Sookie is faltering, but she is still standing. Growling in defiance, she continues to charge the Heracross for one good, solid hit.

Heracross finally falls. Bug Catcher Miri (Yes, he has a girl's name) tsks at his own cockiness. He's not stupid. He knows he got cocky in thinking even his amazing Heracross could beat two Pokemon back to back. Still, he came close, so that's more than enough reason to keep training to get stronger! Only the "veteran" bug catchers who spend time deeper in the forest can match him at present, so it's about time he left. He hands over the prize money that Daidouji won and says he'll fight her again someday before departing towards Pewter City.
Daidouji earns 750 PYen, 10 Poke XP and 1 Misc XP.

Sookie howled to the sky in triumph. Daidouji picks up the pup who nuzzles her roughly with the sharp rocks on its collar. The monster girl watches the bug man leave as she thinks over the fight. This was a glorious win, but there was still more room for improvement. Still, her warriors deserved the rest. As she exited the forest, she hoped that Miri learned how to get his hands dirty, because Daidouji was ready to start scrapping herself. She would most likely see him again, but Daidouji still felt this forest had more to offer in terms of training.

Daidouji didn't like the bite of that cold, and neither did Sookie. If that is how it wanted to go, then that's how it would be. Daidouji roared as she swiped with her claws, and Sookie tried to take a bite of the Swinub.

Immediately after Sookie lunges for Swinub, the Trapinch Juri released alongside of it rushes in between Sookie and Daidouji before stomping on the ground to cause a minor, localized tremor.

Sookie gets knocked around, and goes down. Chip the Bulbasaur is out to replace her. The bright sun of the desert invigorates Chip to launch a seed at the enemy Trapinch. Daidouji roars again as she rages at the swinub again.

Daidouji retreated from the fight. She was mega pissed now. She exited the desert to heal up, but items, and head straight back in.

Sookie focuses on keeping an eye out for traps while Daidouji does her best to navigate the desert. Nothing of real note happens.

You and Sookie manage to avoid any of the pitfalls set up around the area, but now there is a faint rumbling beneath the earth. Like something big moving around.

Guh, this desert seems to go on forever! Surely you must have been traveling for hours by now, right? At the very least, the end has to be nearby...one would think. You and Sookie can definitely feel the tremors each time that...whatever it is down below moves about. Doesn't seem to be trailing you specifically, just moving around. It is drawing closer each time though. Both on the X and Y axis, which means the tremors will be getting stronger as it draws closer to the surface.

Picking up the pace a bit, eager to get to fighting again, Daidouji and Sookie continue on ahead; Sookie deftly avoiding traps and alerting Daidouji to their presence. Having battled her once, Daidouji suspects that these pitfalls, especially the ones that Sookie has to go wide around were made by Trapinch. A few minutes later, Daidouji can very faintly see what appears to be a solid object in the distance. That must be the exit! No sooner has she exclaimed such (verbally or otherwise) when she is nearly bowled off her feet by a massive Steelix emerging from beneath the ground about 60 ft away. It roars and begins aggressive pursuit. If Daidouji couldn't even defeat Juri, she stands no chance against a Steelix! RUN!

Daidouji is not in the mood for this. She roars at the giant steelix, but the tugging of her skirt by Sookie makes her turn to run. Sookie gets returned, and Daidouji takes off full sprint towards the exit.
