"Agh, hey, Ruby!" Emil's shoulders harden again under her grip as he tries to pull away. "I could already do this! Before I came here! Nobody turned me into anything."
At least he doesn't mind Sapphire touching the armor a little - it feels pretty much like the thick shell of a crab. "More or less. I think my parents talked to Hero Clay about it, but I think this is kind of different from talking to Pokémon like he does. The meditating was probably his idea, Mom said some of the exercises are a little bit like how the Fighting Branch teaches people to use Aura." He shrugs his shoulders. "I guess you could say Tulip taught me, and the bugs out in Viridian Forest - I can sort of focus on mimicking their moves. It's pretty useful if I need to defend myself from something."

"Oh...Sorry about that..." Ruby says, before blushing after realizing just how close her face was to Emil's. She hurriedly sits back down into her chair. "Sorry..." She says in a small voice.

Freya has remained quiet while people were talking about transformations. She looked a bit nervous as her eyes darted back and forth. She just minds her own business hoping nobody talks to her about that stuff...

Freya's eyes go wide, and she jumps to her feet. "N-N-No! I am a woman of the cloth, and n-not some...w-...w-WOMAN OF THE NIGHT!!" She covers her blushing face, and runs out of the mess hall.

Sapphire stares in bemusement as Freya flees from the hall. Part of her, uncharitably, makes a note of the subject in case she ever needs to drive the priestess away. "Well. Goodness. I..." After a moment, she gives up on trying to derive any conversation from that. "You mentioned you cooked, miss Stephanie? I'd be happy to try out some of your recipes, although if it's anything too experimental I'd like to know what's in it. I don't have much tolerance for spicy food."
After a moment, she adds, "And Ruby will try just about anything once. Please don't take advantage of that, she doesn't actually like spicy food any more than I do... and be careful about letting her in your kitchen."

By this time Emil has let his transformation fade away, the exoskeleton dissipating like a mirage. He frowns slightly at the door Freya and Ruby disappeared through. "You think they're okay? Sister Freya was actin' real peculiar there."
He squirms uncomfortably for a moment as something moves under his coat, until Acacia's head pops out of his collar - the poor Sewaddle had scurried down Emil's back when Ruby shook him. Emil fishes him out and sets him in his lap to stroke him gently. "Aww, poor guy. Sorry she scared you. We gotta get you used to a Pokéball, though. I know it's comfy but you can't stay up there forever. What are we gonna do when you evolve, huh? I'd look kinda funny trying to fit a Leavanny under my collar."

"That seems to be par for the course, with her," Sapphire says, a little more tartly than she intended to. She immediately shakes her head. "Sorry, that was unkind of me. You're right, it wasn't her usual flavor of peculiar. Less preachiness, more... panic? I've no idea what's going on there. Ruby will stop her from getting in any trouble that she isn't causing herself, at least."

Freya instinctively covers her chest, and legs. "No no no! Transformations included! I, Freya Lorelai, proud servant, and priest of the will of Xerneas, have nothing to do with transformations, or....what we said will not be discussed ever! Hmph...Now let us return back to the main building." She places her head dress back on, and wipes off her robes. She grimaces, and pulls at her outfit. "Ugh...I'm so sweaty now..." Her outfit is damp in places, clinging to her body, showing off her curvaceous body. Sweat even runs down her partially exposed legs. Wearing all black during these hot days wasn't the best idea...

Emil raises a hand to cover his mouth, but he's not really hiding that he's grinning very well. "From how much I've seen of her so far 'any trouble she doesn't cause herself' sounds about right, yeah." He shakes his head and taps Acacia in the snout with his apricorn ball gently to recall him. "I guess I should probably follow Miz Myler's example. Gotta get trainin', maybe take care of somethin' on that job board. Or explore a little. You can lemme know if there's something you want help with, though? Bug Branch is pretty easy to find, though I should warn you it's, y'know, full of bugs."

Ruby sees something yellow and realizes she still has something extremely important to do. "Oh my gosh...I forgot to find my Joltik yesterday!" Ruby says before running off to the woods to continue her search.
