"Well, looks like he's still in the middle of something. Guess we need to kill time. And I need to 'seriously' train up my new Carvanha, Los. If that gym is what I think it is, she'll excell if a light breeze doesn't knock her down. Wanna go trainer huntin?"

Lia first heads to the area she saw Vincent heading toward with the gentlemen, and stumbles across a very 'familiar' sight. Both trainers unconscious, as well as a slew of pokemon, with one only really confused one up.
"Floyd, I found em."
Lia throws out Skala to fetch Vincent, while she goes around, futzing with the pokeballs to get all the unconscious ones returned. Lia also tries to make sure Nox knows that they are taking them to the center. With Skala carrying Vincent (Power 7) and Lia carrying the woman (Power 6), she motions for Floyd to follow as they get them to the center.

Floyd follows with an amused smile, well aware that he wouldn't need help anymore than Lia does. "I hope he isn't unconscious for too long. I had hoped to get on the road to Cerulean today."

It takes no more than an hour or two for Vincent and Ayame plus their Pokemon teams to be healed and ready for travel. Ayame bids the group farewell, and hopes to see all of them again at the Saffron Gym.

As Lia really never got formally introduced while Ayame was unconscious, she awkwardly waves bye to the woman who Vincent, and apparently Floyd by the recognition in his eyes, knew and faced. With her gone, she turns to the other two. "Ok I don't think this can wait much longer. We probably should find a quiet room or just a not-nosy part of town to bring it up."I'll assume it's not hard to find something like that so I'll just lead them to one and continue. Once they've found a bit of a private place so prying eyes don't have a chance to ask questions, Lia begins to address the two of them. "So I don't know why I'm really even bringing this up. It's caused me a lot of pain, physically and emotionally, and a huge crack in my confidence and I still don't think I'll be over it soon. But... I don't know. You two are the only people I really have any inkling of 'knowing' in this whole nation that aren't contained in a pokeball."She taps her belt for emphasis. "And maybe it's some sorta warning. I just 'feel' like I should tell you guys this. So yesterday, when we all split up and agreed to come back, I went looking for a trainer to crush. Make myself feel better before tackling the Gym, ya'know? Already having issues and all. But instead of finding somebody to at least mutually knock out so that their friends can find them and drag their husks to the center..."Lia gives a look to Vincent for a moment. ... I found these weirdos. There's probably a better word to use, but they dressed like they were some sort of sand-obessesd ninjas. They were wearing creepy masks, and hunting for something. The main in charge lady told me to buzz off, and I was like 'Um no this is a public place and I'm Lia and I'm awesome so I'll go where I please', then some crazy experiment girl with a tail jumped outta nowhere chased by more of these freaks, and then the woman was like 'Haha I'm going to ACTUALLY STAB YOU now cause you have a working pair of eyes I guess'. We fought, first just with her and her pokemon, then some of her goons secured the experiment girl and came over to help. I held out as long as I possibly could using every trick I had to stay alive, and this weirdo bat got summoned. I think it was an actual pokemon, but none of the right typings. It was grass and steel. Looked like a robot took a dive in a field and just rolled with the results. But it took me out, and by some pure luck the police got there because they said they were going to take me with andI'mgettingupsetagainandreallyangryandIjustwanttopunchsomeone'sheadoff!"At this point Lia is pacing back and forth, and stuck somewhere between furious, sad, and terrified. Anger seems to be the dominant one. "You two may want to stay back for now, don't need to be hurting my friends."

Vincent listened intently the moment Lia said that this caused her pain. It's that serious huh, Vincent thought as he focused even more than before on what Lia was saying. He reddened a little at the mention of what Floyd and Lia had done for him. He was pretty grateful that they had found him and got him to the Pokemon Center before anyone else came along and decided to steal his things or even worse his Pokemon.
Sand obsessed ninjas? Vincent wondered. I'll have to look out for those. Give them a little retribution for their actions. He had a bad feeling about these people, but he wasn't going to let that stop him from dishing out some pain, especially when they also likely experimented on human beings... giving them Pokemon attributes? That's all the tail could have been. Oh and let's not forget that they were would-be kidnappers.
Throughout Lia's speech, Vincent found he wasn't particularly angry. Well, he was, but it was eclipsed by a feeling of admiration for Lia, who had fought through all of this and had decided that instead of retreating into a shell, she was going to be open with her feelings, as non-destructively as possible. Vincent felt humbled that he was one of the two people that Lia felt she could share these things with.
Vincent acknowledged Lia's warning at the end, getting the feeling that Lia might need a little space after baring her thoughts like that. It was understandable for someone to be angry after such events, and although Vincent believed that Lia had more control of herself than she thought, it was a little touching that she showed this much concern for her friends even when she was furious.
"Thank you for sharing this with us, Lia. If it helps at all, I think you did your best in a situation that no one is equipped for. I can understand if right now you feel like you failed, I felt very similar after Viridian Forest, but I can tell you right now, that you are better than you think you are. It might be arrogant for someone to say that, as if they know you better than you do, but in this case it's the truth. To me every loss is also like a personal failure. It feels like I failed my Pokemon and myself, but... After all is said and done, I keep fighting to get stronger, just like you do. For me though it's never been a case of life and death, so all I can say is that I admire you for your strength."

"If you need to hit someone I can take it." Floyd says, standing up and addressing the immediate issue. Unfortunately a new criminal gang was far from an issue the three of them could handle.
"You'd think this brave new pokemon league would involve the most powerful trainers in the region responding to a new criminal gang." He continues before sighing.
"I would have reacted the same as you Lia, though I suspect I am more used to failure than you. And Vincent is right. You put your life on the line to save a stranger and that indicates strength apparent to all. Then you refused to take the gym badge you had more than earned and fought for it all over again. You are strong and will get stronger still. And if the criminals return, be it to silence you permanently or by happenstance again, I will be there. Actually, I bet that we will be there." He says, looking at Vincent before looking back at Lia.
" And they will fail because weak fools in numbers could only take you on with numbers and with luck. So believe me - if you want to make tracking these people down, saving that girl a priority? Than I am with you all the way."

"I mean... I'm certainly on the mend. I got my new Carvanha, Los, early the next morning; and although I skipped the trial bits of the gym, still beat Nekura and got the badge for real. Which is what I needed, honestly."
Hearing their concern and care seems to work as Lia finally stops and calms down.
"Thanks for listening to me ramble, anyway. And yeah I'd 'like' to hunt them down but nobody has a clue on where they took the girl or anything about them really. I mean me running into them probably makes me closest to an expert in this area. And I know jack so... Let's just say that I go running off after some strange people screaming jibberish at the top of my lungs in fury it's cause I found them and I have some heads to punch RIGHT OFF."
Lia looks a little awkwardly at the both of them, her feelings laid bare just sorta hanging there.
"So ummm, nice words and explanations aside, I suppose we should talk about what to do? I mean, with what I just explained to you, the fact that you can just be left unconscious in a fight out for the Fearows to eatcha, even more so with these crazies wandering around... Maybe we should ya'know. Team up or something. It'd be nice to not go it alone, I think."

Floyd smiles seeing Lia calm down. "I am definitely in favour of moving ahead as a group. After all, I have been reliably informed that it is dangerous to go alone. Beyond that I believe we share a similar goal and destination - Cerulean City and it's gym leader. With that in mind, perhaps we should set out today? Mt Moon may take a while to cross and we want to stay ahead of any competition."

"As I think we've milked all we can out of this city outside of running around in circles and hoping for something new to show up, I'd agree. Do we need to grab some supplies first?"

Vincent nodded when the idea of teaming up was brought up. "I agree that we should stick together." Then Lia mentioned getting supplies. "Ah there's an item I've heard of that I would like to purchase. A Type Booster. It's an occult item, which is not usually my thing, but it's meant to make you stronger, so I thought I'd try one out. In addition to that I'd like to get another Bright Powder. Can't have too many of those," Vincent grins slightly. "But in terms of Potions and such, I have enough stock I think. Let me just quickly find a store that sells what I need, so that I don't hold you two up for too long." Vincent quickly walked away to buy his items and returned soon after. "I'm ready to go now."

"Well let me and Vincent get some of that shopping done and we can roll through that mountain."
Lia continues to pay for the shopkeeper's retirement as she spends all of her 3000 on a Fishing lure for more water-based hilarity, a First Aid Kit, and the Taunt Tm, teaching it to Scier and Los.

Once everyone's shopping is done, your group finally heads for Mt. Moon. The imposing mountain looms overhead. Your group can take one of two paths. You can try to climb up the mountain if you want to find Ice types, but that requires some degree of skill at climbing, as well as some form of protective clothing or warmth as you get higher up. Alternatively, you can simply pass through the cave to Cerulean. There is a well-marked path that will take you straight through, with plenty of opportunities for capturing Cave Pokemon, or Pokemon that otherwise prefer darker places. It is lit up just enough to be able to see clearly during the day.

Lia looks up at the mountain for a moment.
"Yeah no I think none of us prepared to scale a mountain, as tempting as ice-types might be. Also I'm broke now, and don't have much more than my thin button ups so..."
With Scier floating behind her, Lia heads inside.
"Into the mountain of madness!"

"Then we now have but one choice." Floyd intones, attempting to sound ominous. "We must face the long dark of Mt Moon. Be on your guard. There are older and fouler things than pokemon, in the dark places of the world." After a few moments he smirks and gestures at VIncent to go next.

When Lia mentions the temptation of Ice-types, Vincent has to think of his favoured Ice-type Sneasel. Yeah... tempting... Vincent rolls his eyes at Floyd, but he's smiling as he enters the cave system. "I didn't know you were superstitious," Vincent has to say. "Anyway, I think I'm going to do my best to be undetected by Pokemon in there, it helps if some Pokemon attempt an ambush, because I can ambush them right back. I just wanted to let you know in case you wonder why you can't hear my footsteps anymore or something like that."Vincent releases Nox to stand guard by his side and to keep a look out for Pokemon and other dangers. The Pokemon doesn't even have to be asked to be stealthy, he is naturally hard to detect. Vincent's Stealth: s3omIxJd5d6 Nox' Stealth: 5d6+2 (Nox also has the Stealth capability) Nox' Perception: 3d6+2 (Might be too early for a Perception check, not sure) 5d6·5d6+2·3d6+2

Vincent and his Umbreon slip silently into the shadows once inside, though the point is probably moot at the start, as they are still visible without much effort due to the sunlight streaming in from the cave entrance. So here's where things change up a bit. This is the part where you begin to use the map I provided via Skype to determine your next course. A straight shot through, barring any surprises or detours, would take approximately an hour to reach the other side. This time increases the more you explore or bump into Encounters. (These do not count against your daily allotment of Encounters.) Only one person needs to roll the d10 to determine what will happen at each Point of Interest, unless the group decides to split up.

Thankfully, nothing jumps out at anyone from the entrance. A few other trainers mill about, chatting with one another, checking messages, or just generally minding their own business. None seem particularly interested in your little group.
(You may either move ahead to the next PoI or chat amongst yourselves. If moving on, simply state which direction you are going and roll another d10.)
