About 3:30 PM, given that Pickup/Treasure Hunting will take about an hour per location (assuming that everyone goes at once).

I completely forgot to ask this for ages, but does the Viridian Gym Leader accept battles with beginners or is it only people who have 8 badges like in the games? Because there's not much point in leaving Viridian for Pewter to battle the gym when there's one right there.

The Gym Leader of Viridian is unavailable until you have at least 3 badges, and won't accept challenges from anyone with less than 6 (which must include Vermillion).

Madviser left. Said that JoJo didn't seem to be working out as a character, and between heavy work weekends and starting up her own game, couldn't keep up with this one anymore. That's what the short post about messaging Vincent was about.

Wrong evolution, Eric. Silcoon becomes Beautifly. Cascoon becomes Dustox. Easy mistake though.  Also, is your character's idol Cheren from Unova? Asking becuase of your new forum avatar. |

Oh it seems I was misunderstood a little, since Route 2 is just below Pewter and above Viridian Forest, I actually wanted to catch some Pokemon there before actually going into Pewter properly. I said that in a previous post, but then didn't repeat it which I probably should have to clarify.

Well, there is nothing saying you can't head back out to Route 2 before doing other things. The Gym isn't going anywhere.

Just in case it wasn't made clear by his last post, Eric has left the game. Vincent is now flying solo. Would you want to continue as is, or would you prefer another player to interact with? I'll leave it up to you whether or not we should re-open recruitment to find someone new.

I'm actually not to fussed about going it alone or having someone else to talk to. I really want to say I'd rather leave it up to you as the GM, since I'd be happy with whatever you came up with, but if its my choice, I'll think about it and maybe give a clearer answer after I actually beat the first Gym Leader. Until then I'd be happy to continue as is.

You may also go ahead and add Cacnea to your team. It is safe to assume that you acquired it when Eric/Peppers left. According to the adventure thread, Cacnea is level 6, Male, Naive, with the Desert Weather ability. You may change natures if you wish.

So, I don't mean to nag, but isn't 1500 a spectacularly low amount of money to get from a Gym for winning? Since I did the Advanced Challenge which doubled the money, that means the normal amount would have been 750. That's a lot lower than what the Viridian Tournament gave. Is it just a thing that tournaments offer larger cash prizes than Gyms?
Edit: I mean, I'm ok with getting 1500, I just noticed that it's really low.

Honestly, it was the first number I came up with. I had forgotten that I offered more for the side tournament. Let's double that. You gained 3000 from winning the Gym Battle. Also, I am recruiting more folks to join you again. Because solo games are boring to run (IMO). Fun to play, boring to run. I already officially accepted one person, just waiting a few more days to field all comers for the 3rd slot. Hopefully there will be no more dropouts.
That reminds me: New guy, you may introduce yourself ICly whenever. Perhaps bump into Vincent outside the Gym or something? It's up to you.
