Robin smiles and nods up at the remaining Paras. "Don't worry. I'll keep her safe, I promise." And with that, she releases Aubrey once more. "Well, no time like the present - let's go," she says with a smile, returning to the others with Rowan and her new friend.

Benji smiles as Orianne offers... crystals? "Oh, thanks, but that's not..." he starts noticing how her eyes linger on the crystal before he puts it away. "I mean, I don't really care for crystals, to be honest. My magical expertise is different, but I've seen them used before. I just grabbed this because..." he stops, considering how to NOT mention his hunch - which was definitely not abnormal at all and totally coincidental. "Well, we've come this far and this is a dead-end. Might as well take something from it, right?"
"Why do you collect crystals every morning?" he asks as they start returning to the main path. "I mean, if you don't mind me asking. Do you use them for something or it's just a collection?"

As your small group walks through the tunnel, you notice that when you reach the earlier widening of the path, the Diglett have not returned.

Ori seemed disappointed after her initial evaluation of the crystal Benji held in his hand. At his question, she shrugged and smiled.
"I like the glitter. All of my designs have a crystal element, it's my muse..." She reached into her satchel and retrieved a shard. "Of course, that's not the only reason. When they are combined, they can enhance or protect against types associated with their color. Combat fashion!"
Putting the shard back, she walked up to the dead end, touching the wall lightly as she inspected. "Shame we have to go back so soon. I wonder if the others found anything interesting."

Robin shrugs and looks at his Pokedex, happy to have the time available even while underground. "Eh, what the heck, we've got a few more minutes, we could take a look a bit deeper! We've got ourselves some pretty good guides." He smiles down at the group's new friends.
However, she then catches sight of Aubrey and shakes her head. "Then again, I think we've found some great stuff already. Plus, I'm eager to show a certain little somebug the sky."

The two groups start making their way back to the junction where they had initially split off, occasionally picking up some small crystals, shiny looking rocks, or miniscule mushrooms. Not much, but each of you figures you might be able to get at least some money for them, and it can't hurt to take them with. Orianne. The Meditite is still following you and Benji as you near the junction, but she slows down a bit as she hears the others. She cocks her head slightly at you, seemingly waiting for something before she plans to head off on her own. Eventually you meet up, and start heading out the cave, still picking up the occasional trinket as you do so. Chatting amongst yourselves, showing off new catches and finds, you make your way out of the cave without issue. Blinking against the sudden bright light, you step out of the mines. You have all successfully explored the initial tunnels of the Pyrite Mine's old tunnels! Everyone take 2 Trainer Experience and 10 experience to be distributed amongst your mon as you like.
In addition to this, everyone has found enough random junk trinkets to earn some cash when sold. For simplicity sake, I'm just gonna say you all earned some cash.
Jean-Marie earned $750
Robin earned $500
Vess earned $100
Benji earned $550
Orianne earned $650 |

Ori noticed that the Meditite didn't go back to her training area, instead choosing to follow them further. When they came to pause and it tilted it's head as if waiting, she took one of the empty balls from her belt.
"I know you're strong and proud. That's why you play it cool. I'm no different. If you want to keep training and get even stronger, you can come with us." She bent down slightly and held the ball out.

"Well, shucks!" Benjis says, watching the meditite walking back into the mines. "I'm sorry, Orianne. I was hoping she would eventually relent..." he says honestly, storing the last of the small crystals they found on their way back in his backpack. He then turns to his machop. "Sorry your friend didn't come, Maha. But we'll come back when you're stronger and show her what she's missing, ok?" he says with a smile and a pat on his head, before recalling him into his pokéball.
When they meet the others, Benji is clearly happy. "Hey, guys! How did you do?" he says, initially going for a small hug on the closest one, but Vess's glare immediately discourages him. "Err... We've found a few pokémon and I got one! And a few crystals, too, which I'm hoping are good for something... Are we all set?"

"I think so," Robin replies, smiling at Benji, though notably not going forward to meet the hug. "Got some value, got some mushrooms, got some friends. And in my case, I got all three," she gives a grin down to Aubrey before looking back up. "Still, might be an idea to head back to the centre for a while - got a few nicks it'd good to get sorted."

Orianne shrugged off Benji's concern. "She acts like my sisters. It's probably for the best."
She seemed unphased by the rejection, instead scooping up Sapphire and cleaning some of the dirt from her face. "You asked about crystals. There's 6 colors, and yellow coordinates with electric, rock, and steel."
Once the icy scratch-cat was somewhat clean, Ori put her down and nodded in agreement to the idea of returning to the Center. Sapphire had obviously been in quiet a scrap.

Jean-Marie blinks a little bit at the light outside the cavern, readjusting to the assault on her vision before joining the conversation.
"Yeah, I would like to head back to the center as well to regroup and patch up our scratches."

The group makes their way back to the Pokémon Center, where the young man is still on duty. "Ah, you're back. Enjoyed the mines?" he asks as he accepts any Pokémon you give him for healing. "Your Pokémon should be healed up in about an hour or so, if you wanna wait here or go into town for a bit."

Benji beams as the nurse welcomes the group. "Yes, it was a lot of fun! I didn't know they were so big and full of pokémon," he answers, taking his two pokéballs and placing them on the tray. "Thanks for your service," he says and bows, before turning to the others.
"Does anyone need to do anything?" he asks the party. "I mean, I guess we should try seeing if any of these things we found are worth anything, but I kinda wanted to work a bit on my charms, if we're gonna be fighting as much from now on. I need one for each of you, at the very least..." he says, pointing to the sculpted beads on his hair as if that explained everything.

Robin raises an eyebrow a little at the mention of charms after what he saw from Jean-Marie, but says nothing, instead focusing on the other part. "Anyone got any experience selling gold and the like? I mean, I can sell... a lot of things if we need to, but it'd probably be better from someone who actually knows what they're talking about. Still, anyone needs someone convinced, let me know."

Ori wanted to see the town's clothing and fashion, even if there wasn't a real intent of buying anything. She also wanted to see if more people used the shells and metal in designs, similar to the girl that she had met at the beach.

While your Pokémon are being cared for, your group splits off. Jean-Marie, Benji, and Vess opt to stay at the Center, either for some rest, or to work on some project, while Robin and Orianne decide to head into town, to browse the stores and sell the goods that you have found.
Jean-Marie, Benji & Vess
As you enter the cafeteria of the Center, there are two people sitting at a table in the corner, both nursing mugs as they're playing some card game. The woman briefly acknowledges your existence as you enter, while the man doesn't react much, and the pair sticks to their game as you find a place to sit.
Robin & Orianne
The two of you make your way into town, first taking some time to sell the items you had found at some local stores, trying your best to get as good a deal as you could. After finishing the last sales, Robin decides to head back to the Center, while Ori takes some time to further explore the town and find some clothing store and fashion inspiration.
Although the handful of clothing stores don't really have anything interesting, and the most unique pieces of fashion she finds tend to be in souvenir shops, she does come across a small crafts store, that does have, besides the usual materials, a couple of displays featuring more local materials, including an array of various shells, polished stones, and small slivers of metal.
