Whew, at least Floral Fields wasn't too far. Virgil thinks they really ought to get moving but before he can say anything Fennekin comes up with a gift. Eevee seemed oddly flustered about it. "Thanks. We, uh, appreciate it," he manages to blurt out.
"We probably should be heading out. Otherwise we'll be walking home in the dark." Plus Virgil didn't want to miss dinner either.

Kyria just nods to Lewis as he decides the mission, she just looks to the deerling and then to Virgil before waving at the fire types and walking out the door to wait for everyone.

Melanie manages a small smile of her own at Fennekin's thanks - though it's at least big enough that you can tell she's smiling. Okay, maybe some of it is amusement at Fennekin and Eevee, but still. "I'm just glad to help. Be seeing you."
At least something good came out of yesterday. Getting Fennekin and her team free of the dungeon is a bright spot even with everything else going on - especially since it means there are more explorers to help manage the chaos. Melanie doesn't really want to think of what would have happened if they hadn't been there to help.

"So, um, am I coming too?" the Deerling asks, somewhat nervously. "I don't really know how to...explore, or anything. And I don't have a...one of those things," she adds, nodding to Virgil's Exploration Gadget.

Oh, Deerling didn't have an Exploration Gadget....right. That could complicate things. Virgil isn't really sure what Deerling ought to do. "I-I guess you can come with us. You wouldn't be able to follow us into the Dungeon but it would give you time to, uhh, think about things..." Virgil says uncertainly. "Then you could decide if you wanted to learn how to be an Explorer. Or something else."
He heads out the door after Kyria, not wanting to get involved with more 'Eevee's Awkward Times'. "So, I need to stock up on a couple things before we head out." He'd emptied out the empty bottles before hand but hadn't replenished his supply just yet. "Oh, and some yarn for later...There was a cloth shop right?"

Kyria looks back at the deerling and then to the guildmaster, "We could get you one, it will be very helpful." She goes back into the room and approaches the trio of Explorer pokemon leaders. "Could we potentially get the deerling an exploration gadget? If we're taking her with us she needs to be able to stick together with us in the dungeon, to keep her safe." Kyria was obviously quite protective of the deerling, that was plain to see.

You should get Cubone, the younger one, to escort you to Celeste City. There's a library there that might have some books that could be helpful to you. Of course you're welcome to come with us if you absolutely insist, but we've fought before, and I don't think you're quite strong enough to handle the dangers of a dungeon"
Lewis paused for a moment.
"Actually, travelling in a group of two like that might not be much safer. How about I just pay for a night's stay at Farfetch'd's hotel for you. Then tomorrow if there's time and the others alright with it we can escort you to to Celeste and look into things together?"

"I don't want to be a bother," Deerling replies hastily. "I'm sure I can pay, um, Farfetch'd myself. Oh, but I don't have any money," she realises after a moment, looking briefly crestfallen before perking up again. "Maybe he can give me a job?" she asks, looking hopeful.
Snorlax looks down at Kyria, seemingly about to drop back off to sleep again. "Hmm, yes, jolly good idea. Professor, give the girl a...Gadget, that's the one." Almost before he's finished speaking, the Scrafty has approached with a (basic) Exploration Gadget. Maybe he had one in his pockets.

Melanie stays quiet through most of the deliberations, since the main issues she sees with the others' suggestions, they get to themselves quickly enough. Eventually she puts in, "Escorting her ourselves sounds safest, when we get the chance. They know me at the library; I might be able to help find something." Well, 'know' in the sense that they'd probably recognize her, if only for her unusual appearance. It wasn't like she had any special influence.
Once Scrafty's given Deerling a gadget, Melanie looks at her directly and adds, "If I can ever help you with anything, let me know. Especially if anyone gives you trouble about where you came from." Melanie dislikes confronting bullies on her own behalf, but she has no such compunctions when it comes to somebody else.
Talking of trouble, she remembers that she used up all of the Energy Powder she brought in the dungeon. She's going to have to get together some more medicine if they're going to be dealing with ferals frequently now... She'll have to remember to ask Eevee later where she can find that sort of thing in this town.

Though Virgil isn't exactly sure if bringing Deerling with them so soon is a good idea, at least the matter seems resolved. Plus they would get to see Celeste city soon! Well, if there weren't too many distress calls that is. "Alright, I'm gonna see if I can find a couple things before we leave," he says before hopping off on a mini shopping spree. Snooping around, Virgil comes across a Buizel trying to recoup some of his losses by selling Bottle Waters and some misc. berries. A little further and he comes across a yawning Gulpin. Virgil just makes it away with a potion before he nods off. Virgil had been trying to find the others when Eevee had sprung up out of nowhere with his question. "Err, no. Oh, that reminds me! I needed to get some fabric. Would...uh would you like me to make you one? He asks clearly about to bound off again. He'd almost forgotten to check in with Zoroark to see what he had in stock. Maybe he could even get some fashion advice from the admittedly imposing Pokemon. Final Purchases

Kyria watches scrafty give the gadget to the deerling(or gives it to her herself). "It's fine, you should decide for yourself what would be best for you to do. I just want to be sure that you're safe in any case, even if it means watching over you myself... Which I'd prefer." She adds the last part quietly to herself. "I'll stick around with you until you decide what you want to do, Virgil could you get me a few lum berries?" Kyria says as he bounces off, not accepting a share of the money.

Did you forget about your share? It practically makes us real Explorers, He says excitedly once he catches up. He continues a little Marheep-ishly, "Ummm, plus most of my money was earmarked for material for scarves so I, uh, might need some of it to buy the Lums..."

"I suppose we could find a way to set up a proper place for ex-ferals to stay... Somewhere to go while they get acclimated to society." Melanie wasn't really intending to put down roots in Sandy Bay to start with, but that was before everything that happened. Unless things die down to a point where the locals can handle things on their own, she's stuck here by her own sense of obligation if nothing else. Kyria doesn't get much distance before she hears the new topic, she 180's and bounds right back over. She seems... Happier, that the other two are getting involved with the feral issue rather than pushing her off to a random townsfolk. She opens her mouth to speak but soon after closes it thinking of what to say.

Virgil pinwheels his arms trying to keep balanced before following Kyria back into the conversation. It was still a little odd to be talking about rehabilitating ferals so casually. But times were certainly changing. "Starting a shelter seems a bit soon. We don't even know how many other ferals there are," He tries not to look at Kyria to keep her secret. "Maybe we leave it on the backburner for now? If we find more than, uh, Deerling then maybe we should worry about it. Until then she can just tag along with us. At least until, you figure out if you want to be an Explorer like us. The more the merrier, right?"
Virgil takes a hop aside to talk to Eevee. He takes a moment to inspect Eevee, judging how much fabric he would need and what color. "I'll make you a scarf. It's the least I can do after that portrait of me." His ears droop a little, "I'd have to make it tonight though. It isn't exactly easy to knit and bounce." Virgil pauses thinking on something, "Anything in particular you'd like? Suitable for a dress occasion?"
