Classes detailed positions within a manor by title and qualifications to look for in staff. It ranges through butlers, handmaidens, maidservants, bellboys, grooming hands, groundskeepers, and so on. The number of people that might be devoted to the happiness and care of even one of the girls in his class was boggling.
Lunchtime came and went uneventfully, and it was again time to set about work in the kitchens. Thel was a bit early and found Jesse and his project partner talking at length over the meal for the evening.

"Well, we had to let the dough set before baking and filling it, so there was some advanced prep to the meal. I had some help to get through it though." Jesse grinned and waved Thel along, opening one of the walk in fridges to show off the trays and trays of whitish mounds that almost looked like eggs.
"Bread uses a live additive called yeast, which raises and aerates the dough. Otherwise your bread would be flat and very dense. To get a hard outer shell we will use a higher temperature towards the end of the baking process, otherwise we will just be doing the soup this afternoon."
