"Nah man, like I was tellin' Fred, I really don't like birds. You can keep it, just don't make a habit out of it aright?" Theodore shrugged lazily. "Ain't just about you though. Your Pokemon are trying to do right by you, gotta support'em. Let'em know what their victories mean to you and things'll work out. Six is doing his best, an I won't hear no word otherwise, not even from me." He nods proudly.

"To be fair, Six has done a might bit better than Keahi or Habanero have...at least in our current record of trainer battles. BUT! Keahi will catch up, I promise that, Hab will too, right Cole?" Kai had started pretty cool, but quickly got a bit more passionate toward the end, knowing that while Six may be in the lead now, that didn't have to be true forever! He was pretty loud though, he sheepishly rubbed the back of his head as he worried he may have scared a Pokemon or two with his nonsense. Current Team: Salandit - Keahi Oddish - Wela Vulpix - Ulaula
Box: Zigzagoon - Lina

As the flutterby of butterflies passes, the route is fairly quiet for a time. Theo elects to spend some time searching for some Pokémon, and so with the rest of the group not really having a preference, they delve into the forest some more. Thankfully, there's no 'mon chases in their path this time.
In fact, it's relatively quiet throughout, and it's beginning to get to sunset before there's really any hint of 'mon nearby. The first clue that the group gets is a light ringing sensation, before they suddenly burst into a clearing, which abruptly causes the noise to stop as four Pokémon whirl to face the Trainers.
In the center, atop a tree stump, is a small golden bell, frozen in place. It sounds, and seems, like it was perhaps putting on a show for the other Pokémon before it - a rotund pink creature sitting down with a roughly egg-shaped rock of some sort, and two slender, wispy green-headed figures, with red horns on their heads, kneeling on the ground. They appear to be waiting for the trainers to make the first move.

Theodore takes a seat to one side of the small horned figures, folding his hands in his lap. "A show is it? Mind if we stay awhile and listen too? Sitting fer a spell might be nice after walking all afternoon." He'd since put his 'Mon away, he hadn't gotten to know Fred yet, and Six didn't travel long distances well.

Kai walks up on behind Theo, giving the Pokemon a wink and a V sign as he set his own stuff down beside the cowboy, getting down and rifling through his bags. "Plus, now would be a good time to set up camp... I think? Or are you supposed to wait til the sun is all the way down?" Regardless of the answer he started taking out some of his camping supplies, at least making sure to give them a look over while he was on the ground. Yep, he had his sleeping bag and lighter ready... though the lighter wasn't all that needed, considering they had not one, not two, but five little fire starters.

Cole shrugged and sat began to collect firewood for the second time today "Yeah, we can set up here and then head into town tomorrow, hit the gym first thing?"
The cook looks up with a bundle of wood in his arms and smiles at the Pokemon "Since we interrupted you all, you're free to stay with us for dinner"

The sitting Pokémon seem to recoil a little bit, though one of the kneeling ones moves to block the others from the humans, little arms outstretched. The horns atop its head begin to glow, as does the ones of the other similar one, and they seem to relax a little after conversing, which looks to travel across into the other two 'mon.
With that apparently settled, and with its audience bigger, the little bell begins to jingle and jangle again. It's... vaguely music, at the very least more than just a cacophony. Not the best sound in the world though. Tolerable, though.
That continues until a little after the sun had set, the remaining day darker in the light forest than out in the grasslands. The four seem to gladly accept the offer of food, the bell especially. The thing's mouth seems far too giant for its head... where does it even put all that food?

Humming along with the bell lends some kind of semblance of music to it, so he acts as accompaniment for a good while. His mood is positive and warm. The day was long, and full of exertions, but progress was made. It was really satisfying. Theodore goes hunting for herbs, mushrooms, and berries to lend something to the meal as the sun is setting. He leaves Six behind to chat with the wild Pokemon. Getting back, he settles in for the meal before getting settled in a thick patch of grass where he can see the stars come out.

Kai had basically laid out his bedroll and set out most of his stuff so he could sleep for the night when he was ready....which would be fine as long as it didn't rain... He had no plan for that. Once he had all his stuff tucked away, he let out his current trio of Pokemon out to play.
Once everyone was together, he introduced the newest member's name to the group. "Meet Ulaula!" He gave the Vulpix a pet as he introduced him, looking around at the other Pokemon as they chatted and ate. "Hope your all getting long?"

Cole decided to keep the Wingull in its ball for the moment, not wanting to introduce tension between it and the fire types they had captured. But once Theodore came back with mushrooms and some various other plants, he got straight to work sauteing everything together. With the pan still sizzling, he portioned food out to everyone before letting out a content breath "It's nice, I haven't cooked for this many mouths since the last time I went home for summer break"
Leaning into a nook in a tree, Cole releases Habenero next to him, the fire type giving all the warmth he needed.

As dinner is eaten, and the sky darkens, the small group of Pokémon seems to have relaxed more. The bell begins to play again, cajoled into doing it by one of the Raltses, who laughs with it ethereally, and regularly applauds the performance. The other one seems content to just stand back watching its compatriot, while the Happiny appears to just have gone to rest against a tree, relaxing much in the same way as Theo.
The trees are thin enough for Theo to easily gaze up at the stars, brighter this far from civilization. The slight night wind is warm, and the sounds of nature fill the air.
Back at the cooking spot, the Fire types seem to be getting along warmly, more or less. The Vulpix is still a little bit hesitant, but less so now.

Kai smiled warmly at the fire types getting along, feeling quite happy that the Vulpix is getting more and more used to it. He stood up letting them play and socialize as he walked on over to the group of Ralts and the Chingling, listening into it's cacophony of sound. It wasn't amazing, but he was sure if it kept it up it would get better with time.
He sat down among the group, looking them all over with a happy smile on his face. "Having fun listening to the sound? You're all some cute little ones that's for sure"

It took Cole a moment to tune out the sounds of the Chingling. He didn't want to be rude and plug his ears or anything, but after the last few days, he was ready to just...sleep for a bit. With the gym coming up, he really had to get back on his A game. Did he walk under a ladder or break a mirror on his way out of Rustboro? He NEVER had luck this bad when he was at school.
Chasing out the intrusive thoughts, Cole and Hab both dozed off to sleep in shadow of the tree they had leaned against.

Fred and Six both nestled against his side, Theodore's back settled into the crook of the tree, he called to the more stoic of the two ralts. "A bit warmer over here, if you wanted to bunk with us for the night?" He patted a spot at his side invitingly and gave a long stretch. After a wide yawn, and seeing if the Pokemon wanted to join the three of them, Theodore rolled over and went to sleep.

The one Ralts at least, seems to be enjoying the music. The Happiny appears to be doing much the same as Cole, and just ignoring the show as it moves to rest up some, until eventually the ringing bell stops, and it hops down from the stump with a bit of a churrrrr, curling up in a little nook amongst the roots.
The audience Ralts seems a little disappointed, but accepts that the show's finally over and moves to lay down also near the stump. The one that seems to mostly watch over the other makes sure that it's settled down, before looking over Theo, and plopping itself down... not quite where he indicated, but fairly nearby. It seems a little bit wary to trust, but does eventually decide to go to sleep.
All of the Pokémon are still there in the morning... especially the Chingling, much to everyone's chagrin, as it seems to start playing the instant the sun graces the sky. Apparently it doesn't need much sleep to regain all that energy it expended the last night...

Kai woke up to the sounds of the Chingling bashing it's bell. He was kind of used to waking up early to help at the Daycare so it didn't bother him as much as the rest. He gave it an awkward smile and went over to the stump it was on yesterday, using it as a makeshift drum and playing along with it's... 'melody'. It was a bit awkward to keep up but he tried, gotta encourage it if you want it to get better after all. He let his Pokemon stay in their balls, hoping that it was dampened a bit for them... Keahi can be cranky sometimes. "You really like making music don't you? Though you could definitely learn to follow a beat a bit more... It's kinda important in music, yknow?" He gave the little one a rub on it's head as he talked, his other hand lazily patting the stump like a drum, trying to make a beat. "Why don't you play to the beat, see if you can make a melody that matches it?"

"Well friend, it was nice keeping company and breaking bread together. You're welcome to come along, going to be a doozy of a trip." Theo knelt by the ralts he had invited to bed down with his little posse the night before, offering it a hand in a polite gesture for a shake. "If you've already put down roots though, I get it. Hard to pick up and just leave home, takes a certain kind of man to live out on the range." Theodore waxes poetic with a big goofy smile on his face, and tugs his hat down with his other hand.

While the other two spent their time making new friends, Cole trained his Pokemon, spending time with each one individually. To an onlooker it might look like he was trying to give each one his full attention, but really he just didn't fully trust them with each other. Habenero was known to push around Pokemon he considered weaker, the Vulpix seemed a little timid in the grand scheme of things, and he didn't want to risk anything happening with the Wingull and it. He still hadn't named either one yet either, though he had plans to before using them in the gym. Once he finished up his training he made breakfast for everyone, taking extra time to make the food for the newer additions to the team, hoping to help them acclimate a bit faster. Cole does his training and makes Baby food for any Pokemon under 15 that are being used today.

Not being fully awake yet, Kai's beat is... not the best. It certainly seems to irritate the Chingling, as it jumps up and down, ringing irritably until he stops. It then starts jumping up and down rhythmically, glaring at him and continuing to do so until he either decides to follow the beat with his hand, or leaves. If there's one thing that the bell is, it's persistent.
The Ralts cocks its head at Theo, staring up at the hand held out to it with perpetually-wide eyes, taking a long pause before eventually reaching out with its own tiny hand to touch one of the human's fingers, in a mimic of the gesture. It doesn't seem to quite understand the invitation to shake.

Kai sighs and gives in, he wasn't going to fight that hard, especially since this dumb stump really didn't work as a drum at all. He gave up on the beat he made and instead stood up, patting off his clothes before getting into position with his right arm outstretched and his left arm bent inwards towards his hand as he began to slowly dance, trying to match his Hula to the beat instead. "I'm way better at dancing than making music, so let's give this a try then!"
He tried his best to focus on Chingling's mele, the song, his feet following familiar patterns that Kiawe showed him, but the strange pacing was certainly messing with him as he tried to follow the steps from memory to this awkward mele.
