Kaeda nods, and smiles at the snubble's actions. "Lia here will be leaving for work again soon. So, let's take it easy today, because I'm sure we'll be departing soon. Once Vincent arrives shall we take a look around?"

Lia laughs and keeps her fingers out of reach, clearly messing with the pink doggo.
"Oh so the Bagon you just caught? Fair enough man, I think we had excess dragons at this point anyway. I mean some might say that's a bad thing but so many big ol dragons on one ranch is probably a bad idea. I actually did some trading myself, and I believe Kaeda tried her hand at it as well (and her Kirlia evolved into a pretty Gardevoir but yeah moving on). I got a fire bug that's probably a little too strong for the Bisharp I caught, and also traded an older capture for this little lady. Meet Cie."
Lia tosses out her newly traded Roselia, who gives a little bow.
"But yeah both of those sound like a good game plan. And yeah she's right I gotta head out probably on the bus later today so I can get to work in the morning. I should talk to her about changing my shift around so I can stay out longer, it'll be a while before I can gather up the funds for a flying license and get the Tropius Maxine left me big and strong enough to fly. So maybe changing it so I'm not having to spend a fortune on public transportation everywhere might be better."

Though the idea of a Whirlipede was interesting, Vincent ultimately rejects both offers and wishes Ace Trainer Sampson a good day. Before he sets out though, he decides that battles are likely going to be hard enough from now on to make use of Calypso's ability. He has her learn how to take the appearance of Carlin, Wrona and Arek, the new Pupitar. After that, he soon finds the others at the Pokemon Center just in time to hear Lia's spiel.
"Oh Kaeda, Orpheus evolved? Guess Cal wasn't the only one. Congratulations," Vincent gives Kaeda a warm smile. "Ah, so you're leaving again Lia? That's too bad..." Vincent doesn't look particularly disappointed, but from his tone one could possibly infer that he wanted her to stick around longer.
"So what exactly are we doing? I missed something I believe."

"We are putzing around the town, basically. And yeah it's a bit of a problem, but I signed up for the job, and I do still like it so I don't want to be jerks to them. Although you still got me today so you ain't rid of me yet. But, like I was saying, I might fix my schedule up a bit until I got that Tropius grown up and fly-worthy. That way I can stick around to babysit you guys for longer, and not have to be gone every other day."
Lia sticks her tongue out at Vincent.

Kaeda rolls her eyes. "Geez. Will you stop flirting already...Lia, you cannot leave fast enough...Hehe. Anyways, I'm ready to head out. I'm going to drop by Fuji's first. Anybody joining me?" She begins to leave, Orphues still on her arm of of course.

Lia looks in surprise to Vincent.
"Shoot, really? I would look pretty awesome riding a rock bird. Yeah, and then I won't have to wait for the Tropius to grow up! Little baby Tropius can just hang out at the Ranch."
Then she glares daggers.
"Wow that doesnt sound like a person appreciative that they just got a pokemon for free."
Lia looks to Orpehus.
"Y'know, in your new form you'd probably be mentally stronger than Kaeda now, can't you like hack her brain or somethin?"

Kaeda turns, and smirks. "I'm very appreciative, and I thanked you did I not? Just know your place. That's all." She laughs. Orpheus is able to easily speak to anyone with an open mind, and also seems to have an almost full grasp of human language. "I am quite strong when it comes to my mental prowess. Thank you, Lia. But, 'hacking' Kaeda's brain doesn't seem wise. Believe it or not, she's in quite a good mood, and you two have not come to blows today, so for that, I am glad."

"Right," Vincent says, completely ignoring Kaeda and getting to the nearest machine, receiving a Pokeball from the ranch containing the Aerodactyl. He returns quickly. "Here you go, take good care of him." He holds out a Pokeball.
Aerodactyl, Avitus, Adamant Nature, Level 29, Frighten, Cruelty and Dark Art Abilities, Knows Bite, Scary Face, Wing Attack, Roar, Agility, Ancient Power (Signature Tech'd to Physical). Has used 4 out of 6 TP.

"Since when do you have a Tropius?" Floyd asks Lia, eyebrow raised.
He pauses when Kaeda mentions flirting, rapidly deciding not to touch the idea as he thoroughly misses Orpheus' telepathic transmission.
He turns to Vincent as a thought occurs to him.
"How's Umbra doing anyway?"

Kaeda finds plenty of rescued Pokemon are available, and in fact the place is quite packed today. Seems they are having a special event where children get to come and play with the Pokemon for free (and get a discount if they then decide they want to adopt said Pokemon). Kaeda could potentially find anything to adopt that isn't extraordinarily rare or difficult to take care of.

Once there he blinks at the sheer amount of people and goes looking for an Eevee.

Kaeda smiles at the children, and pokemon having fun. A very heartwarming scene. She takes a stroll through the building looking for a possible new partner. After a few minutes on debating on some cute pokemon, she actually sets her mind on a fighting type. She goes looking for one in particular, a Tyrouge.

As might have been expected, Eevee are probably the #1 most desired Pokemon in the shelter. Many of them are either already adopted or currently playing with children outside. There is *one* left, though. However, when asked, the employee says it's a bit of a problem pokemon. It doesn't harm anyone, but it also refuses to interact with people outside of feeding/exercise time. Normally Eevee are playful, energetic Pokemon. This one, on the other hand, was simply found in an abandoned home near the edge of the ever-shrinking Lavender Swamp. They suspect that perhaps it had an owner/trainer/partner once and something happened to the person in the swamp. It's been with the shelter for years now, and only eats just enough to survive on. They fear it's depressed due to a tragic loss/traumatic event.
Kaeda
Despite it being an odd request, the employee guiding you around is pleased to announce that there actually is a Tyrogue in their shelter at the moment. It was dropped off by a Saffron Gym member who said they could no longer afford to care for it/work with it after changing jobs and settling down with a family. So they put it up for adoption.
If Kaeda is an active trainer, and can give it a good home, they'll allow her to adopt it.

Kaeda is happy to hear that there is one she can adopt. She presents her beautiful Gardevoir, and gym badges as proof she is a stellar trainer. "Here you can see my very first pokemon. I've raised her since she was a Ralts as well as many other pokemon of different types. I can well adept in taking care of the needs of any pokemon. And, here are gyms badges I'm currently in possession of. I'm currently going from gym to gym with little problem. I hope this is proof enough that I'm perfectly capable of caring for this little one."

KaedaDespite the employee's initial reservations, and protests that raising a psychic type is completely the opposite of a fighting type, your gym badges seem to set his mind at ease enough that he'll allow you to adopt Tyrogue. On the condition that you allow them to come review its condition in 2 months time (for an active trainer, a lot can happen in 2 months).
Tyrogue's stats: Male, Desperate, level 15, with Guts
LiaThe employee tells you a heart-wrenching story about how this poor, little Croagunk has lost its home due to a lack of territory in the Lavender Swamp and getting pushed out by bigger, stronger Pokemon. They would be happy to allow you to adopt it if you think you can give it a good home. (Any social skill roll to convince them)

Kaeda agrees to the future review, and after filling out any paperwork, goes to meet him. She waits while they get him ready, and smiles brightly when he comes out. She goes to her knees. "Hi there. My name is Keada. I've been excited to meet you. I'm raising strong pokemon, and I think you will make an excellent addition to my group. I'm ready to help you grow strong. But, I'll also be your family. It must be sad to be put here for whatever reason, but just know I'm dedicated to being there for you." She holds out her hand. The small Tyrouge smiles, and firmly shakes her hand. Kaeda giggles, and pulls him into a nice, warm hug.
