Leon - Solo RP & Special Missions

Shinobi seems to either be unflappable or otherwise unaffected by the brief chill. Seems it may have been directed specifically at Leon and Clefairy only got a side blast of it as the Fairy-Type calms in his arms. Himari's smile resumes its more normal state of being as she opens her bright, shining eyes again. "I know it must be awkward for you, knowing that you and Leanne share a body at the very least." It occurs to Leon just now that Himari seems 'wise beyond her years' or something like that. It's a strange sensation, with no real reasoning behind it. Perhaps his mind is merely playing tricks upon him now after the sudden realization that while a serious Shinobi may be a deadly foe, it is in truth the Lady Himari that must be feared by her foes. While having no true concept of mortality rates among Magical Girls (Clefairy claims not to know, and Lady Himari is the only other he's met), the fact that Himari 'survived' into retirement from the position must mean that she is exceptionally powerful. Why is he thinking of this now? Who can say. Perhaps it's an attempt by his mind to rationalize or justify his brief fear of Himari. Where her aura feels warm and comforting now, relaxing him still, Leon gets the feeling that relaxation could quite easily turn into suffocation should anyone dare to harm her children.

"I do not mean to put you on the spot, dear Leon, nor to force you into a relationship with Nue if it is not your desire to be in such. I only ask that if you must let her down, to do so as gently as possible. I'll admit, of course, that as a mother I would be appreciative of any efforts on your part to help the relationship blossom if it is meant to do so." There is a brief pause before she claps her hands together, snapping Leon from his daze. "Well! Enough of that now, as I'm sure you have many other questions pertaining to magical girlhood, yes? Let us address those once more before our conversation meanders off the path again, hmm?"

Q: Do Magical Girls work alone or share duties?
A: Both. It depends on the times and the work expected of a MG.

Q: Is the choice of a MG random, or do the fairies seek out people related to the troubles they're fighting?
A: Both. It is most often random chance, but on occasion it has been known to be a genetic quality. At certain times, Fairies can 'select' a new MG if they feel strongly towards a particular individual.

Q: Are there any behavioral or societal expectations from a MG?
A: Not especially, no. Beyond the most basic of rules that Leon has already been informed of, most of a MG's life is theirs to dictate. While not required of them, most MGs tend towards engaging in open and honorable combat. So while it is not (usually) forbidden to perform a sneak attack, many Familiars/Mascots (as well as most MGs themselves) will look down upon or even outright shun a MG who does so.

Q: Is it possible to interfere with a MG's powers?
A: Yes, but only in a very few specific ways. First, while it is generally considered 'unfair' to do so, a MG can, with enough knowledge of their foe, interfere with their powers or even block them outright. Second, and possibly already known to you, interrupting a MG's transformation sequence can have disastrous consequences for the one who was interrupted. Finally, there are 'dark' or 'anti' MGs who can counter and nullify a normal MGs powers completely and render them nearly helpless as a result.

Q: What is the best way to discover my powers?
A: Practice makes perfect, as they say. Truthfully, everyone learns differently. Such holds true for MGs as well. The best way one can learn is to continue to practice and do battle against the 'forces of evil' (whatever that may be for a given MG).

Q: What happens after you defeat your troubles?
A: If you are done after only a single mission, then you were never meant to be a true MG in the first place, and were merely a 'temp MG' used for your knowledge of a specific foe. For most, however, you retain your powers until you have reached the age of approximately twenty-six, at which point you begin to lose the ability to transform, followed by loss of your powers. Why this specific age? I could not say.

Q: "Talk about myself? Why, if I did that, we'd be here all night!" *laughter*
A: "In truth, I don't really recall my early days as a Magical girl much. They were nearly two decades ago, after all. For my transformations, there wasn't as much need to worry about a 'hiding place' to perform it. In fact, more often than not, I'd simply transform at the start of or right before a battle so as to ensure my opponent's full defeat. Of course, back then, we were greater in number and had less need of secrecy."

Himari beams. "Absolutely! Just be sure you send word ahead if you're planning to visit. Wouldn't want our doorman to think you're another 'uninvited guest', after all."

Having spent the past hour or so talking about MG stuff, Himari feels a need to remind Leon about the invitation to dine with the family tonight. She also recommends that Leon be open with his friends about being a MG, as caring friends are the best thing one could ask for.

Shinobi seems to have mysteriously vanished again at some point, leaving an extremely life-like cloth and straw replica of himself in his place. Himari needs to freshen up a bit before meal time, so unfortunately she cannot escort Leon herself. Nue can show him the way though. She's always about somewhere. If, for some reason, he cannot find Nue, he need only grab a servant and they'll take him down to the dining hall.

Nue's voice comes from behind Leon. "Hello. I see you are a boy again."

Nue tilts her head in that strange manner again. "I hear what I hear." She answers cryptically.

"If it is her wish to remain a secret, then I shall do so." Is all she says in response. Seems like the jury's still out on whether she'll be able to handle supposedly only having 9 years with Leanne.

Leanne first bumps into a real wall, then finds the illusion right next to it. Woops, hehe. Once out in the hall, she finds no obvious signs of either of the girls, only their other sibling, Tue, who happens to be chatting with a servant.

"Hm?" Tue says as she turns to Leanne. "Oh, you're looking for my sisters. Nue keeps her Pokemon in a small garden in the West Wing. You'll probably find her there as well if she's not with Yue. One of the servants can lead you to the garden." She dismisses the servant she was speaking to, their conversation finished. The same servant offers Leanne a curtsy before offering to take her to Nue's Garden, as they've taken to calling it.
