Virgil frets at his fur. "Well, I guess we could go check it out. We ought to be fine in a group." He sounds a bit uncertain. He looks to the other two waiting on the answer to Kyria's question. As far as Virgil was concerned, more would be way better than just the two. Even if one of the more lacked taste.

Melanie looks a little shocked by Eevee's eagerness to paint her portrait. She might actually be blushing a little, somewhere behind the orbits of her mask, but she gets it under control quickly. "Ah, thank you? It's a... traditional thing my family does. I'm from up in the mountains." At least it seems to be a good reaction - she'd been afraid for a moment that she'd frightened him.
She directs her attention back to the Mawile and Spoink hanging out with Eevee. The well-dressed Spoink looks upset about something... but Mawile actually asked her about something. She nods slowly and pulls out her Gadget. "I do. Are you Guild too, then?"

With the gathered crowd around her shrouding her and her diminutive size, she closes in towards the group with Simisear, with her blue eyes awed at his swagger. She could literally feel the confidence exude in his presence, burning like a passionate flame that heated the atmosphere around him and sparking an energy that struck through her like lightning. At his mention of leaving, her tiny little feet walks in step a few feet behind him, following him closely to the entranceway.

The other Cubone is the first to notice the Joltik scuttling after Simisear and his cronies into the Dungeon. "Oh, hell. Hey -" He starts to call after Franzeska, but before he manages to say anything more the hedges that surround the entrane to the Dungeon stretch out across the entrance, weaving a barricade of branches that obscures Franzeska, Simisear and the other Fire-types from view. The branches are there for only a heartbeat before they retreat, leaving the hedges and the path exactly as they were...but neither the Joltik nor the other Fire-types are anywhere to be seen. It's as if the dungeon itself has swallowed them up.

The second Cubone's cry shocks Virgil out of his musing. "What?" He mumbles before following his gaze to the entrance to the maze and the small bug that made iit's way inside. He frowns, "it's probably a bad idea to go in solo right? Even if you're confident?" In answer to the other question he pulls out his own gadget and fiddles with it

Kyria sighs watching the bug run in, "Come here and link with us, we can go explore together!" kyria's excitement only grows however because it is another chance to prove herself to the guild, and other members "We should probably try to save the little yellow creature too... yeah that'd be good". Her jaws grin widely as she becomes more and more excited.

Lewis was beginning to wonder what the point was of his wholesale pack as he unpacked everything for the third time that hour just to get to a pulsating blue gear-shaped device.
"Okay guys, if we're gong to do this we need to do this fast"
The eevee held his paw over his exploration gear, poised to resync
"ON 3!
1...
2....
3!"
Lewis, and whoever joined him pressed down on their gears, setting them to matching signals

Virgil doesn't look too certain about going into the dungeon. There was the festival still going on and that bug had to be able to handle itself. Kyria wanted to go but that was fine he could convince her out of it, unless....The eevee shouts out that he was ready to hop in after the bug. "Wait but!" He manages to sputter but he hurriedly pushes his own device in time with the others since Kyria was sure to join in too. "Well I guess the more the merrier..."

Melanie winces as the brief motion of the branches blocks the Joltik from view. "And that is why Mystery Dungeons are dangerous," she mutters, half to herself and half in the other Cubone's general direction.
Aaaand... everybody immediately resolves to go in after her. Well, Melanie was thinking of going and getting help first, but if they're all explorers, too, at least there's somebody. She pulls out her own Exploration Gadget quickly. "Can't let that Pokémon get lost on their own."
She shoots Cubone an apologetic look; she doesn't expect he has one of his own, if his mother is keeping him back from the Guild... and if he doesn't, bringing him along could be dangerous. "If you don't have a Gadget, can you tell the Guildmaster where we're going?" Best if someone knows, at least.

Kyria pushes down on her device with the timing. She knew Virgil wanted to enjoy the festival, but she could apologize for it later. It was also just the first day, it'll be fine. "Let's see if we can beat simisear to the goal!"

The tribal Cubone made a good point. They'd be fine...probably, but it never hurt to be sure. "Oh could you do that please? Just in case?" Virgil asks the more plain Cubone.
Kyria's enthusiasm seems a might misplaced to Virgil. "The goal? We don't know what Simisear was looking for. And weren't we going to make sure the Joltik was ok?" Virgil was still a bit flustered from everything happening so quickly. He doesn't even have time to think about sulking anymore.

Lewis stared at his former bestie with a plea of manic desperation. Surely Cubone could put aside their differences for the sake of a stranger, right?

As your Exploration Gadgets flash up little messages to confirm that you've synchronised yourselves to each other, the Cubone looks...not best pleased at the turn of events. "Yeah," he replies to Melanie sullenly. At Lewis' request, he pauses for a few moments before giving just a little bit of a smirk to Lewis. "Sure, the Guildmaster doesn't need to know about all of you."
He nods over to where a Vaporeon - immediately recognisable to Lewis - is, like most of the rest of the crowd, watching everything that's going on. So far in amidst all the chatter and bustle it doesn't look like she's noticed your group, but heading into the Mystery Dungeon would be pretty obvious.

The eevee stared off into the crowd for a moment. His knees were weak, forepaws were heavy, there was sweat accrued upon his brow already. Perhaps he'd just lost it.
"Please be cool, man."
And with that, he ran off into the dungeon, assured that his band of misfits would be right behind him.

Virgil was clearly missing something in the exchange between the Eevee and Cubone. Is he supposed to be on probation or something? Maybe that Vaporeon over there was a parent? Too many questions, not enough answers. And he can't even ask them since the Eevee went dashing away. Virgil sighs but hops along, "There's no reason to run..." No one seemed to pay attention to his complaint though.

Kyria sees Virgil going in and grins excitedly, charging in after Lewis. She too was curious about the connection between them all, was that Undine? Questions for another time, its time for adventure! They wont even see her coming.

"I can try to talk to them about it, if you like. Whoever they are. But right now we need to hurry, and you'd be in more danger than we are."Not that she expects talking to do a whole lot of good with whoever's against Cubone joining the Guild. The Cubone gives a slight smirk to Melanie. "Doubt it," he replies, before relaxing a little. "More to the point, though, without a Gadget I'm not very likely to find that Joltik." He nods slightly towards the others. "Go on. And...thanks."
As the four of you enter the Dungeon as well, you hear a rather irate voice behind you that Lewis recognises at once. "What do you think you're -" Before Undine can finish her sentence, however, the branches wrap up around the four of you as well, cutting off her voice as abruptly as if she'd been switched off on a record.

As you once again experience the strange feeling of the vines wrapping around your group and, so it seems, almost literally spitting you out back into the path that leads from it back to the town proper. The first sign that something is wrong is when the other Cubone nearly slams Fennekin with a makeshift club he's apparently picked up from somewhere, only just turning the blow aside in time.
Looking past him, you can see the festival is in a state of chaos. Stalls have been upturned, or in a few cases destroyed. The cheerful fluttering banners in their assorted pastel shades have been ripped down and shredded. The sign that previously denoted the Mystery Dungeon's entrance is nowhere to be seen at all.
And an assortment of badly injured or unconscious Pokemon litter the ground.
