Adventure Thread - Group A

"Her Starmie thoroughly destroyed me." Floyd says sourly. "But I mean Flagela here and made a surprising amount of profit, so the day wasn't entirely a waste. Tomorrow the battle should be different." Floyd says confidently.

"How did you do? And what TM is the gym leader handing out?" Floyd asks curiously.

Vincent tries to look cross at Lia, but his smile ruins the effect. "Yeah, I beat her, and it was fun, though I think I've had enough swimming for a while. I got Ice Beam too. What do you mean by 'be the trainer to face either of us?' Did the gym hire you or something?"

Vincent's eyebrows rise a little. "Wow, that is pretty big. Congratulations, Ms. Gym Trainer."

"Funny timing bringing that up. We'll they'll let me use there's but it's like all water so...It's not 'ideal' for everyone. I was actually going to go on my own tomorrow morning and get that paperwork done as I keep catching more, but if you want a badass multi person ranch, sounds great!"

She looks to Vincent.

"And thanks!"

When Maxine wakes up, still a bit sore from the day before, she's happy to see she got a reply to her group text. She heads out into the Center proper and greets anyone who is there at the time, filling them in completely on the events of yesterday and hearing what happened to them as well. She'll do this with anyone she meets later as well, if they weren't in the Center at the time of her entrance.

After that she tries to find out what everyone's plans for the day are. She still needs to try the Gym, but she feels like it would be wise to devote some time to Trainer battles before that (she's got 3 encounters today - her regular 2 and 1 that has rolled over from yesterday).

Also, she would love it if her Pancham could have a little time to play with Vincent's Dark-types, as interaction with them will be important over the coming days to spur an evolution in Pancham.

She intends to offer her Grotle for trade for anything on her Wishlist, first to her friends and then to any Trainers in the area if none of her friends are interested in the trade.

And finally there's training. She needs to get that out of the way first thing, so she gets on top of that right after learning what everyone's plans are. During training, Pancham and Remoraid become Focused, while Pancham earns 13xp and Tropius earns 5xp.

"Morning Lia." Floyd says jovially. "And I think I did the same reading. It'll cost 3000P to get a ranch started, so I was thinking I'd put up 1500P and then you, Vincent and Maxine can each put in an equal share. That way we all have a stake and my name gets put on the paperwork since I have a majority stake." He explains, pausing and thinking.
"I believe I'll be accompanying you to your job, as I still need to defeat the local gym leader."

Vincent got up in the morning feeling great. The success at the gym had really boosted his confidence, which had taken a knock after losing to those two Trainers previously. The first thing he does for the day is try and find Maxine to find out what exactly happened the day before. Upon request, he lets out his team to get some fresh air and get to know Maxine's Pancham a little. After a while, he heads down to his usual training spot and spends some time training most of the Pokemon he owned.

Having gotten that over with, he then tries to find Floyd and Lia. It doesn't take long to find them and Vincent quickly greets them. "Hi guys." He usually doesn't say 'Hi' preferring his 'Hello', but Vincent has been meaning to talk in a more relaxed, natural way. Just because he grew up alternating between meetings with the social elite and being isolated doesn't mean he can't talk like a normal person right?

"I see you're deep in a conversation. Mind if I ask what it was about?"

Saving up her money is one of the most important things to Maxine right now, and she's very hesitant about letting it go toward anything she hasn't already pre-planned to spend it on, but she also understands that she needs to be willing to budge if she's going to be a member of this group of friends, so she is willing to chip in up to $500 toward a shared Ranch.

"Well, I'm all for getting a Ranch together. Just know that in the future I'll probably split off and get my own Ranch, because I intend to start up a gym one day, maybe after I become Champion." Vincent has something of a cheeky smile at the end, but it's easy to tell that he's not joking. He really believes that he could be the champion one day.
