Adventure Thread - Group B

"Come on over, I don't bite. That is... unless you ask."

Rei begins to work on the magical girl she doesn't know is magical yet, and starts wrapping up injuries.

"Oh, look at what they did to your pretty outfit! Now you absolutely need to let me fix it."

"What about Quiver?" Brooke interjects, only partly to distract from Leanne's slip. (Sometime soon she's going to have to corner Leanne - or Leon - and ask how important all this secret stuff is.) "You mentioned you were looking for Pokemon like your Ditto. Quiver's... well, she hasn't got Ditto's gumption in a fight, that's for sure. But they look alike, kinda, and she's a sweetie."

"Her," Brooke corrects, digging the relevant apricorn out of her pack. "Now I've got to warn you, she's not much of a fighter... not yet, anyhow; the scholar who identified her said she might get stronger as she grows. But so far... well. Could be I'm just not the right person to bring it out. Lord knows she don't fit well with the rest of my team. Now, lemme introduce the pair of you, make sure she knows what's goin' on. Don't want her getting confused the next time she comes out, or thinking I've abandoned her..."

She lets Quiver out. "Hey there, girl. No, you don't have to fight anyone, don't worry. This is Rei - remember her? With the Ditto? She's gonna be taking care of you from now on, if that's okay with you. Yeah?" It's pretty hard to read the body language on a slime puddle with eyes, but the Goomy doesn't seem particularly crushed, at least. (Brooke, on the other hand, is visibly anxious.) "Wanna go say hi?" Quiver schlorps agreeably over to sniff at Rei's shoes.

Quiver makes squishing noises that may or may not indicate pleasure, and starts trying to climb atop Rei's foot. Brooke relaxes a little. "Well, she's not scared of you, anyhow. That's a good start."

She stands up, stretching her legs. "I reckon you're right, we oughta head back. No sense pushing our luck any further today."

"Yeah heading back sounds nice," Leanne said yawning a bit but smiled when Rei thanked them "You're welcome Rei, you seem like a very kind young woman, and I'm glad I could help you out, I'm sure Brooke feels the same," she said as she started following Rei back.

Rei spends the next few days settling in. After they came back, she turned in her quest after naming her Skorupi (Now called Chesh), she went on her night-time shenanigans with Hitomi. Although she tied to be enthusiastic, the swamp trip did a number on her energy. She didn't expect it to be so far and the final fight to do so much. Hitomi was at least sympathetic, and they tried to have a bit of fun company with eachother before Rei got a bit too tired. They both agreed to try it again real soon. Rei did feel real bad, but Hitomi brought up that next time she'd properly 'see' her. Rei was confused until Hitomi took a nearby object and mentioned she 'sees' by feeling. THAT got her to feel better pretty quick. The next few days she got into a good rythym getting used to the guild, and did some decent training or her pokemon.

Now she's waiting for her new friends in the breakfast hall, hoping something exciting will happen.

Brooke may not be readily apparent, but just then there is a distant, familiar cry of "REEEE!" from somewhere outside. 

Outside, a slightly-bruised Brooke is picking herself up off the ground, while a bird Pokemon circles down above her. It's... probably Sharp. It sounds like Sharp, certainly. It even looks sort of like him, except that while Sharp was the size of an ordinary bird, this Pokemon is several times larger, with a wingspan to dwarf even the tallest human. The colors are loosely similar, though, as are the sharp points. 

It swoops down and attempts to land on Brooke's shoulder, knocking her over again. "Augh! Dammit, Sharp, you can't fit on my shoulder anymore!" The bird's head droops a little. 

"Ack! Wh - Yue?" Brooke is bowled over for the third time this morning, but quickly recovers enough of her senses to return the hug. "You're back! How's the noble life treatin' you?"
