Yeah that hurt a lot. If Baiken wasn't so naturally resistant, she'd be done for. But, she still fights on, and hopefully put the Parasect away.

Daidouji nodded, and gave a small recognition to the strength output of her Parasect. She then left to tackle other things. Daidouji still wasn't great with small talk, but it was something. Anyways, perhaps there would be something else useful out here.

Out of seemingly nowhere, an odd-looking Kangaskhan is spotted by Daidouji. It's tucked away in its own little corner of the Route. Every other Pokemon avoids it.

Daidouji sees the massive pokemon, and gets down low into the grass. She eyes it from a distance, gets up a bit closer, and pulls out her pokedex. This was what she was seeing right?

The Pokedex confirms that, indeed, this is what she thinks it is. A Kangaskhan. Though it notes the coloring is unusual (aka "shiny").

Wow. A Kangaskhan. Daidouji had heard of these pokemon. They were incredibly rare, and known to only reside in the Safari Zone in Fuchsia. Its coloring was off from her dex entries too. What an amazing find! Daidouji maneuvered around to get a much better look at it.

Kangaskhan turns in Daidouji's general direction. Crap! It must have heard something. Thankfully it doesn't seem like it's pinpointed her yet. It scoops up Baby-Khan, which was wandering around it to get used to walking, and plops it into the pouch for safety.

Daidouji tried to keep herself as low as possible, but her tail seemed to sway back and forth according to her mood. She was also having another internal struggle as she debated on pursuing this rare pokemon. One part of her desperately wanted it, but the other half wanted to let it live in nature....Hmmm. She still wanted to see it, so perhaps she could see it better from higher up. She crawled on her belly until she got a vantage point to observe it more.

After a short time, Kangaskhan seems to relax a bit. It's no longer actively on guard, but it seems to be gearing up to move out. Probably for food. The Pokedex claims that Kangaskhan is an herbivore, so it will likely go find some nice shrubbery or something.

This was her chance....so she took it! Daidouji brought out her Mawile not for battle, but for something else. "Lure that Kangaskhan in," she whispered. Baiken gave a salute, and began to do a cute little dance as she spun around. A pleasant, alluring Sweet Scent began to spread around the area. Hopefully this would draw it close. Next, Chip was out to spring a leech seed trap when it got close.
