Victoria pouts. That was just... dumb. She didn't really get to actually 'fight'. So she's not really willing to do this again for now, and just decides to head to her other objective in town, the gym.

The other Kimono Girls are mildly disappointed that Victoria chose not to follow through with her challenge to the rest of them, but frustration at Kuni's Vaporeon freezing her own is understandable. They bid her farewell and do invite her to come back again; for any reason.
Upon entering the Gym, Victoria is immediately caught off-guard by how much darker it is inside. There are some very dim, red and purple lights around the waiting area, but that's about it. There are also some emergency lights on the floor, though these are not on at the moment. Further out in the gloom, Victoria can spot a few Litwick and Lampent lighting up portions of a path. This must be the 'Gym Challenge': navigating the gloom (and probably fighting off Gym Trainers along the way).
The first trainer is easy to reach. The older woman greets Victoria kindly and informs her of how the Gym works. When you defeat a trainer, the nearby light goes out. You must then navigate the path by memory. Reach the end and Leader Morty will accept your Challenge.
When Victoria acknowledges that she has heard and understood the instructions, the battle begins. Medium Suzuko will begin with a Yamask to test your skill. She has three Pokemon in total, so this match will be 3 on 3.

Victoria heads to the gym in a bit of a huff, not really wanting to challenge any more of them right now after that. She heads to the gym to at least check it out, not that she wants to deal with more ghost shenanigans after Ilex and after being frozen and knowingly headed to more status shenanigans. But... she's gotta keep working on 'something'.
She's a bit initially squinting to see anything but she at least sees the first trainer. After getting the lay of the land, she sends out Liebling.

Okay. OW! That really hurt! Oh well, it causes a couple of things to happen! First, naturally, is that move becomes Disabled. No more of that, thanks. Second, ghostly "spores" become attached to Liebling after striking the Yamask. Liebling's strength is slightly decreased.
On hit, Disable! Also on hit, Mummy! Replacing Twisted Power for the Encounter.
