Lia sighs and recalls Flare. "Guess I have no choice but to wait."With that Lia heads to the center to heal up the now unconscious Flare. Shit. Well now what. Getting angry didn't do it. Getting sad didn't help. Focusing up and heading for the next badge has resulted in not even getting in the door-Lia's dex beeps. She sighs again as she sees a text from Floyd. Don't worry about me, Floyd. Lia. She sends it off before considering her options. She could continue onto another nearby city, hoping to pick up the gym badge, but getting further from the group seems... wrong. But she needs a win, and... maybe a trainer isn't enough anymore. She needs to fell a monster. She takes the path back up north, and hours later finds herself passing right THROUGH Cerulean (With a stop to move around a couple of team members and change into her swimsuit with her clothes over them), and heads north and then east, heading for the open ocean at the end of Route 25. She sets her regular clothes on the beach and dives in now, only her pokeballs and swimsuit. She doesn't release anything yet, hoping to lure something big in to take down. "YO BEASTIES! TONED TASTY LADY FLESH RIGHT HERE FOR THE PICKING!"xVtvytLC1d1001d100

Lia let's the Magikarp transport away. She's got plans for that one. She then keeps swimming about, hoping to find her monster in that Magikarp's Momma or maybe something even scarier.

"Hmm," Vincent takes a moment to think. "I say we keep this city as a temporary base for now. We can do what we like, but return here by the end of the day and hope that Lia will be around then. If Maxine gets the badge, then tomorrow we can head to Vermillion City either through Saffron and Celadon or through Lavender Town if we want to take the scenic route, or we look for Lia together if she's not around then. How does that sound?"

Floyd nods at Vincent's words. "Yes, that would suit me, though I question our chances in Rock Tunnel after the difficulty we experienced in Mt Moon. Either way we should make sure we meet again in the evening to determine our next move." He says.
"And at that I believe I should go and purchase some items. My supplies are running dangerously low and my funds dangerously high." He says, bidding Vincent farewell and heading over to the pokemart.
After purchasing pokeballs, potions and the like, Floyd receives Lia's reticent response and shakes his head before going looking for any wild pokemon in the city.

Lia flails around in the water in some sort of post victory celebration. To anyone looking (which nobody is nearby, thankfully) Lia looks like she is practically having a fit. After a moment she calms down and swims back to shore. With her own human body, she took on an evolved pokemon and won. She's a bit hurt but not even that badly. Once on dry ground, she pulls out the pokedex, and remembers the bit off-putting comment to Floyd. Shoot. I really shouldn't take out my problems on the others. I'll text him back.
Yo Floyd, sorry about earlier. Not trying to be a jerk, just having issues. Lia. With that done, she switches out her Butterfree for the new Magikarp, and releases the un-assuming pokemon. Into the water, kindly, so that he's not just flopping around on the dirt. The karp splooshes into the water, and turns to face the woman he was fighting only a little bit ago. "Hey bud. I think you figured out I caught ya, right? So I gotta proposition for you. First, look behind you."Lia points to the still-fainted Huntail. "Took that thing out just a couple of minutes ago. A damn monster, by myself. Now you took a hit from me and stayed standing. And I like that. And I think I like you the way you are. See, I already got a potential big monster hitter coming."Lia taps Los' pokeball. "Got a few of em, actually. Including myself. But I seem to have this nasty habit of not living to see the end of a fight. So I need a Shield. That's you. Your tough, and I can make you even tougher. And you'll be fighting alongside me, so I got your back. Sound good? Wanna be the strongest Magikarp in Kanto?"It wasn't fully sure of the situation until Lia mentioned being the strongest one. Still being a Magikarp but being able to fight back for it's kind's reputation is a fight it wants to take. The soon to be named Czolg is on board. "Awesome."Lia spends some time training the new capture. (Brutal Training + Poke-edges) Then, Lia gathers up her clothes (As being a genius, she didn't bring a towel), and recalls Czolg. She takes a step, before realizing she's kept Scier in her ball for a long time at this point. The longest time in recent memory. Granted, Lia knew Scier was starting to worry about her, and didn't want to deal with that at the time. But she's probably going nuts now, so better get it over with. Lia lets Scier out, who immediately beings chinging like crazy, as if alarm klaxons were going off. Questions like 'Why was I balled so long', 'Are you ok?', and 'Why are you soaking wet right now and why didn't you bring a towel you're going to catch a cold' come flying out of the Chimecho as quick as lightning. "Scier, quit it would ya? I have human ears subject to damage, ya know?"As Scier tries hard to calm down, Lia sighs, and can't seem to make eye contact with her starter. "I'm sorry."Scier freezes in mid-chime. "I'm really really sorry, Scier. I was kinda losing it since going down in that Queen fight. I burst out of the door the next day only to lose. But you saw that one. I had you contained while I walked to another city, and tried fighting another gym, one which I 'should' have on lock. I couldn't get past a pre-test. I came back here in a huff and took my frustrations out in the ocean. But I fought a big evolved type mano a mano. And won. I'm strong enough to be 'in' the fight. Nothings changed from before. I just gotta... tweak my tactics. I just caught somebody. Name's Czolg. You and him will be the ones keeping me alive while I beat face. That sound good to-"Before Lia can finish Scier rushes and latches onto Lia's free shoulder for a hug. Lia takes a step back in surprise before wrapping her arm around Scier. "Thank you Scier."They keep the embrace for a moment before Scier backs up. Lia wipes her eyes, clearly not trying to tear up. "Ok we need to move before I get all sad like yesterday. Cute is not supposed to work on me. We gotta head back to town. I got stuff to get and no money to buy it with. Come on."Lia and Scier walk/float back into town, get Lia cleaned up and dressed again, and she scours the town for a challenger. aGQDfv6c1d351d35

With that business sorted out, Vincent decides to go and look for a Trainer to battle. His last loss has left a sour taste in his mouth, even if the girl cheated. Vincent stops in the middle of his search for a Trainer and thinks. The thing that prevented him from winning the most was the fact that once his ranged attackers were down, he couldn't touch the Jumpluff. What I really need is a good flyer of my own... Well I do have Heresa, but she's still weak, as harsh as that sounds to say. It would take a long time training her up. Ampere is there too, although his flying range isn't that good. His weakness is the fact that... Vincent checks his Pokedex... He doesn't get access to a Flying type attack for a good while. Maybe I should focus on catching myself a good flyer. A Zubat or Golbat would be great now that I think about it. If I don't find one of those, Noibat or Noivern would be fine too. Those are found in caves so maybe I'll go ahead and check out the Rock Tunnel. Who knows I might even find something as rare as a Deino or Sableye in there.
Having decided on his course of action, Vincent treks through Route 9 and heads for the Rock Tunnel. Just in case he stumbles on a Dark-type, Vincent quickly reminds himself of the latest capture methods in the Dark-type Study Manual (Draining 1 AP). Floyd's misgivings about the Tunnel are still in his mind and so he doesn't intend to go in very deep and hangs out close enough to the entrance so as to not lose track of where he is, as well as to retain the ability to see things without a flashlight, although he does own one of those.

After capturing the Abra, Floyd lets out a frustrated sigh and dusts himself off, turning around to see Esuri holding the errant pokeball, the manhole cover behind her with several large bites taken out of it. "You have no idea whats happened to that metal." Floyd says disapprovingly to Esuri, crouching down. "But thanks anyway." He says, reclaiming the ball. He then recalls Esuri and goes looking for a proper fight.

Floyd returns to the pokemon centre, submitting himself and his pokemon to healing and using the Hidden power TM on those that it could help.

"I... ow."
Lia puts her hand on her temple as she returns Krol.
"Head hurts now... center plz."
Lia stumbles to the center, gets her team healed, and is informed that Maxine has left something for her. A Tropius egg so she can get around easily. She happily takes the egg, hoping to thank Maxine later before heading back out. The egg only reminded her of all the money she's going to need.

Lia pays out to the hiker, and walks back, wishing she could curse the 'luck gods' with the fisherman from earlier. She heals up in the center before heading to the shop. She sells some tms there in order to obtain some money, and then spends it right back in picking up an Egg Warmer to speed the Tropius along, as well as 'finally' getting something shiny as a replacement for Flare. A type booster! Cause Flare apparently needs to just outright ruin people's minds.
Also a bit of an apology for what happened at the Saffron Gym.
She also uses her last bit of change to buy a spare pokeball, leaving her with a handful to work with. She goes outside, and by this point it's getting late. She thinks maybe she'd need to find Vincent and Floyd, see what they are up to. But they would probably find her later. She had another stop to make.
She sees if the Gym is still open so she could find Nathan if he was working that day.

Nathan does not appear to be in today, or his shift is already over. One of the two.

"Well that nixes my plans I guess. Dern."
Lia just heads back to the center to wait for the others.

"Well that was unorthodox." Floyd says after seeing Vincent revive and capture the Aerodactyl. "Was that your intention all along or did you lose patience with the dinosaur?"
As FLoyd talks, Telum retrieves his great ball and telekinetically tosses to Floyd, who blinks as it bounces off of his head.

"I lost patience. That was rather frustrating if I'm honest," Vincent laughs a little, feeling so much better now that the Pokemon is caught.
"Well, I have two Pokeballs left, what do you say, shall we search for some more Pokemon in here?"

"Certainly. I was hoping to encounter an Onix or Pawniard within Rock Tunnel, though I know suspect I would be just as wise to scour the exterior for a Skarmory." Floyd says with a smile, imagining a battle between an Aerodactyl and a Skarmory.
"Do you wish to search inside the cave, or outside?" He asks Vincent.

As the daylight begins to wane, you are just about to call it a day and return to town when a large, angry-looking Pokemon leaps down into your path. It's a Primeape! The Pig Monkey Pokemon screeches a challenge at the two of you.

"Hmm," Vincent says, a little bit impressed by the Primeape. "I think if Primeape have the ability to learn some Dark-type Moves, this one might make a good addition to my team. Floyd if you could debilitate it, that would be great."
With that, Vincent sends out Vex, the Cacnea. "Needle Arm!" Since it's clear who Vex' opponent is, the Cacnea quickly lumbers up to the Primeape and tries to bash it with an arm cloaked in green energy that enhances the needles.

As Vincent easily catches the Primape, Floyd looks to the skies. "We'd better head back, its getting dark." He says to Vincent.
Once they return to the pokemon centre, Floyd submits him and his pokemon for healing and goes to sleep early.
The next morning Floyd rises with the sun, training his pokemon and tracking down the others the next morning.
