Clerk: Not sure; let me give him a call...[Dials a number]...hi, Dr. Rockwell. Two boys are asking me where you went...Ok; bye. He's upstairs in an "Employees Only" lab. He says he's still working on your fossil; it should be done in another four hours.
Sam: Oh, well I guess these things take time. Hey Wally, do you think we should investigate the saloon while we wait?
The two exit the museum and walk to the saloon nearby. At the door, they meet a bouncer.
Bouncer: Hello, you two! You seem a bit young for saloons, but I'll let the tapper treat you how he may. But I'm gonna need to take any Pokemon and weapons you have on you first. You'll get 'em back, but we don't want that sorta trouble if people start acting up in here. Good with that?
Wally: Ah. Well, I don't want to chance it. I have to keep my blood sugar up. My friend and I will head to the store and get me a chocolate bar and then we'll come back.
Wally and Sam head to the Poké Mart, but they don't go inside. Instead, they head around to the back, where Wally releases Tynamo and puts the little electric Pokémon into his inside jacket pocket. Then he and Sam return to the bouncer.
Wally: Okay, we're ready. We don't have any weapons, so here's all of our Poké Balls.
Wally turns in his Poké Balls, including Tynamo's empty ball, and then heads inside. The first thing Wally does is head up to the counter and ask about Leftovers.
[Sam (Telepathically): That bald guy by us is eying that young woman, thinking "Damn; that chick has quite a toned ass; I'd like to pinch it to see how much!" Meanwhile, she's thinking, "Wow; that guy looks like he's been working out a lot! Unfortunately, he smells like it, too!" Also, I agree.
Wally: Okay, first of all, I'm sorry. I lied. Professor Oak didn't send us. The reason we know your name, and the fact that Oak has ties to you, is that my friend Sam here is psychic. We wanted to get you out here to warn you about the guy inside, the one you thought looked buff but smelled awful. He's making plans to possibly assault you. We don't want anything from you and we'll part ways here. I just wanted to make sure you knew so you could plan accordingly. Maybe you can tell the bouncer, there, to keep one eye on you or something. I dunno. It's up to you. Anyway, we're heading back in now but, like I said, we don't have to interact again in there. Okay? Have a great night. Sorry if we put you out any.
Wally heads back in to talk to the tapper about the vandalism of the Poké Mart.
Crystal: Thanks, although if it wasn't for you two knowing my name, I'd question whether Sam is really psychic or he just knows how hormones and alcohol work! Still, thanks. Let me do some things out here, and then I might come back in.
Tapper: I don't know anything about vandalism of the Poke Mart, but I can't speak for my patrons here. But whatever's up, remember that alcohol doesn't program people into delinquents; it can only disinhibit people's natural urges. But no; this pro-booze sentiment doesn't mean I'll sell you minors some!
Wally: That's okay. I never touch the stuff myself. Thanks again for talking with us. We'll find an empty table. If any Leftovers come available, gimme a wave, would ya?
Wally leaves $5 on the bar and heads to sit down.
Wally: Alright, Sam. Just start scanning surface thoughts. Work your way from one side of the room and back. Keep going like that, just back and forth. Go slow. Take your time. Don't strain yourself. Maybe you'll pick up something to do with the poo on the Mart's wall.
Sam walks around the saloon. He gets some funny looks from people, but most don't seem to know he's a psychic. He comes back to Wally with a possible lead.
Sam [Telepathically]: That bald-headed guy over at the card table has some nasty thoughts about the Mart. He thinks the good beer is too expensive there, and that this saloon doesn't have his favorites!

Hi there! I'm Seya, a 24 y.o. editor in Atlantic Canada. I enjoy writing, reading, webcomics, art, worldbuilding, and video games (I can talk for ages about SotC and Monster Hunter...). Although I'm relatively new to playing Pokémon Tabletop via forum, I've been putting together sites like this for a long time, and I'm really excited to work with you all to create an awesome environment for Pokémon roleplay. While my job here is primarily to keep the site running smoothly, I'm always happy to chat, offer advice, and deal with any problems you run across. Let me know if I can be of any help. Inbox is always open! Cheers! xx :)
Hello! I'm Sly, the East Coast mod representative! I'm a 22 year old tax accountant who is exactly as exciting as that sounds, I'm sure. PTU is my major hobby, I run several games (of which the Geode games are my pet project), and I read a disgusting amount of fanfiction. I've been a member of the community for about a year, consider myself more GM material than player material, and am dedicated to helping make your time here enjoyable! If there's ever anything you need, don't be afraid to send me an owl! (Or a PM, I guess, if that works better for you.)
Hey there! I’m DataNinja, the West Coast representative. I'm the most active Staff member on here, so if you need something, try giving me a poke first, and I'll see if I can help sort out your problem. Always happy to help!
(1 May 2015): "For our first pack, we’re focusing on utility character options. Hopefully, this will give you both interesting insights into our dev process as we make changes over time and another focused avenue to give us feedback on what you’d like to see out of PTU."
People are out there, yes, but if you're looking for a game, sorry to say that things seem to be winding down overall. There's basically been... 3 games in the last 2 years, none of which got off the ground.

It's very slow, yes. You'll probably finish working on your game before one pops up here, and if you create a recruitment for it you can expect to be swarmed with applicants.

New games seem to open up slowly here, but if new people are still welcome, I don't mind waiting around (or working on my own). It looks like there's some useful stuff to browse in the meantime.

Keep an eye on the recruitment area of this website. They're rare nowadays, but any new games that crop up will show up there. If it's a live game you want though, you're outta luck.

but how else do i find games then?

Sounds to me like they weren't a group you'd want to be part of anyway.

Basically, GMs post recruitments in the appropriate section, and then players apply to the open games. Unfortunately, there has been a rather... small amount of games posted lately, but there's one currently recruiting right now.
