"Spinda is pretty much the only Pokemon I study. There are so many things to learn about it, and many can also be applied to similar Pokemon. Bear Pokemon, Normal-Type Pokemon, etc."

Leon nodded "The fact that it's near improbable for 2 to be alike is interesting, it seems like these little bears have a lot of hidden features. Are they all as physically strong as Ash or is he a special case?" he asked curiously

"With the proper training and care, any Pokemon can become strong. All of my Spinda have unique ways of battling. Some favor physical hits, others use ranged attacks. Some do both. Although it does take a lot of specialized training (tutors) to allow them to do some of this."

"I suppose that's true, but from what I've seen in the tome, many pokemon seem to lean in a certain way. Some lean towards physical strength while others are better at harnessing natural energies into attacks. While some are more focused on defense or speed. From the sound of it, however, it sounds like Spinda's are a bit more versatile, in how they can be raised."

"Yes indeed! Spinda is actually a very good all-around Pokemon. It can easily be a jack-of-all-trades, or a specialist leaning in any particular direction. Naturally, you want to play to an individual's strengths whenever possible."

Eric ponders for a moment. "I mean, it's not that the thought hadn't occurred to me, but in truth I prefer to study them in the wild, uninfluenced by humans. Admittedly my current focus is on how these specific six interact with one another as well as other humans and Pokemon, but I often get far too engrossed in my research to properly care for Pokemon Eggs. That being said, if you're truly interested, I could probably acquire one for you as a friend; on the premise that you will take notes on its behavior growing up for me."

The Spinda turn out to no longer be in a line, but performing an odd little dance around you and Eric as you talk. They twirl, step, twirl, step, twirl, twirl, twirl, reverse direction and do it again.
Eric nods. "I'll see what I can do." He gives you an address with which to contact him via Messenger Pidgey. If nothing more needs to be said, Eric bids Leon farewell, with the Spinda quickly twirling into step behind/around him.

Leon woke up shortly after Yue had run out, looking over at his two teammates still resting he grimaced 'That battle, it could have gone much worse. It's a miracle we walked out of there alive' he thought to himself as he stood up letting out his injured pokemon, paying for more proper treatment to get them back up to full health, when it came time to pay he put in an extra 200 pointing to Brooke and Alex "If they need some extra healing, I'd like to foot some of the bill, if they'll accept it." he said feeling responsible for leading them into the conflict. (Leon pays 280 for his own healing, and leaves 200 to supplement Alex and Brooke's costs if they accept) Leon looked at his busted up clothing, and ramshackle pack, and decided for the moment to leave his restorative items with Alex. Heading out of the infirmary and back to the dorm to change into a spare set of clothing before heading to the market looking for a more durable pack. Finding one that was bigger and sturdier then his previous pack Leon bought it pouring the gear in his shirt parcel into it, before heading back toward the guild looking around for a trainer to fight on the way. Leon finds himself wandering the poorer parts of town and comes across a boy of no more than 10-11 years old standing before a group of similarly-aged children; apparently issuing orders like some sort of commander. No sooner has his curiosity taken him within 100 meters when the cry goes out of 'adult! adult!' and the entirety of the children scatter in every direction, vanishing into alleys and hiding holes that Leon can't possibly have seen in time.

Leon looked around confused, did he really look that old? He took a few steps forward taking out a Pokeball "Umm hello? would anybody like to battle?" he called out figuring that at least one of the children present had to have a pokemon.

One of the healers tending to him calmly informs him that they really have no idea. He was just speaking with his friend Brooke when he suddenly fell to the floor in what seemed like tremendous pain and clutching his head. A nearly identical story to Yue's incident just an hour or two prior when she came in, though thankfully, his heart/breathing didn't stop like hers did. So far as the healers can tell, Leon is just fine physically. They are not really equipped to deal with mental trauma, however, so if he feels a need to, they can call in a Telepath from Psychic Branch to attempt to aid him further.

Leon thought it over not sure if it would help with his mental barriers, but he figured that if the Swamp Witch had somehow got around them. Maybe there was a hole somewhere that someone in the future could exploit. Left without many other options on how to proceed Leon nodded "Yes please, I think I need to talk with someone who can look into minds" he said.

The healer leaves to go deal with Leon's request (the Psychic Branch are a reclusive bunch, as one might expect). While they are gone, a strange, pink Pokemon that Leon has never seen before strolls into the room and hops up onto his bed.
"Hello!" It says to him, which he somehow understands. "I am a Clefairy, and I am here to become your Guide in using your new abilities!"

Leon paused looking around the Clefairy first making sure he was actually alone as he put a hand on his head 'Alright...Talking pokemon, maybe whatever the Swamp Witch did caused more damage then I thought' Leon thought looking down at the pokemon before shrugging 'Might as well be polite until the Psychic comes in and declares me crazy' he thought sitting up a bit.
"Umm Hello there Clefairy my name's Leon. Can I ask what you mean about new abilities?" he asked.

"Oh yes, you haven't 'awakened' yet. I can help with that!" It proclaims before lightly rapping Leon's forehead with one hand. Suddenly, his mind is filled with information, new information. A 'new' yet old Pokemon type: Fairy. Additionally, he finds that 'emptiness' that was felt so keenly moments before rapidly filling up with something new. Something.. sparkly...and... pink? Why does he feel that this new energy is pink? As if reading his mind, the Clefairy smiles widely and proclaims his powers 'awakened'. She will happily aid him in getting a feel for them later. With the knowledge that it is a highly sought after Pokemon, Clefairy finds one of Leon's spare Apricorn Balls and hops inside.
Leon gains 2 Misc XP for learning of the Fairy Type, and officially gains the Glamour Weaver class. :3
Shortly after, the Psychic walks in to examine Leon. If they discern any of the information about this 'Fairy Type' from him, they make no comment on it; though they seem not to be probing his mind too deeply. They explain all that they are doing to him is examining his mind. Something definitely happened to him, and from their perspective, it's as if some sort of psychic bomb went off inside his head, but was contained by something else, minimizing the damage. They declare him to be both healthy and in a sound state of mind, though they do recommend avoiding blows to the head or stressful stimuli for at least a day; just to be safe.
