"Oh I suppose Leanne never did get around to explaining who they were, she might have wanted to give me the chance to explain. The Hectrils are the bad people who are capturing up Fairies to use against Dark types like Rex. They're the evil me and Leanne are supposed to fight with our powers," he explained.
"As for who they were before they started this crusade? They're a bunch of disgraced fraudsters who used a modicum of knowledge in Alchemy and the Occult to sell themselves as Witch Hunters. Until the formation of the guild, they made an open practice of targetting Elementalists turning people against them and then 'hunting' them for money as witches. If they couldn't find Elementalists they'd go after Ghost Type pokemon like the Litwicks, Dark Types and occasionally Psychic's like Bubbles, claiming they were evil spirits and monsters." he said sighing "They're very bad people that I had the dissatisfaction of knowing quite well." he said.

So the Heck-a-Thrills are evil circus people who steal L-Mints, whatever those are, Ghost, Dark, and Psychic type Pokemon and use the Pokemon to trick people into buying the stolen L-Mints for outrageously high prices! We need to stop these guys!" Yue says, nodding in understanding(?), determined to protect Bubbles and Hearth.

Leon was taking a moment to process what Yue had said trying to figure out how she'd mistaken things so badly, though she seemed willing to face them even with the strange narrative so he decided he'd try to undo that knot of confusion later, he turned to face Brooke when she asked her question "Honestly I'm not sure. I would like to see if I was right, but Celadon is a huge city. Trying to find a single pickpocket might be too big a task for just the three of us. I'm also worried I'm getting nervous over nothing, it's possible that their followers are just abandoning them after they were driven into the hills and the one I saw had picked up pickpocketing as a new career. I just believed it would be a good idea to let you know that they might be here in the city and give you a better idea just who the enemy was," he said.

Leon thought about it for a second "I guess the best way to say it would be a Ninja Mansion..." he said before pausing for a moment "...Oh right," he said blushing a bit embarrassed he didn't think about that before. "I suppose if anyone could find out information it would be ninjas, or is that prejudicial thinking? Just because they enjoy performing as ninja's in combat is it right to assume they also do the espionage work as well?" he asked.

Leon sighed a bit defeated being called weird by Yue "You're right Yue, I suppose we should at least ask. Though I wonder if somebody already knows." he said glancing at the places he knew were secret panels wondering if Nue had been listening to their conversation.

As if on cue, everyone else begins to look around for where a certain blonde eavesdropper may be hiding. Of course, it's only after they've determined that nobody is going to show themselves that Nue pops up. From below. How? Ninja shenanigans. That's how.
"It's not as if you're really trying to keep it a secret. If you were, you wouldn't be discussing plans in a house full of ninjas." Nue deadpans as she boops a surprised Leon's nose. Apparently she'll do that to anyone, not just Yue and Leanne.

Leon took a moment to be surprised by the general ninja chicanery and the fact he'd been nose booped as well, before managing to collect his thoughts "I suppose that is true, at this point, I just assume you'll be listening in on anything involving Leanne or our are a mission in the future. I don't mind too much and there's not much I could do to stop you as you've already shown," he said chuckling "So let me ask your opinion since you're already up to speed, do you think the Ravenbrandt Family could find this person or at least keep an ear out for mentions of the Hectrils?"

"Already done. The nobles of Celadon are a gossipy bunch, as Yue has already mentioned, and our family has several informants scattered throughout the city. Once we get a message to our informants, if this person or someone like them turns up, they'll be the first to know and will relay all appropriate information back to Father." Nue explains.

Leon nodded "Thank you Nue, Though I should probably say there might be some Hectril news that won't help us find them..." he said taking a breath "If your informants come across news of a Hectril son giving information about their location to the guard in exchange for a pardon, they're talking about me," he said looking ashamed "I never took part in their business, I wasn't even allowed out of the compound, but I still believed what they taught me about 'monsters' and 'witches.' I...I probably would have ended up being like them if it weren't for the fact I turned out to Elementalist myself. They locked me up and I'm only here talking to you now because Rex helped me escape. Since then I've learned more and more of the awful things they've done and I'm ashamed to share their name which is why I go out of my way to hide that I do," he said looking to the floor a bit.

Nue remains as stoic as ever. She has no visible reaction one way or the other to Leon's sudden admission. "What does that have to do with anything?" She questions in her usual deadpan. "These 'Hectrils' do not seem nearly as dangerous as you believe they are. I only said we would listen for information on them because you asked. They really can not threaten anyone in Celadon without drawing attention to themselves, and if that were to occur, the City Guard would be the least of their worries, depending on whom they chose to threaten."

I understand it doesn't mean much to you," he said turning to Brooke and Yue "The rest was to let you two know why I've been lying about who I am. Nue's probably right they've lost any power they might have had and aren't likely a threat to many people. But being related to people who ruined and ended lives for money isn't something anyone wants to advertise," he said

What I meant to say is, I don't reckon you're obliged to spill out your life story to every stranger you meet on the road. I do appreciate knowing, especially if they're lookin' to cause trouble. But you got no call to apologize."

Leon looked at Nue "It's a bit of everything guilt over what they did, shame in the name and blood we share, even a little bit of cowardice that those rightfully spiteful at them might pick me as a target while they are hiding. I hid it because I wanted the Hectril name to die up in the hills with them, at least until I became someone good enough to change it from a mark of shame to a badge of honor," he explained.
When Brooke spoke up Leon smiled if only slightly "Thank you, Brooke. I guess the best reason I'm telling you guys now is that I trust you. You're good people and good friends and I wanted you to be ready for what's coming and if the truth about me came out at all I wanted it to be coming from me and you're right even if they've become nothing but bandits and pickpockets they're still using their techniques to hurt people and pokemon. If that's the case then I have to do everything I can to stop them."

Nue seems to accept this answer and falls silent. She waits to see if there is anyone else has anything to add. Yue, knowing her sister even as little as she does, will probably just declare that 'bad guys need to be beat up' and roll with the rest of it; presuming she even understands it all fully. Which she probably doesn't, but maybe that's for the best. She can be the light that Leon/Leanne needs to keep them from curling inwards and hiding away. Not that she'd let Leanne do that. Leanne may 'own' her now, but that doesn't mean she'll be passive in their relationship.
