"Wow, Ira, How did you do that?" She asked her brother. After that she hurried towards the Mimikyu and sat down next to it.
"It's not damaged too badly is it?" She asks the pokémon.

One of the Mimikyu squeaks excitedly, pointing at the sky with its tail- at least, it intends to sound excited; it instead sounds like a high-pitched movie monster retching. The portion of the sky it points at detaches and swoops down, causing a great stir in the leaves with the breeze of its passing, before settling in the bean-bag chair. It's a Pokemon- a large one, with great wings that display the endless infinity of the night sky. Its red eyes shine down affectionately at the Mimikyu, who do a quick little dance in front of it- either in joy or worship, you don't know. Then the Mimikyu you met at home points its tail at Ira, squeaking excitedly and gesturing wildly, and the great Pokemon looks at Ira with interest, smiling enigmatically. The big Pokemon: *** Back at the house, as Hau switches the Nio tape, Rotom straightens up. " I'm not sure why," it says, " but I have a sudden urge to talk about Pokemon..."

Kane looks over with a bit of curiosity
"Um . . . ok. What do you want to talk about?"

Occult Ed to know who this is:SXCOZKub4d6 Ira steps back in shock, his hand still on his pokeball. Clearly, whoever or whatever this thing is, it's a big friggin' deal. He thinks - its appearance seems familiar, so he takes a moment to try and put his finger on it. 4d6

Rotom displays two images onscreen- one of Meowth and one of Persian. Kane can't help but do a double-take, as both look different from the ones he saw back home. It says " I wanted to talk about the Alolan version of Meowth and Persian- how prideful and haughty they are, how they like bullying and stealing from the weak, and that, in spite of that, they are still popular as pets." Rotom tilts itself to one side, pondering. " It's odd. There are no Alolan Meowth or Alolan Persian in this room..." A cursory glance around the room reveals this to be true. There's a sleeping Munchlax you've been using as a seat, a couple of Keckleon skulking in a corner, an avatar of all things evil and hate-filled a Dedenne that's clearly trying to toughen itself up by watching Nio, an Alolan Exeggutor peering through the window, Tapu Koko in its Nio shirt, an odd little Pokemon with a bubble of water for a head, and a few Pidgey... but no Meowth or Persian. The Odd Little Pokemon *** Ira recalls reading something about this monster in the darkest depths of the internet. On some conspiracy website, the notion was that the Earth, in addition to being flat, does not have natural cycles of night and day- rather, a special duo of Pokemon provide night and day as required, with one Pokemon creating sunlight for the day, and one Pokemon devouring that light to create the night. Many respected scientists, however, dismissed this as nothing more than a crank theory- right up there with Pokemon who can expand continents or oceans- yet, right now, in front of you, is the Pokemon said to bring the night and give light to the moon and stars. Lunala.

Elise can only gaze in awe at the beautiful pokémon in the moonlight.
"Hello! After she's done gazing at the pokémon she places her hands on the back of her head. Greeting the pokémon nonchalantly, completely oblivious to it's true nature.

Ira gulps, his hand still hovering over his pokeballs. Not that he thinks he has any chance of fighting off a legendary but, if things go south, he can at least buy time for Elise to escape.
"Don't suppose you'd care to tell us what's going on here?" He asks.

Rotom shakes itself in a "No" gesture. "Not now," it says. "Let's wait until tomorrow, and then have Kukui take a look. I don't think you're trained to crack me open."
***
Lunala doesn't speak. It just continues smiling at you, enigmatic as the moon, nodding at Elise to acknowledge her greeting and presence before looking back at Ira. In front of you, however, there's a flurry of activity as all the Mimikyu perform what looks like a short play telling the story of what happened. The Mimikyu either revered Lunala as a god, or viewed it as some kind of alpha pack leader 'mon, and got the beanbag chair for it. Then the Persian and the Meowth took over, chasing off the Mimikyu. One of them went to find outside help, stumbling upon you guys. And then Ira cam and scared off the intruders, just in time for Lunala to come and sit in the beanbag chair. And all is right with their tiny world again. Lunala leans in closer to Ira... closer... closer... Then its eyes glow red with power momentarily, and something small and hard- about the size of an acorn- falls from the sky and hits Ira on the head.

Ira's eyes cross for a moment as the object hits. "Ow!"
He rubs his head, wondering about the possibility of getting a helmet, before looking down at what hit him.

It's a tiny rock- still the size of an acorn. The surface is a lustrous black, but the interior seems to glow with a thousand points inner light. It's like Lunala pulled a chunk of the night sky down and condensed it, just for you.

Ira blinks, suddenly thinking of little chickens for some reason.
Shaking the thought out of his head, he picks up the... piece of the sky? "Uh... thanks. I... think?"

Lunala nods at Ira, satisfied, as the Mimikyu swarm around him, chattering their thankfulness to him. Never a dull day in Alola. Unless you have anything else you want to say or do, you can return home.

"Oh better keep that then!" Elise says. She had no idea what it was, but it probably was going to be useful somehow. If not it would be a nice souvenir. She tried to play a bit with the Mimikyu before returning home.

Ira nods as he continues examining the Fragment. "Yeah - if nothing else until I figure out what it actually does." He sticks around until his sister is done with the Mimikyu, just in case.

The Mimikyu are quick to introduce Elise to their favorite toy: a beat-up, patched, but still usable hacky sack. The Mimikyu use their tails to hit the bag... but they're not that good at keeping it in the air. Still, they have fun trying. All the while, Lunala sits and looks on like an indulgent parent, always smiling that enigmatic smile. Elise If you want to play, just make an acrobatics check to keep it in the air. Ira At least they're not asking her to play forever. You also get 2 trainer xp for driving off the Meowth and Persian, but you can't help but feel that you haven't seen the last of them...

Elise tries to keep the ball in the air with the Mimikyu's using her body.

It's about thirty minutes to midnight by the time Elise and Ira stumble home. After Elise demonstrated her superior hacky sack skills, the Mimikyu insisted on playing a little longer, learning from watching her. Meanwhile, at home, the Nio marathon is still going strong. As Elise and Ira shut the front door, Rotom floats by carrying a new bowl of popcorn. "Oh, hey guys!" it says cheerfully. "Where've you been?"
