cousin Alei for not contacting her when she first got this crazy 'Notification of [whatever]', she gets a text message from Missy.
'WAT YOU DO?! WE WENT FROM BARELY 54% OF OUR FUNDING TO 150% IN LIKE.. AN HOUR!1111!1ONE!!1!! Did you suddenly get all like super rich or something?!'

Lia gets the text and looks over. Looks like she helped by accident by venting her problems. As usual, someone has to 'give' her something to solve her issues. The only way to snap her out of her losing streak would be to change what she is but she has nowhere left to go this time.
And when she's the strongest among her whole team, what else can she do to make her Los listen to her?
She sighs and debates not even replying but she'll probably keep texting her.
I didn't do anything. At least we don't have to worry about it now.

Lia can practically hear Missy harrumphing at her dismissal of involvement. 'Well, whatever ya did or didn't do, it's all up to Miss Aleisandra now. Being the Gym Leader, she's the one that's got to go deal with all the legal malarkey (I just learned that word!) and stuff. Oooh, ooh, and Shinx is getting super-strong now! She can even beat up some of Big Bro's 'advanced' Pokemon now!' What follows is a complex emoji that seems to be intended to imitate a fierce expression. >=O

I mean, we're strong, but you're like.. crazy strong! I don't think Shinx and I are ready to take you on yet..but if you're challenging, then we're accepting! I can't wait until I turn 13 in a few years and get to start my internship at Vermillion Gym!

I mean it's not like I'm going to use the strongest pokemon I own. I got tons of options. Unless you just want Shinx to fight me instead  Lia sends that off hoping that'll make her ask about the challenge next time they meet, rather than what she did to get the goal finished.

"You didn't fail to get even through more than two pokemon and were unable to hit most of the time for some reason, then get frustrated and quit only to vent and get told that Los will listen to me if I remind Los who the 'master' is and should that even apply to a pokemon I raised from a baby? One that both she and I know that if we faced mono e mono I'd win, but still won't listen to me?"
She stops.
"And in my venting I said the stuff about the gym and it turns out that she's Alei's cousin and already solved the fund raising issue. Which I got to solve by accident. Can really never do anything on purpose anymore."
She looks away.
"I'm just gonna go back to the ranch on Avitus. I need to think. I'll see you at home."
Once they get to the bottom Lia tries to jump on her Aerodactyl's back and fly off.

Lia flies around for a while before deciding to head back. She's just gotta keep trying for now. She hasn't been fully proven to be a failure yet, so she'll keep trying the gyms until she wants to throw up from being tired of seeing them. Thoughts about her future will have to wait. She gets back to ranch and presumably snuggles up to Kaeda to turn in.

After getting a very early rise out of bed, maybe thinking that going back to old habits will knock something back in place, Lia gives sleepy Kaeda a kiss on the cheek before heading out to fly on Avitus. Mid-flight she realizes what heading to Celadon means, and pulls out her dex. Hopefully Floyd is actually making note of his dex for once. Floyd, I hope you'll like this but if your sister is at Celadon I'm kicking her ass across the curb for all the shit she did to you. I know you did already but I never got my piece of her to teach her to take care of her family better. She closes the dex and continues flying all the way from their ranch to Celadon as yesterday, but now with purpose. She enters and, for the most part, expects the worst. |

Lia walks up to the Gym, and smacks right into the locked doors. Turns out, Nalkeya is a late-starter, and doesn't open until almost noon. However, there is a note attached to the 'hours' sign on the inside of the door. It reads 'if you really want to get it outta the way early, find the back door'. Of course, this could easily be just another trick/wild goose chase to keep people at bay until Nalkeya is ready to handle them. It being only 7-8 AM, Lia either has plenty of time to kill or plenty of time to search for this mysterious (and possibly non-existent) back door.

Well, Lia does know 'one' way into the building. It's the vent she popped out of originally! She doesn't know if it leads to the building, but they must have carried HER somewhere from inside originally right? And wasn't this gym originally full of traps and ninja tricks originally before Lilith took over?

Lia finds the collection of warehouses she recalls popping out of before, but the exact one escapes her in favor of more 'interesting' memories. She manages to retain her focus long enough to remember it was not one of the center two, it was on an edge. So that leaves four buildings to check, all of which look identical.
