"Well... Alara. You should be alot better now. I think after what I've done you won't need any treatment back in town, but I'm not a professional. Just had a lot of practice on well... myself. Heh."
Sylvester clears his throat before giving a meek smile.
"Next!"

More worried about Alara's well-being than the fleeing hulk, Elodie stays nearby while letting the girl recover at her own pace. It irks her to no end that the guy managed to run away without justice being dealt, but she couldn't complain about everything; true to her word, the brute didn't take anyone out, and that was good enough for her.
At Sylvester's invitation to introduce herself, El spins around to face the others with a wide grin and a casual salute. "Name's El! Nice ta meetcha, Silf- Sirv- Salv...?" she stammers, stumbling over her words while trying to figure out how to pronounce Sylvester's name, finally giving up thoroughly stumped as she waves her hand in front of her face.
"An' don't look at me like that, I'm totally all right! A splash o'water like this ain't nothin'!" Elodie vehemently denies, thrusting out a victory sign over-enthusiastically. Okay, she isn't totally all right, seeing as how she is soaked from the waist up and her arms were still stinging slightly red from the pressurized blast, but nothing a change of clothes and a little time couldn't solve.
A small chitter reminds El that Ruri is still out and about, and the girl kneels down and taps her pokeball on the spiny little rabbit's nose. "Ya did a great job today, sweetie. Mission complete~"

Sylvester laughs a bit as Elodie bungled his name.
"It's not the first time. Sil. Ves. Ter. Just like that."
He pats the grass next to him again.
"I insist to at least look at it, Miss El. And I'm sure David agrees, as you took the attack on his pokemon's behalf."

David nods firmly, even as Armature darts over and tugs on Elodie's hand to get her to sit down.

After a moment of hesitation, Elodie easily caves to the combined insistence. "Well... okay. And it's just El, no 'Miss'!" Elodie defiantly pouts as she flops down between Sylvester and Alara, sneaking the girl a playful wink.

"Alright then. Just El." Sylvester gives a smile then goes to work, doing the same sort of treatment he did to Alara to Elodie. "Totally all right is not the case here, I see. Those blasts really seem to have left their vicious marks. I'll do what I can, but you might need a bit of outside help." He applies the ointment, quite a bit more than earlier, and then wraps them in bandages in the same way. When he's done, he gives Elodie a small pat on the shoulder. "There. Now don't go running head-first into a raging water cannon. At least not right away, or I'm going to run out of materials." He gets up, and walks over to David. "As promised, the girls first. Your turn!" Before David can protest, he does the same thing to the tech wizard. Although he doesn't need to use nearly as much as either of the two girls. "There! Everyone is in 'relative' ship-shape!" Jad gives a small chirp from Sylvester's shoulder, wondering why he didn't get the same attention. "Yes I know Jad. Normally these are for you and me, but we humans can't fit inside a pokeball and be placed in a healing machine. Which the professor has one, so you just stay perched there and you'll be healed up, and ready for our contest showdown with El!" The Zubat gives a few flaps and another chirp, satisfied with the answer. Seemingly excited, as well. 12 HP to David
24 total HP to Elodie
0/6 ap remaining for the scene

"I guess I'll try not to," Elodie jokes as she stretches her arms out in front of her, testing the restraints of the bandages before hopping back on her feet. She then turns around and smiles to the shrinking violet, offering a hand up. "Alara, right? C'mon, let's help Lisa with those items."

As the girl says her name, Alara nods in confirmation, and slowly takes El's hand to be pulled up. She then shuffles over and picks up as many supplies in her arms as she can, which isn't much, considering her small form.

"The assistance is appreciated Sylvester. Let's get these items back to the pokemart, and return to have our partners healed." Both David and Armature scoop up large armfuls of the stolen items, though David pauses to use his 'dex, scanning the other four's mon.
"Should have attempted a scan of those anomalous Staryu. The Professor may have been interested in their combat capabilities." With that, he'll head for the pokemart, Armature on his heels.

Upon returning to the store with the goods, the clerk immediately thanks you. "Oh! You got them back! Marvelous! Such good news! Merchants around the region will be in your debt!" He seemed quite enthusiastic, perhaps too much so, but maybe that was for the better, as he clearly seemed grateful. "Hrm. Let me thank you personally. Here!" Lisa, having gone along with you guys, turned to thank you as well. "Heh, not bad out there! He was tough, but we made sure to stop him! Now that that is settled, I've got some training to do. We're going to take the League Challenge you know! Candlebright and I will defeat all the Gyms. You guys should probably do it too."
She smiled before leaving the shop in a rush, leaving the clerk to nod at you guys. "Not a bad idea. A lot of trainers like to attempt it, and given your performance, I doubt anyone around here can compete easily. The closest cities are Parr City, Faire City, and Tulidaisy Town, but using the Durant Tunnels can get you straight to anywhere you want to go, assuming you're fine with dealing with the hoards of Durant and occasional Heatmor you'll find in them. There's actually an entrance right outside the city along Route 1. Did you guys receive maps yet? Here, let me update your Pokedexes with the map. Far more useful than the paper ones.""We're at the far left currently. That's Star Top Village. The two large cities to the east, from top to bottom, are Parr City and Faire City. The large town to the south and east of those cities is Tulidaisy Town. The small village close to us is the Iselde Shrine. Both Parr City and Faire City, as well as Tulidaisy Town, are home to Gyms, so starting at any of those might be good."
The man cleared his throat. "Anyways, thanks again for the help guys. We'll remember you around here!"

"See ya, Lisa! Let's hang out next time!" El waves enthusiastically as the girl rushes out of the mart. She was hoping Lisa would come with them, but it looked like she wanted to run off on her own. Darn. At least the pokemart clerk gave them some nice things.
"Well thanks for the map and everything, but I sure hope you'll remember me! I've only lived here for, I don't know, two years," El teases the clerk, knowing that he was mainly directing that to the other three, "But really, happy everything's back for you!"
El turns back to the others and asks, "So, where we going? I think Connor said that he thought we should avoid Faire City, but other than that I don't really care where we go. It'd be nice to go down by the shore though!"

As El addressed the group with the question, the thought of 'Were we really meant to travel together?' swims around Sylvester's head. However he does not speak his thought, as he has a second one about how if Rekt is something they face out of the proverbial gate; then he wouldn't do well alone.
"I'll agree that if a place is rough it certainly may not be for me. And well..."
Sylvester glances at Jad, still on his shoulders.
"Jad and I really haven't trained for battle. The regular gym challenge may not be our thing. But that doesn't mean I can't tag along when you go! I still stand by what I said in the lab at first, and would be happy to see you all victorious in your matches!"
The showy young man gives a big smile.
"I myself am more interesting in finding the contest halls of the area, but I do not know where they could be. I would guess the biggest cities, but they could be anywhere the crowd goes! Speaking of, El I believe I owe you a contest as well! We could have a foe one ourselves when we have a free moment, if you'd like. I bet your Ruri would have fun with it! Or you could enter an official one with me. A 'Contest by Fire' of sorts."
Sylvester chuckles. Then he seems to remember something.
"Ah, hold that thought. I should check on my grower!"
He pulls out a small hand-held plastic case with a berry plant growing inside. A single Rawst Berry sits dangling from one of the branches. He carefully plucks it and adds it into his bag, before putting the grower away.

David accepts the healing items and the map with a nod of thanks; still digesting what Lisa had said as she left. He finally tunes back in when the others begin discussing where to go. "I concur with us traveling in a group, an individual like Rekt is unlikely to take his defeat with any form of grace, and will most likely seek retribution. And while I am first and foremost a researcher, taking the gym challenge sounds like a good way to gauge my team's ability to handle whatever may be lurking in the dark corners of the region's ruins." Armature puffs up, flexing his over-sized arms in mock indignation at the insinuation that he's not up to the challenge.
"As to our intended course... my own purposes for coming here were to study the unique legends and occult happenings of this place. To that end, I would like to visit this "Iselde Shrine" for further research purposes. Also," he takes a look at the map again, "It appears that the water route is closed to us, as I don't believe we have any mon capable of ferrying us around at the moment. So, what I'd like to propose is, in the interest of being fair to everyone, we stop by the sea-shore to look around, perhaps find out what the town to the far south is and potentially catch a mon that can serve us as watercraft later on. We then backtrack, and head to the Shrine. From there we can choose to either head north and visit Parr or Faire, or move directly through the mountains to Tulidaisy; to resupply and take our bearings there.
He stops and considers for a moment. "I would also seriously hesitate to use these Durant Tunnels at the moment given the high probability that we'd be swarmed under."

As the other three discussed the logistics of traveling together, Alara looked between the three with a look of confusion. They were expected to... travel together? O-oh... Her mind swam as she thought about all her former interactions with them were replayed in her head. What did they think of her? Did they like her? They saw how she just attacked that man with a knife, did they think she was weird? That was probably it, they thought she was weird. And yet they still wanted to travel with her and won't make a big deal about it? She sat there fretting in her own mind, tuned out from what everyone else was saying until just before David stopped speaking. She blushed in embarrassment and looked between the others, somewhat lost, before quietly speaking up. "I wouldn't uh- mind going to the Shrine but... um... could we maybe heal our pokemon before we g-go anywhere?"

El grins at Sylvester as she replies, "I'm ready for that contest, but Ruri needs to rest a little after that fight, so maybe later! If my first time ends up being an actual contest, that'll be super exciting!"
After listening to David's explanation, El nods eagerly. "David's plan sounds a-ok! Connor said we can use the healing machine in his lab, so right after we heal up our pokemon, let's get going!" Still somehow bursting with energy, El is practically out the door. "C'mon!"

The trip to the lab was short, sweet, and non-eventful, though many of the residents came by to congratulate and thank your group. The Professor also offered his thanks, and handled healing your Pokemon for you. He echoed the avoidance of the Durant Tunnels however.
"I have no doubt you guys will do just fine on the road! Rekt clearly was a powerful match, but you prevailed! So, good luck on your journey."
Making your way to the shoreline along Route 2 was not at all difficult, and, beyond a few enterprising trainers who bragged quite clearly about their shorts, their Rattata, and their burning love for bugs, the trip offered little challenges. Armature managed to keep most of the birds away as well, while the small bugs weren't keen on Jad. While none of the trainers directly challenged you either, a few of them were battling each other, allowing you an opportunity to add "Seen" entries on Rattata, Caterpie, Weedle, and Patrat to your Pokedex (as well as memory of such classic schoolyard taunts like "My Caterpie is stronger than yours!").
The shoreline itself was a different beast though. The area at the edge of the route was a small, unmarked fishing village, and a cursory glance from afar revealed several small huts, some locals, and a bustling project, with many of the men hauling large wooden slats and stone pillars alongside large Humanoid Pokemon with grey and / or purple skin. Many women seemed to be running small market stalls for individual wares likely fished out of the water, or otherwise tended to small purple seaweed gardens and washing down the huts. There were also conspicuous purple seaweed clumps on the beach as well as several tourists enjoying the beach, the water, or fishing. At the moment though, there seemed to be a League official currently standing beside a hastily assembled signpost that had a small picture of a Pokemon on it, the Pokemon resembling a cat colored white with a peculiar bronze-brown trim, blue eyes, and folded ears. What made this one stand out aside from looks was that the cat was also dressed up in a costume.
Some of the locals, and perhaps a few trainers, were listening to the man at his small stall. Aside from that, there was also a Durant Tunnel entrance to the left outskirts of the village, with a Heatmor seemingly looking to get lucky as three Durant try to dissuade it from getting near them.

Sylvester was quick to return to natural form and attitude during the trip along Route 2. His showy nature had returned in full force as he tried (In vain for David and Alara most likely, but El seems to respond better) to drum up conversations and get to know the others.
As they arrive to the fishing village, however, most of the sights are blocked out of his mind as he sees the sign and the official. His eyes go wide and he practically slaps his hand on El's shoulder in a near-death grip.
"Could it be?! So soon?! In this humble location?!"
He releases the grip, and looks to her.
"I believe our trial by fire may begin TODAY!"
Before anyone can respond, the young coordinator begins to run off toward the official to ask. But he manages to take in the entrance to the Durant tunnel along the way, noticing three of the namesake pokemon being distracted by a Heatmor. He slows down to a stop, having an idea in his head. He studies the pokemon for a moment. The tunnels were told to be filled with the creatures and be dangerous, and he can see why. Their heavy metal bodies ending in sharp metal mandibles.
Perfect.
Sylvester turns on his heels and makes a few steps back to the group.
"David, you seem to be the strategicaly-inclined sort among us. Do you think there is a way of engaging the staring contest you see over there in a way that I could catch a Durant for myself WITHOUT causing issues? Like the others ganging up on us, or causing those in the tunnel to come out for vengence; just basically avoid all danger whatsoever."
