Vess & Trista:With the double attack from Trista and Porygon on the Smoochum, it flies back towards Vess. Vess, jumps out of the way, landing near the Grimer. The Smoochum slumps down in the snowbank, knocked out, but not without a few injuries. Trista and her Porygon certainly did quite a number on the poor thing. Vess’ punch hits, and her fist goes right through it’s body. It feels odd. It’s weirdly solid, but still very liquidy and malleable. Pulling out your fist, the goo sticks to it a bit, like it’s trying to suck you in. After removing your hand from the Grimer, it has a terrible stench. In retaliation, Grimer tries to repeat the attack he used on Citadel last time, but Citadel knows what’s coming this time. With a well-timed roll, Citadel easily dodges the attack. Using the momentum from his roll, Citadel is able to perfectly set up a tackle on the Grimer. Citadel’s spikes dig into the Grimer, making a few dents that his slime can’t seem to fill in. Initiative:
- Trista
- Porygon
- Vess
- Grimer
- Citadel

Alex:Kabby’s scratch hits, but it seems like a glancing blow. The Geodude doesn’t seem too bothered, though. Before it has a chance to do anything else, you take out a Pokeball and throw it at the Geodude with amazing precision. After a shake, the Geodude bursts out of the ball, breaking it open. It gives you a menacing look, and then vaults over the rock behind it. Once again, the Geodude tackles Kabby back. You can Kabby felt that one, as the little Kabuto gets flown back towards a small ledge with a bit of a cry. Geodude 2 uses Tackle on Kabby for 36 Physical Damage!Kabby takes 10 Damage. Poké Education for Spoink: Hxit4GHg2d6 Poké Education for Smoochum: 2d6
Zo was just planning on heading back when he came across a pair of Mon playing in the snow. While he can easily identify the bouncing pig as a Spoink, he can't quite put his finger on the second one. He's sure he has seen it before, put is failing to remember where. Nevertheless, the sight of the purple monstrosity fills him with an immediate sense of loathing, and a scowl briefly runs across his face, though he hides it quickly when the Spoink approaches him. He's startled back when he feels something messing around in his head, showing him pictures. Wow! What wa- off course, Spoink, Psychic Types, telepathy. He shakes his head for a moment, before kneeling down in front of the piglett. "What's the matter, little one? Lost your home?" He carefully only pays attention to the Spoink, not once glancing at the ... thing that accompanies it, knowing full well it would enrage him further. He didn't want to scare off the Spoink just yet. Guile to hide Zo's loathing of Frosty: 4d6+1 Spending 1 AP Charm to improve disposition: 3d6+1 Spending 1 AP 2d6·2d6·4d6+1·3d6+1

Zo:The Spoink doesn’t seem to notice your hatred of the Smoochum, as it only pays attention to you. It shakes it’s head, it’s face getting a bit scrunched. In your mind, you get the image of fire again and this general idea of warmth. Then, it changes to a picture of the Spoink, and more snow and snowflakes. It shivers a little for effect. You did not improve the Spoink’s disposition.

Zo smiles as he gets what the Spoink is trying to say. "Ahh, are you cold, little one? Looking for a place to warm up? Well, that can certainly be arranged. Would you like to join me, little one?" He rummages around in his backpack, fishing out one of the Pokéballs the school had provided him with, and shows it to the Spoink, to make his intention clear. "The place I'm staying at has a large fireplace, and it's real warm there."Charm Check to convince him: jQROGD|E3d6+1 Spending 1 AP 3d6+1

Alex grimaces, and turns to the Geodude. Maybe... Another tactic was in order. Kabby decided to keep fighting for the moment, getting in another scratch! Scratch Accuracy 8a6hJvrk1d20 Damage 1d8 +17 Alex quickly returned Kabby to his ball, turning to face the Geodude. "Woah, woah, easy there... This is probably my fault. While she really couldn't call the Grimer pretty, there was something about how it had managed to blend in so well that spoke to Trista. Sure, the smell would probably have given it away, but it had been in plain sight and they hadn't noticed! Psyching herself up, Trista throws her second pokeball, hoping to get (another) new addition to her team. While it's Trainer is occupied, the Porygon bides the time by practicing rearranging his pixels. Trista attempts to Capture Grimer. AC 6, spending an AP GgEidRQU1d20+1

Zo:
Spoink seems to debate it for a bit, turning to look at the Smoochum, then Lipwig, and then back to you. It shows you a picture of Olmia and tilts it’s head. It looks over to Lipwig, and oinks. Lipwig caws back, and the two have a bit of a conversation while it waits for you to figure out what it’s saying.

The Geodude grumbles some more and inspects you, but it doesn’t look too swayed or threatened by you. It begins to float away, probably going to go on with it’s business. You did not improve the Geodude’s disposition Initiative Track:

Vess & Trista:Trista’s pokeball hits the Grimer, narrowly missing Citadel. The Grimer isn’t in it for too long, though, because it almost immediately breaks the ball open. Out of annoyance, the Grimer pounds on Citadel again, but Citadel doesn’t seem to care. Grimer used Pound on Citadel for 22 Physical Damage!Citadel takes 6 damage. Initiative:
- Trista
- Porygon
- Vess
- Grimer
- Citadel

Vess quietly waits for Trista to throw a pokeball accurately. "Citadel, tank up for now."Citadel does so, and withdraws into his shell slightly. Citadel uses Harden, whee.

Alex lets out a sigh of relief. The Geodude might have done some serious damage to him and Kabby if that had gone on any longer... While he didn't have three pokemon... The two he had more than made up for it. Inheritance moves were pretty powerful, especially one like that. He made his way back to campus, heading into the dorms as quickly as he could. He was cutting it rather close after all.
Alex spends the next two hours applying some training to Zoey and Kabby, as well as teaching Kabby a new, special move.
8 XP to Zoey, 7 to Kabby. Kabby learned Ancient Power!

Gregory found himself nodding to all of Faron’s explanations. “Yeah, yeah, that makes sense. Pretty self-explanatory, I guess. Never much one for memorizing terms and junk like; although I bet we’re going to be doing a lot of that here, eh?”
Gregory was slightly setten back by Faron’s question as to what he was, mostly because Gregory really didn’t know what he was doing here. The question about Greg’s skills especially unnerved him as he realized whatever skills he had won’t good enough by Olmia’s standards, but he kept that little bit of dread down. “Well, I’m interested in battling and that stuff because, well, contest never really where my jam, so I’m not a coordinator. I guess owning Pokemon might be helpful back home with all the fishing, but to be honest I never really thought about that, kind of just going with the flow right now. I threw my line out and for whatever reason, Olmia bit. Maybe they saw something in me, I don’t know.”
Gregory sighed, seemingly let down by his own lack of natural talent and skill, before perking up once more. “But, you know, that’s why I’m here, to learn and stuff. If Olima can’t make a Pokemon trainer out of a countryside fisher boy, then I highly doubt anyone else can. Besides, where else are you supposed to get Pokemon as rad as this in Zaphros?” Gregory looked down to his Pokemon before looking back at Faron, trying his best to change the topic once more. “But yeah, what’d you get for a starter?”

Lyn:“Not sure. I think the athletic teams have tryouts but the other clubs don’t. I’m not sure.” Anna shrugs. “I didn’t sign up for any, so I couldn’t tell you. Maybe Adora would know.”Greg: “Understood.” Faron nods. “I received a Riolu.”At this point, Alex comes back from wherever he was and stakes a corner of the room to train in. When he releases his Pokemon, you notice he has a new one. It looks like rock with arms, and not just any arms, beefy arms. Alex:It doesn’t take you long to get to the dorms, especially if you hurry. When you get back, it’s about 8:40. Plenty of time to train. Kabby comes out of his Pokeball eagerly, even dancing around a bit after you release him. He seems to still be excited after that battle. Zoey, on the other hand, looks quite confused. After looking around, she just kind of sits there looking at you. Kabby follows your orders, for the most part anyway, but Zoey takes a bit more encouragement to get moving. With some gentle prods from you, with Kabby chiming in (or at least, you think he’s chiming in), Zoey begins to train with Kabby. She might even enjoy it. You gain 12 EXP! You may split this between anyway you like, but at least half must go to pokemon involved in the battle. Don’t forget to give yourself 1 Dex XP for Geodude!

Hearing that athletic clubs had try-outs, Lyn quickly turned for the door. "Uhhh I gotta go something came up!" She said as she quickly ran outside.
Unfortunately for her pride, Lyn's rush mixed with her high heels didn't mix well with the ice and snow outside. As her feet rapidly hit the snow, Lyn found her feet slipping. She tried to stop her fall, but all she succeeded in doing was flailing before she landed face first into the snow. "Owww..." She grunted as she quickly pushed herself up looking around as her snow-covered face tried to make sure nobody had seen. As she tried to jump to her feet, she found her rapid saving face motion only to be more problematic as this time she slipped and fell on her butt feeling cold snow on her bare thighs as the skirt only covered her butt. Realizing her rush and panic was only making it worse, Lyn got up slowly and steadly, brushing off snow and praying to Arceus nobody had seen her flailing like an idiot.
Once she had brushed off most the snow, Lyn made her way for the school, her face flush with embarrassment. She really hoped she didn't miss Adora's try-outs or she would have looked like an idiot for nothing.

Vess & Trista:Trista’s Pokeball does not do the thing it’s supposed to do, as it misses. It lands to the right of the Grimer. Grimer continues pounding away on Citadel as Citadel continues to tank the hits. Grimer uses Pound on Citadel for 23 Physical Damage!Citadel takes 6 damage. Because Grimer goes before Citadel, his 1 CS in Defense does not apply this turn, but will next turn. Initiative:
- Trista
- Porygon
- Vess

Alex nods, having gotten some good training in with his pokemon. He returns them to their balls for the night and turns in himself. It was going to be an interesting day tomorrow, and he wanted to get their morning training done early so he could pass out fliers. If he hadn't gone out and gotten hit by a rock-type, he would probably be too excited to sleep. As it was, he was tired, and the morning would bring new challenges, new encounters, and maybe new friends. He was looking forward to it. "Maybe I'll try to earn a badge tomorrow..." He murmured. 10 XP given to Kabby, 2 to Zoey. Kabby is now level 6 with 3 XP remaining, Zoey is level 7 with 10 XP remaining. Kabby learned Absorb from leveling up and Ancient Power from the feature Ancient Heritage. No Tutor Points were spent.

As much as Trista wanted to switch to Plan: Apologize profusely, Vess would probably have found that more annoying than watching her struggle. With that in mind, she tries to catch the Grimer again. Trista again tries to capture the Grimer. Ac6, spending AP tzGE0W2v1d20+1 Capture Check 1d20

Zo frowns a bit when the Spoink shows him a picture of Olmia in his head. "I'm a student at the academy, I'm not from around here originally. Why?" He glances questioningly at Lipwig, wishing he could understand what the two were talking about.
