While it doesn't apply to early game, once you reach mid-late game and have the funds to do so, part of the "fully customizable 'Mons" deal is the lifting of the limitations on TM/Tutor moves. Any # (even all) of your 'Mons Move List can contain TM/Tutor moves. You are free to not take advantage of this, naturally, but fair warning: from the 7th Gym onward the Leaders have really stepped up difficulty. (Well, maybe not Viridian, but that's because she's already random enough.)

It's been 30 years. The gym and whatnot was rebuilt. Even if it's not in the same location, it's still called the Cinnabar Gym. Plus, Fire Gym + volcano = fun times.

Is tipping customary in Kanto? I'm going to say that it's welcomed, but not required/expected from trainers. Normal folks are expected to leave some sort of tip though. Just like real life. |

You know, he's probably right. It's been awhile since I actually looked up this sort of thing. So as far as tips for services go, assume that prices already include such. |
