Encounters - Victoria

Thankfully, the bait got pulled in with it. It struggles a little, but is eventually captured.

Fomantis is Male, level 32, Skittish, with Tinted Lens and Leaf Guard.

Victoria eventually bumps into a somewhat-panicked looking Gardevoir. Speaking to it reveals that she doesn't recall how she got here, or her name, but is absolutely certain she is not meant to be a Pokemon.

She says that she recalls bits and pieces of being a Pokemon Trainer (she apparently found it too difficult and quit). She had a lovely Gardevoir named Orpheus whom she wanted to be closer to (in a strictly platonic manner), so she wanted to become a Gardevoir-hybrid. Unfortunately, while she was wealthy, her very traditional parents would not hear of it. They would not pay for the procedure. So, having no money of her own, she started looking into less-than-legal methods of getting what she wanted. It took some time, but she found one. She had managed to scrape money together to pay these people for the procedure (it was a helluva lot cheaper than the 'official' one). She obviously brought Orpheus with her; both as bodyguard and friend/emotional support. Everything was going smoothly and they put her under so she could undergo the 'transformation' (for lack of a better term).

Now, she herself definitely remembers being a Psychic before becoming a full-on Gardevoir. She and Orpheus had a mental bond and everything. This, naturally, is where problems started. When she awoke, she instinctively reached out to Orpheus. She could not find her. Everything after that is kind of a blur, but she thinks...she might have teleported in a blind panic? Except instead of popping up randomly somewhere in the world, she's almost certain that she somehow ended up in another world altogether! She also thinks that those bastards somehow like...combined her and Orpheus, except their new, singular body couldn't handle multiple souls/minds. So...Orpheus sacrificed herself so she could live.

Yeah, that sounds like she remembers a lot, but that's all she remembers. Not her human name, not her parents names, what she/they looked like...none of it! Instead, she knows how to do a lot of Pokemon stuff!

The human-turned-Gardevoir looks somewhat fearful of the ball. "I-I know that it's probably fine, and you'd totally let me out as soon as you could, but I can't help but be scared of being stuck in there." She glances back at Victoria. "At the same time though, I feel like I can trust you. I don't sense any malice at all from you." She sighs and reaches for the ball. "Okay...here goes...something!" She taps the ball and is sucked inside with a faint squeak of surprise. It pings a few moments later. If this were anywhere but the Safari Zone, Victoria could let her right back out. As it is, she'll be trapped in the ball until after it is transferred to Victoria's Trainer ID by Safari personnel.

Kaedavoir is level 30, Female, Docile, with Synchronize and Telepathy.

While checking out the freshwater biome with a collapsible fishing rod, Victoria spots one of those weird, electric eel Pokemon skimming across the water. It slows to a stop and then suddenly discharges electricity into the water, frying a few unlucky Magikarp which it promptly begins to eat, right there on the water. It's a bit out of reach of a ball, but maybe Victoria can entice it to come closer?

Eelektross finishes eating the Magikarp it already killed before coming closer to investigate the bait.

How the heck did she not notice a slowpoke sneaking up on her? She must be really out of it. She decides to just boop it with a ball.
