If we aren't sure... Could I get crude weapon for free? I mean... sure, *some* weapon could be useful before Honedge evolves, but... it's not really great idea from what i've seen.

Ok, sorry I think I got lost in some miscommunication there Harbinger. But yes, that's pretty much what I was thinking myself so yes, let's use the ubiquitous house rule!

Oh, right. Fixed that Sp. Defence. TBH it's silly oversight, made due to how rarely I build defensive pokemon ^^

And here I am with yet another question! Could we apply skill background to our starters?

Here's a sheet for Lucille Haille, a competitive spirit who refuses to be outdone. I think it should be mostly complete, excepting any mistakes. I'm happy to downgrade the weapon to crude if you don't think it's justified (it's not like she has Adept Combat anyway), just a bit stumped on anything else to spend the cash on While she has three classes to start, I'm going to leave the fourth a little up in the air. I could see it being Ace Trainer, Tumblr, Athlete, Berserker, or perhaps even something else entirely, depending on how her character development ends up going. As there's no slot on the sheet for a level 1 egg move, I'll just note here that it is Feint Attack.

Hmm... so, sorry nekomimi, but I'm going to have to say no to the free crude weapon. 500 Pyen isn't a terribly large investment, and there could always be instances where you'd need a backup weapon in any case.
And yes, if you wish your starter can have a skill background, especially if you feel it will bring them a little closer to that whole "reflection of yourself" thing I'm pushing on you guys.

How do potions and such work? As in, how are they fluffed, cause last I checked, the real world didn't have cures that instantly healed wounds

Ok, now here is question.
We get bonuses for using both pokemon pieces in Doublade and Aegislash.
What if we use just one piece? Can other piece move away? After all they *do* separate if you held both pieces anyway.
If it was true, I'd just use simple weapon and one living weapon blade.

Potions are indeed not "normal" medicine. My plan was to have a less-than-normal NPC supplying them and other extraordinary consumables. I haven't really fleshed said NPC out, so if you'd like to pick up some potions and such during character creation feel free to offer some ideas for what this crazy person is like!
An interesting idea neko, while I'd imagine the two halves of Doublade probably will be slightly less effective working apart (and maybe to a lesser extend Aegislash, but that's debatable), I'd certainly be willing to figure out with you how to make that work. I'd say go for it!

Speaking in some form of metrum, capable of seemingly teleporting from one place to another and seemingly all-knowing as to what the PCs have been up to are some of my suggestions! Plus, add in as much weird/crazy as you can! Edit: Might as well share what I have so far. Here's Nathan Hillside, A Mentor/Hobbyist/Telekinetic trying to figure out what he wants to do in life, with his Patient Minccino familiar/Persona Franklin.

Seemingly all-knowing bout PC activities surprisingly matches first draft of my suggestion...

Okay, background's done, here he is once again: Nathan Hillside, the indecisive tutor. Background Nathan's childhood was rather ordinary, having lived in Adamsgrove all his life. Though he wasn't much of a reader when he was younger, when he turned 12 he began to read more for his own pleasure, mostly sticking to fiction at first, but quickly changing over to non-fiction, history, antropology, geography, all sorts of sciences that told of the world and its inhabitans. He could sit and read for hours at an end, not once looking up or away, completely focused to his book. This concentration helped him greatly with school, and he found that he had a reasonably easy time learning for his test. It wasn't so much that the information came to him easily and more that he was simply capable of focusing so much on the text that all else seemed to fade away, allowing him to take in much more much quicker. His vigor in his studies did not went unnoticed, and when he was 13, he got his first request from a classmate to help them out with a tricky subject. After the first managed to get a surprisingly good grade on the next test, more people came to him for help. Nathan found that he did not mind helping them at all, and once he was 15, he had started mentoring younger kids, taking great joy in every small thing they managed to achieve thanks to his help. A few months ago, Nathan finished high school. Normally, this would be a occasion of great joy, and while he certainly found it nice to finally be finished, it also filled him with a sense of uncertainty, as he had no idea what he wanted to do with his life, what he wanted to study, what he wanted to be. So, he decided to take a year off, spending the year contemplating how he wanted to spend to the rest of his life, filling the rest of the time mostly with reading and tutoring some kids.

Currently I don't have plans for a skype chat, but if everyone wants one I may bend to peer pressure

I like having a group chat, but they can get pretty chaotic while people are still applying

*pokes head in* Let's see... Four slots and (Llyarden, nekomimi, Harbringer of Insanity, Nether, Oranchello, Jacquerel, and Revimpx) seven applications. In the first day.
Yup. Par for the course. XD
Best of luck, folks! *slinks off*

Mmh.. weakness to dark and no moves that actually use all that SpAtk until 29. I really like Gastly, but I don't know if I'm man enough for this sort of hardcore, I'll explore some alternative options xD

Gastly is definitely... challenging, to use early. It's not so bad if you have two pokemon or are fighting yourself, because it provides fairly good status/debuff support, but if it's what you're relying on to fight it's going to fall a bit flat.
