The Rattata Squad says that Meowth and Purrloin are the real problems among the Cats. Of course, there's always the occasional roving band of Dogs, but they're rare in the cities. Right now, the Cats have the other big human place (Saffron) tightly under their paw. Members of the Rodents aren't actively hunted, but they have almost no turf left over there. The cats have also begun to take over this big human place (Celadon) as well, but there are more places to hide for the Rats around here.

The only thing that happens is that it's single visible eye rolls around to look at Yue. It is a cocoon Pokemon, after all. Plus, the Poke Tome could tell her more about it if she remembers the object is in her possession.

The Metapod makes some noises that basically just sound like it's species name as it keeps on staring Yue down. Bubbles suggests moving on, as it clearly isn't very talkative.

Not much farther away, Yue feels something smack her in the back of the head! Her hair feels all sticky now for some reason, and at first she fears that she's been horribly injured! Except nothing really hurts. Bubbles confirms her suspicions by saying that she's only been struck with a thrown berry. While Bubbles is busy calming Yue down, Ralts too gets berry-blasted, and has to quickly teleport back up to Yue's shoulder when they're knocked off. Joker thinks this is quite amusing (she thinks everything that happens involving Yue is amusing though), and blasts a thrown berry out of the air when the mysterious assailant fires at her next. Bubbles' telepathic abilities allow the Ralts to discover a hidden monkey Pokemon that's amusing itself by hurling berries at them.

The purple-furred monkey thinks it's all in good fun and tries again. This time, Bubbles is ready and stops the thrown berries in mid-air with Confusion. The monkey sees what's coming next and quickly tries to scamper back up the tree, the berries flying after it. Joker thinks this is funny too. Then again, she seems to think everything is funny.

Joker and Bubbles, who had been perched on Yue's shoulders, easily avoid being accidentally crushed by Yue's falling body by hardening and bouncing away and teleporting respectively. Aipom disappears back into the tree for a moment, then something lightly hits Yue in the face. When she opens her eyes to look, she sees another thing falling from the tree at her. Instinctively shutting her eyes again to brace for impact, she feels only a light tap. Same as before. When she next looks, she sees a small handful of berries next to her. Oran Berries, to be specific. The Aipom from before seems mildly concerned that it's potential playmate is hurt, and the berries imply it's trying to help.
