You hear the echoing howls of multiple Pokemon, followed by the sounds of combat. You spot a few trainers watching from behind a large boulder as a pair of Trainers face down a powerful Arcanine. Trainer #1: "Oh crap, those guys are so screwed..."Trainer #2: "Shouldn't have messed with the Pack like that... that Arcanine looks pissed."You can make a Charm DC 10 to try and convince one of these two Trainers to battle, or you can "wait out" the other battle, after which they may be more willing. Vincent saw the sillhouettes of two Trainer facing down a massive Arcanine and couldn't help but feel his blood boiling. He wanted to face a powerful opponent too. Vincent looked around and shrugged. He'd made do with one of these other Trainers.
"Hello. Any one of you up for a battle perhaps? Seeing those Trainers facing down an Arcanine just gets you in the mood for a fight of your own, right?"

Well I was hoping I could battle them now but... "Yes, that'll do fine." Vincent had to smile a little at the interaction between the two sibling Trainers. They were a funny bunch for sure.

You won't have to actually wait, we're just setting up the timeline here. :3
You will face both trainers at once, each using 1 Pokemon at a time, with a maximum of 3 each (total of 6). You get to use two Pokemon at a time to match them, and may use up to your entire team if you wish.

The three trainers seem to be caught up in the heat of battle and don't notice you there. This becomes especially true when one of them sends out a Snorlax that eats up half the battlefield with just its bulk.

Lia finally walks up behind Floyd, and notices the three trainers finishing their match.
"Hey Floyd, what's taking so long bu- Oh! Hi Vincent! And the two other randos! We got a bit of a situation and might need some additional help."
Lia looks back.
"We kinda sorta knocked out half a pack of Growlithe and it's Arcanine pack leader and we don't really want to leave them out there to get munched on soooooooo..."

At the Pokemon Center in Pewter, they listen to Lia's tale about defeating a pack of Growlithe and Arcanine and her concern about them being killed by scavengers if left alone. Nurse Joy happily calls up the local Rangers, and a few are dispatched within about 10 minutes. With the exciting events of the past few hours, and the adrenaline wearing off, exhaustion begins to set in. Your group thinks it may be about time to turn in for the night.

"Of course there are rangers." Floyd says with a tone of realisaton. "I don't suppose you could share their phone number? I fear it is different to the number I used in Sinnoh."
As the day progressed Floyd retrieved Catula and updated his pokedex with as much information on local authorities as possible.
"Vincent. Perhaps in the morning we could seek out a challenge as a trio - yourself Lia and I?"

As the next morning sun rises, Lia exits her temporary housing, and brings out her four pokemon for early morning training as she waits for Vincent and Floyd. This does not exclude herself, as she tends to push herself even harder than anyone under her coaching eye. Lia uses Athlete Training to boost her Attack and Defense by one stage!
Focused Training is applied to all four pokemon.
Exp training is used on Skala and Glosny, giving them 6 xp a piece.

In the morning, Vincent also left the Pokemon Center to train his Pokemon. He was glad to see that they were in full condition again after that tough battle. During the night, Vincent had beaten himself up for not having gone and healed up his new Mawile, because it could definitely have beaten the Snorlax with its resistance to Normal-type Moves. In light of that, he had Sia take a good rest at the Ranch and put the Mawile on his team. "Welcome to the team... Carlin," Vincent told the Pokemon. "If you like getting stronger, you're going to have a lot of fun with us, I promise you that."He then had his team running drills, practicing their Moves and sparring. Only after they spent a full hour training, was Vincent satisfied. Spotting another person training nearby, Vincent was not surprised to see Lia up and about. "Hi there, Lia," Vincent greeted her. All of Vincent's Pokemon are now Brutal and Focused.
EXP Training is applied to all six Pokemon. Carlin receives 22, Machiavelli gets 18, Ryker gets 17, Calypso gets 17, Vex gets 13 and Heresa gets 11XP.
Carlin gains the Dark Art ability via Dark Ace by spending 2 TP, he also gains the Underdog's Strength Poke Edge by spending 1TP.
Calypso also gains the Dark Art ability. |
